All In, Beautiful + Underwater 💜 | MONSTA X MVs REACTION 

All In - Fighter - Beautiful these 3 songs are part of "The Clan" trilogy : Lost - Guilty - Beautiful albums In "All In" there are a few stories 1. Shownu's father is sick in the MV. He needs money so Jooheon helps him rob a bank to get money. When he finally has the money, unfortunately it is too late and his father has passed. 2. Hyungwon's father is very strict to the point of abusive and doesn't want him to hangout with his friends MX so he beats him. Minhyuk as seeing this becomes consumed in rage and burns down whatever building organization Hyungwon's father is a part of. (along with I.M & Wonho's help) 3. It isn't shown well but Kihyun is running in crutches, has a disability which he is trying to overcome. The flower is a healing flower, it has powers. The blob in the end of the video looks like a heart which you will see again in the "Fighter" MV. 4. part of the fan theory is that Jooheon is the catalyst, main guy that makes the things happen. He is always the facilitator, the shaman, the watcher. In all 3 MVs he is someone with importance.

I don't always like to explain things out of fear of being incorrect, but I feel like I need to add this: The general consensus is that Minhyuk and Hyungwon in All In are in a relationship and that is (at least partially) why Hyungwon's father is beating him. At the end, yes Hyungwon is dead, and I believe Minhyuk dies with him, giving that Romeo and Juliet sort of storyline. While it was not explicitly stated that they were in that sort of relationship, there are many hints at it, and I do believe that's what the creators of the video were going for. If I recall correctly, Minhyuk and Hyungwon also called it a special relationship in an interview one time. So I just wanted to add that because I didn't think I'd seen another comment mention it yet. Also an interesting thing about The Clan series is that the three parts are called Lost, Guilty, and Beautiful. Meaning the first letters create LGB, so it's the LGB Trilogy. As in, LGBT. The Clan trilogy is made up of 3 title tracks: All In, Fighter, and Beautiful. So you've seen 2/3 of it now! It's not completely clear how the three are connected, but the one thing that we know definitely connects them is the blue flower. It's in all three. And yeah it definitely gives them some sort of high? Anyway, I'm sure others could explain this way better than me, but I hope what I said was at least a bit understandable. 💖 I'm so glad you're enjoying your Monsta X journey!

I listen to a lot of kpop, but MX's BSides are incomparable, so eclectic and unexpected. I love the title tracks but their bside is on another level. You might particularly like Nobody else (the performance in the water was superb). Their english albums are also well worth a listen. PS: i forgot broken heart, this song make me cry each time i listen to it

Underwater has always been one of my fav b-sides because of what you explained. I've always felt like the 'dark' and 'uncomfy' parts of the song are meant to make you feel the desperation of being under the tides of the ocean, wanting to go back to surface but having all the strength of the ocean pushing you down underwater. That is the dark part of your mind taking control over you, representing all the thoughts and feeling of loss, guilt and pain and you wanting to scape them but not knowing how. You feel like you're drowning. And then the 'lighter' parts of the song are meant to make you feel hopeful that you can be free, that you can be saved. The change of sound makes you feel relieved when they come after one of the dark parts because it feels like you're finally breathing a little, having reached the surface for a moment. You feel hope, so those parts feel calming and peaceful... And then the song sinks you down again. The production is genius because it definitelly matches the vibes and the lyrics of the song, they make you feel underwater. It's amazing.

Monsta X's discography is very well produced. I there is a level of intellect in the way they make music that is not just to fun to listen to but also to invoke feeling and tell a story. Do you remember how Beautiful Liar started off so strong but as the song went on the passionate guitar faded but it kept you with a feeling of wanting to hear more because the ending was just shy of satisfying. It alludes to the vicious cycle of a toxic relationship described in its lyrics. Underwater reminds me of that the story telling and the engaging sound. You don't even need the lyrics to feel the song. They have a lot of songs like this that just suck you in, all with different feelings. Monsta X has always presented these strong sounding music but with sweet lyrics 🤣 they are well known for it. I want to recommend: The part of the trilogy that you missed "Fighter" "STUCK" a b-side with a special clip performance "SHINE FOREVER" The repackaged of the Beautiful Album not technically connected in storyline but think of if as if Monsta X reincarnated after the "Beautiful MV" in Beautiful is like a purgatory of some sort where each of the members need to overcome whatever it is that is holding them back in order to leave their confined room/prison. Jooheon isnt in a cell he was watching over all of them and/or giving them items that would help them get out. In the end they are able to leave.

Fun act: All in is considered an LGBT+ anthem due to Hyungwon and Minhyuk story line in the MV. The MV was released on May 17th which is International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia. AAAAND also, "All In" is part of The Clan Trilogy of albums: Lost, Guilty and Beautiful Trilogy; which spells LGBT. 🥰

Also for the rap line,recommending Sambakja and Be My Friend. If you watch them one after the other, you'll really appreciate Jooheon and I.M's duality

The blue flower is actually larkspur. They express the willingness to love, the welcoming of vulnerability, and the acceptance of one another for who they are. Larkspur suggests the capacity for compassion, forgiveness, empathy, and understanding. It is also a reminder to be able to express emotions freely and cultivate a connection with others. Which makes perfect sense why they used it in the music video.

The story for All in MV feels complicated because there is couple of story lines shown at the same time. MV shows different struggles of each member in the post war scene or during the war times. Old person that hit Hyungwon supposed to be his abusive farther, who beat him up and Minhyuk wanted to revenge him (instead of supporting his friend and staying with him at difficult time). A lot of people think that Minhyuk burned down the headquarters of the "police"/forces and framed Hyungwon father's organisation, so they got arrested after. But this all results in Hyungwon's suicide in the end, most likely of the whole situation with the family and reaction from Minhyuk that he interpreted wrongly as rejection of the type. It feels a bit of Reomeo&Juliet like scene here with them 😅 Shownu struggling with the poverty and his family member needs medication/medical care. So that's why Jooheon and him decide to rob a bank, but when he comes with all the money, the peson is already died, everything proves to be useless at this point for him. Sp that's why he is buring all that money. It's hard to tell the struggles of other members, because we don't see much of their story here, but for Kihyun it's his disability which prevents him from trying to stop his friends from bad decisions or trying to help them. Blue flower has significat role in the storyline and might have some magical properties. It will be appearing in other MVs too. It also represents the symbol of their Clan, I believe. Monsta X's next MV Fighter is direct continuation of this story in All in MV.

Yayyy more monsta x. This is exciting. Since hyungwon is captivating you a little you should watch his episode on nothing much prepared with youngji. You will get to know his sense of humor more. Now with the songs. Beautiful and all in are connected with a third song called fighter. With the all in video there is a theory out there that it’s an lgbtq song and that minhyuk and hyungwon are lovers. I don’t necessary believe that theory which it can make sense I just don’t see it that way. I think the guys are fighting against a bad organization that is taking there home away and controlling the town and they won’t stand for it. So they fight against it. And with hyungwon and minhyuk I think to be honest it’s not a couple type relationship. I’m reality hyungwon and minhyuk have known each other the longest. Those two would do anything for each other. And I feel like they told that story in this. That’s just my thought on all in. And again there is a third in this series called fighter. With underwater the way I see it is it’s about a love that they feel like gives them breathe but it’s also suffocating them. It gives them oxygen but it’s also the one thing that’s making them drowned. I can’t wait for more. I am loving these monsta x reactions. And I hope you check out nothing much prepared with hyungwon on it. Also IM did an episode of it and jooheon did also. But jooheon was on it before it became a drinking show but those three have been on it so far. And hyungwon is the longer episode 😂😂😂

Regarding the line in the Underwater song, that caught your attention, I would interpret it as something along the lines of " the reasons for my living overwhelm me and take off guard, so much that by breath caught in my throat/ it rises up to chin preventing from breathing" You know, when stuff feels too much and even the good things become like triggers of sort. At least that's what I'm getting from the Korean lyrics there. They use verb which has meanings " swoop/ take by surprise/ attack" . In English the translation of that line as "the reason for my living covers my breath, till it rises up to my chin" would probably made more sense to me. But I'm not native speaker of both languages, still learning and might misinterpret things or miss out on contextual usage Update. Actually I totally forgot the other part of the song while thinking about the meaning of this line😅 Saw a comments of others and it would make more sense if it won't be about the life stuff, but rather about how the love they felt, which once was their reason to live, started to suffocate them and make difficult to breathe

Underwater is my favorite kpop song of all time. To me it reads like this: Someone is standing on the edge of a diving board ready to take the leap (metaphore for getting into a relationship, and bearing your feelings). Then you hit the water and its cool and refreshing (the chorus, the weight lifted off your shoulders once youve bared your soul to someone else). Joohoney's verse is the panic of being underwater, asking someone, like please help me, like how you feel trying to swim back up to the surface and panicking as you run out of breath. The chorus again is the breach of water finally getting that breath of air. Then it repeats, you dont understand how much i love this song lol.

I love their B-sides. I think it's because their earlier songs the members were more involved with helping writing and producing them. Thanx for the video and I loved the reaction.
