We explore Kandy from the hills all the way down in to the center, the holiest city in Sri Lanka with the sitting Buddha temple and the Temple of the Tooth shrine. Check out the local market where the kind tailor does some custom work on a shirt. By Kandy lake I meet a big group of Indians having come all the way from Karnataka in India and it looks like many come here on pilgrimage judging by all the dosa restaurants nearby. A long day so long video, could have easily been two hours.

Sri Lankan Thervadha Buddhism is very different from Hindhuism. In Budhism we dont pray for gods. Budhism is based on paticha samupadaya. "if this exists, that exists; if this ceases to exist that also ceases to exist". The basic principle is that all things (dharmas, phenomena, principles) arise in dependence upon other things. So Buddhist dont belive that God created the world unlike other religions. We dont pray to Hindu Gods. Your assumptions about these similarities is because of your lack of knowledge about the deep roots of the Sri Lankan culture and Buddhism. Please do not mix things up. We are not India, We are not same as India. we are not Hindus, we dont speak their langauage, we have a different culture. Sri Lanka is unique and beautiful in its own way.♥ Please stop stereotyping. not every brown person is Indian.

When he said "Bye Bye boys" to the small monks I literally felf died.😁😁😁 They are Buddhist monks Pedro. They are out of their parents and normal life of a normal child. They are the carriers of the Buddhism learnng to become high monks. All the people in Sri Lanka venerate them.

55:01 Kandy is the capital of sinhalese and buddhism that time , so people keep the place to look like old traditional city moody lights and huge shady trees, aesthetic lamps , walls and buildings almost all the street lamps in KANDY are yellow(orange) color , so it gives a vibe like city is still lighting at night with fire, walking in the yellowish streets of kandy at night is one of the best vibes ever, especially while chatting, joking laughing, enjoying horror stories with teen friends

Absolutely mesmerizing! Breathtaking nature and joyful people. Those kids, doggo🐶, and Buddhist temple (wow!). Really it was filled with smiles. You can visit Delhi now, G-20 meetings are over, it rains like once in 20-25 days, avg temperature is like 30-32 deg Celcius. Cheers Brotha!

Hello Rover! You have spent your majority of time in Bangalore city itself. Karnataka is known for “one state many worlds” for every 50 km culture, language and food change here. I hope you should have explored country side of Karnataka like Hampi, chithradurga,uttar Kannada, dakshina Kannada, coorg. In October there a festival called Dasara and it’s also world famous festival. In Mysore they celebrate like a carnival. There are many places you could have visited in your stay here in Karnataka. And there is Hampi uthaava in January. And you just went to Sri Lanka in the month’s festival here in India like you missed Ganesh chathurthi there are many more in coming months. I hope you come back in time to celebrate festival with us. ❤
