I only want to hear about 3 things 1. New gameplay 2. New blogpost 3. Confirmed beta or release date Anything else is just white noise at this point.

When Hytale releases, whenever that is, I'll be there.

i remember grinding the sewers in Dark Souls when i watched the first trailer of Hytale for the first time, and was absolutely obsessed over it, never knowing we would still have almost nothing 6 years later...

I just hope the magic system is far more complex than what they showed in some gameplay back then

Spoke to some of the Hypixel team at Develop:Brighton and from the sounds of it the engine is mostly ready; things are now moving along much more smoothly. I hope we get to see a beta at the end of this year but that may be optimistic!

Most people would already lose all hope and forgot about this game if not minecraft's fuckup after fuckup. I mean only reason they are still in the race is fact that they are racing agains guy who trips all the time while they still didn't started...

I just hope that Hytale fish aren't lifeless.

They keep saying "we'll share soon" months and years later they still saying that. I've lost all hope. This isn't Skyrim, its a Minecraft looking game. That would beat Minecraft in 5-10 years time. But now it's dying off. RIP...

hoping for beta to open in late 2025

still hyped and i'll definitely check the game out when it eventually comes out but man... as someone who's been here since the trailer dropped back in 2018, it's been EXHAUSTING. like back in the day, the devs themselves would tell us through blogposts that the game or at the very least the beta would release sometime this year, and there's still nothing. i totally get why, and i know (i hope) the game will be worth the wait, but man does it suck waiting this long lol

Like fck me, this is ridiculous, and like it wouldn’t be so bad if they had a roadmap right, “here are the things we’re working on, and the progress” you know something like that… all we have rn are the same things we knew 5 years ago.

Its been 5 years and no one has been given tester. At this point no one cares if its bad right now, we just need someone to give us actual gameplay.. not those "look at us in this cave!" we want an actual gameplay where they show the main screen, the world generation, basically just showing the game. That's all they need to give people assurance. No one cares about all these because its been 5 years and all we get is "they had a little problem but here is some news that 99% of you wont care about." Its been long enough, nobody is eating this up anymore. You've been repeating the same news again and again just rewording it and adding some small details

I'm so happy it's taking years to develop. I mean it. Even when the final product is "good" but released early... it's messy code that gets tangled real fast! With proper development, this game can be future proof, moddable, scalable, etc!

I don’t know if this helps, but there is an indie game developer here in youtube who use to work at blizzard. He has a short on his channel titled: making an RPG is tough. In it he explains why making an RPG takes so long, and it is because of the cutscenes. His channel is Pirate Software, and I highly recommend looking his channel up.

They began in 2015 so it will definitely more than 10 years

so far my Biggest concern with Hytale is what will they do with monetization. I REALLY hope then don't use the stuff a lot of free to play games have been doing. Such as FOMO (fear of missing out), lootboxes (gambling), Battle pass (typically uses fomo), and microtransactions (not as bad as the other 3 but not good either). Unfortunately idk what other options would be good so I'll just have to wait and hope its stuff that is considered fair for the community and not something to just make more money at the expense of players fun.

If the game doesn’t come out next year or 2026, I’m giving up on it, personally I’ll be 26 by then… the wait is insane, people who originally saw the trailer won’t get to experience the game much, we’ll be way too busy with our lives to truly enjoy the game when it finally releases.

I don't know if they answered any of these questions, but I want to know a couple things about this game that I was wondering about off the top of my head. 1.) With how moddable the claim their engine is, I want to know how moddable the graphics/lighting can be. For example, could I mod the lighting so that the dark is much darker and the lights, much lighter, creating a vibrant contrast between light and dark while providing a more threatening atmosphere at night (Think IRL flashlights in a pitch black forest or cave) 2.) How easy will it be to play modded content with friends? Not only content others have made and that you've added to your world/server, but modded content you, yourself have created? Will I be able to make modded creatures, gamemodes, ect and have my friends try it out quickly and easily without having to even leave the game?

I’m not completely convinced that this game even exists.

The game seemed practically finished with the old footage. So it's naturally pretty frustrating to hear that they decided to make everything brand new from the ground up in a new system, and that means they can't show us progress because it apparently looks worse than it did years ago?

I really hope they add other playable races

When did you become a mouth piece for Hypixel?

The real question is, when is the perfect time to release Hytale? If you release Hytale at the wrong time it'll be a flop, but play your cards right and it can become the next Minecraft. 2020 would have been a good time because everyone was mostly online, but that past now, so it 's gonna be difficult to time the release correctly so it blows up

Tears of the Kingdom took 6 years to make. It was packed with reused assets, people call the game Breath of the Wild DLC. Why did it take 6 years? Most likely engine modifications. TOTK has wholly new mechanics for the building system that BOTW didn't have. Don't underestimate how long an engine takes to make from scratch. I'd give it 5 years for the Hytale engine alone, then +3-5 years for the game, 8-10 years total. The new Hytale Engine started being written in 2021, so don't expect a release date being sooner than 2029. Maybe a beta in 2028? I want to know the state of the engine, not the game. If the game was close to beta release, they would be showing game footage. They aren't showing game footage because there isn't any game yet, still just engine work.

I know people are sick of hearing my "negativity" at this point, but I feel like it's important to do so because SO people are keeping their rose-tinted glasses on for far longer than they should be. This year I've seen a turning point where a splinter of the community is waking up and being real about the situation. Which is that Hytale, for the emphasis and 'proclaimed' love of their community - really only exists as a shadow of a promise and people desperately re hashing the same information in every way possible to keep even that alive. We've gotten almost NOTHING for years and there is absolutely no way to know if the game (if it ever comes) will be the game we all even fell in love with. Hype and expectations were carried on for FAR too long that no matter what we end up getting it will NOT live up to or match the game people made up in their mind, it just won't - it can't. This story doesn't have a happy ending set up for it.

You Must all Ask Yourself do you want a game halfway done or do you want a game that is perfect if a game developer is trying to make the game the best as possible you should be Patient and Wait i know it's hard but it will be worth it

@0:58, I think its a different reason. I think it has to do with that the Hytail team doesn't want to share information to their competitors, like Minecraft or anyone else that could copy-paste their ideas and say they are their own.

KC, we all love and adore your content. Posting this kind of resurfacing old news over and over on RU-vid is going to ruin all hype for the game for most people. We love your style of content for Hytale, but it's frustrating primarily from accounts spewing the same stuff countless times..especially a video from with old info and recap to have add a sponsor inside it feeps strange. non aggressive pets caught my ear like a warm hug, love the idea of pets that live and breathe in the world, instead of the status quo if it either being a personal property boost, or a cosmetic afterthought to your character. Love that there is attention and detail going into this game

To be more simple, I'd like the world to build around the character and characters pets like there abilities and looks determines to the npcs or certain npcs wether you're good or evil or to be trusted or not like depending on your abilities or you're pets abilities or looks determines which npcs factions are more going to trust you or let there guard down around you

I think they messed up with that first trailer. The game should be all ready by then when it was so hyped.

when you look through the team on their page i dont have much hope for this game at all, too many talent recruiters and not enough talent on the team, this games slowly dying and it isnt even close to being released, eveytime i remeber to check in on it i have a hard time trying to remeber the name of the game and theres still nothing to show for it

Hytale is the nuclear fusion of gaming. It will be ready, we just need to be very patient. It will be worth the wait.

they are hiring a monetization manager so all my hope for the game is pretty much gone at this point it is riot and tencent after all.

I am still super worried about the possibility of Hytale being f2p with mtx, battle passes, etc. I think that part of the reason Palworld did so well is because it was cheap, and it didn't have any mtx. Unfortunately, Riot, and by extension, Tencent, love making games with microtransaction slop in them (think Valorant and Genshin). It makes me wonder how much control the Hypixel devs have over the project. On the flip side, if the modding tools are as expansive as they claim, it makes a battle pass worthless because anything in the pass could be replicated in a mod, but that also means that mod support could be the first thing on the chopping block if Riot/Tencent force the dev team to squeeze as much money out of the player base as possible.

Got a question And although you dont work on the game itself You're probably the easier person to contact, compared to devs (probably not by much, but i wouldnt know where to start, and im already subbed to you) So the hytale team dont want to share current gameplay, due to it not being at the same level of development compared to the original gameplay And they are waiting for it to catch up first, so people dont get dissapointed The question i have is Once they get to the point where they release new gameplay footage, which is at high quality, will they eventually release gameplay of current development Aka, "This is what the game did look like while development" stuff i know you arent a team member, but you are probably the most knowledgeable person outside of the hytale team And even if you dont know, you are knowledgeable to made an educated guess, or at least an opinion And if you dont want to answer it, could you direct me the places i could ask, because the idea of directly asking them is intimidating, and i dont know how to start One more thing, To me, you are the hytale version of chippy-gaming (idk if you watch chippy, but chippy is basically the main youtuber of the terraria community, and gets to be the main communicator to the community, despite not being part of relogic, although, relogic is a very community orientated development team, so lets hope hytale is also just as community orientated) Thanks for the regular updates of hytale news

just another video recycling the same content and talking points we've been hearing for the better part of 5 years. you are starting to sound like a broken record tbh.

I’m gonna be honest. Not showing any gameplay might have been the worse decision. If they consistently kept showing change play to the fans to at least give them an update each time, then later publish gameplay with the new engine when it’s ready, it would be a huge jump for hype in the fans. Because they’ve taken so long, the expectation of the fans is now through the roof as to what the new engine looked like, they’ve increased expectations tenfold my withholding gameplay. My guess is that tons of fans would be disappointed at the new gameplay as a result.

Well personally ill wait no matter how long it is since i liked the project from back then when they released first trailer. Thing is i don't care that much and ill rather wait until they finish it whenever it will be next year or another one i would rather have good finished playable game then buggy and broken mess i seen a lot of those being released and im not interested anymore or even for any big AAA slop for 100$. There are lot of other games currently releasing from indie space and im more then happy to play those. What im looking for when it comes to Hytale essentially is expanded modding and creativity. Modding in MC isn't that bad but Java just isn't my thing so if C# is going to be a thing or some custom scripting language i will be very happy in that matter and fishing i hope this game will have fishing and maybe even diving exploring underwater world would be cool.

so basically, they haven't finished upgrading everything they've done so far to the new engine. Which means that by the end of this year the game will only be in the place where it was 2 years ago. Therefore, we can conclude that the game will not be released for at least another 2 years.

I am curious did they really have to delete the old engine version of hightail version 1 say what you will about this doing they're making but the old one had at least a good showing of the potential did the game will become did they really have to get rid of that one specifically though it looks too good to be deleted but then again I don't know I'm not a game designer though I do plan to research everything about game design as well as development just to make sure for my own reasons
