@Palgarr probably cause all they did was copy most of the stuff from Dying light 2. Even the drop kick is the exact same animation like seriously how does everyone think this game is a masterpiece when they just stole all the animations from Techland and only created like what a few new animations all that's missing is the parkour and you could call it Dying light 3.

I agree. I started a second slayer. I'm taking my time, getting to really explore and find new weapons and side quests. It's a blast!

My buddies and I did this in Co-op and we were taking bets on who would die. I had my money in everyone dying except the slayers. When they took off and Patton took a moment to get used to things, I thought for sure they were about to bury that chopper into the side of the building.

I mean, there's alot more that hurts more than an arrow in that place

I like to imagine that the bite made the playable characters have a high pain tolerance as well as super strength

He literally came back from death at some point in the story, taking damages is just a mere inconvenience now.

He's got autophage in his system and is a Numen (a mix between human and zombie) so he's probably got high pain resistance

It's explained in riptide that they are RESISTANT not immune, also contact with anything that might change their dna might negate their resistance (like a new strain or chemicals, which we find both in here)

The virus in Dead Island 2 is basically a different virus, being the HK-1 virus, which is a genetically modified version of what's in Dead Island 1. Think of it like being immune to a disease, but then the pathogen mutates so it can infect you.

I gotcha, so basically every autophage ability gives you an advantage and a disadvantage, along with an autophage level, there’s 3 of them, the more level you have, the more zombie you are, just like the abilities, you get strong with zombie powers but also lose humanity, there’s more detailed information if you press triangle or Y (don’t know on PC) while at abilities section. Now if you meant the autophage that mentions Reed, I understood that basically autophage is the virus and only numens don’t get completely controlled

Its enhancing muscle, tissue, and cellular growth but at the cost of mental degradation. He’s a rare one where he gets all the benefits and no mental collapse. It’s a theory that humanity has some genes locked away for evolutionary paths that could be self destructive

@@BronyGaming-or8kv yes because by the look of it this virus causes large genetic mutations with the host while kuru only enhanced muscle tissue if it mutated the host in the instance with Ryder but I’m pretty sure that wasn’t even kuru it was a messed up immunity shot that acted as a rage serum much like riptide but most infected types in the first games were just caused by types of people or commonalities in environment and activity after turning. But some of the infected in this game tend to have larger mutations and they act in a much different way meaning it could very well be a different virus

I mean, the virus in Dead Island was Kuru, and the player characters were immune to it. The virus in Dead Island 2 is the HK1 Virus, which is different - hence why the mutations in Dead Island 2 are more extreme than Dead Island 1.
