Tim, try the food at bake house and cakes at queen's pastry shop,both should be opposite the lake. Suggesting the two places because I saw a video shared by travel vloggers who were recently in Kandy and had lunch at bake house and cakes at queen's pastry shop . They gave 10 out of 10 for the lunch and after having the cakes they said they could hear the angels singing in heaven. So don't miss it.

Sorry for the inconvenience you had to face from the "hustlers". Kandy is my hometown. I was quite disappointed by the treatment by these people. But I can vouch there are so many nice people who are genuinely good and won't take advantage from tourists. Hope you will only meet such genuinely good people in the future 💯😃 Another thing. Belgium does not seem to be the poorest country in Europe at the moment. Belgium is very dear to me with maNY reason😍. Belgium Chocolate is my favorite and I think it is the purest and most preferred category of chocolate combined with yours. I also love the Belgian team as a football fan⚽⚽. Yes, of course it should be done, they sold 200 rs weralu pickel cup for 400 rs. also that man near the vender woman grabbed another 100 rs not allow to give back the balance, Next,this man called to Mr Tim very bad way, “huththige putha” , should be produced to the court . l ask to the police of Kandy, please take an action against this man, also to the street vendor woman. This is a SHAME not only to the Kandy citizens , but whole srilankans.

If the wifi speed is major concern of yours, when you book a hotel, ask the hotel that whether your internet connection is fibre optics or just 4G. Because in sri lanka only usable wi-fi for upload videos and stuff providing thorough fibre optics cables. The infrastructure is still developing but most urban ares have fibre now. In rural areas not so much. So it's important to check the hotel's internet provider is fibre or just they using metered 4g access points. Hope you got some idea about internet situation in Sri Lanka 🤘

Kandy is a very Hottest city in sri Lanka at the day time.Because ita covered with a ring a of mountains which is a cause to reflect the sunshine.and all the heat waves are remaining in the city

It is a challenge for this innocent to escape without being fooled by these lowly men. Dude, you don't need to get experience with these street vendors, some are good some are very bad. Sri Lanka is a beautiful country with the most amazing people. Meet them and enjoy your trip a lot.
I think the police should do something about these scammers. I was there few weeks ago and it's the same story. Kandy is getting a bad rep because of these stupid guys and alot of 'pick me' drivers drive around to bump the fare. Not a bad idea to avoid Kandy if you're going to SL.

When you go to a touristic places you will see lot of scammers. Unfortunately hard thing to get rid of them. Best Sri Lanka experience is always away from touristic places.
Sir, i just watched your video on 'India trip' today. I watched that scam video nd other few too. I m really sorry that you started your visit with a negative impression but Indians r very nice, hospitable, innocent nd caring too. There are some qualityless people who try to take advantage of others just for their profits. Man sad to hear there are a lot of scammers in Kandy. But yeah as soon as they see a foreigner some of them try to take advantage. But sadly this is not only in Sri Lanka but some other Asian countries as well 😢
