Additional Company: 332d Company, is a company of the 501st Legion, which was made of Clone Troopers who stayed loyal to former Padawan Ahsoka Tano, who led the new company as well as the newly appointed Commander Rex. Before splitting from the 501st Legion, they particopated in every battle with the 501st Legion. When they split, they participated in Siege of Mandalore. When Order 66 was executed, all troopers were killed in a crash on their Venator-Class Star Destroyer except Commander Rex who defied Order 66 and helped Ahsoka Tano escape.
I wonder if the incident with Gunray and that one Senate Guard was the informal reason why we only ever saw coruscant guard clones on missions like that after that whole misshap?
Now there is two of these videos, this is getting out of hand. Jokes aside, I love the clone wars and old republic era's. I can listen about clone troopers all day lol.
Hi The Scoundrel's Cantina this was a very interesting video i really like learning more about the inner working of the clone army. i look forward to seeing, what you guys will come up with next. sincerely your big fan and small youtuber. thanks for the heart
I loved your first 2 clone vids on ep2 and ep3, and this one is just as awesome! Keep it up guys! You are one of if not the best channel at getting details about the clones correct (i.e. the transition from colors being rank to p1 legions, etc.) and being a clone fan, it's awesome. I'd love to see more videos like this such as all legends clone divisions and types, commandos, whatever!
I would be like Hardcase, head in with heavy duty weapons like gatling gun, like a heavy class from Battlefront 2. I would love to be in the Galactic Marines!
what confuses me is that a legion is supposed to consist of 4 battalions of which each battalion has 4 companies so if Rex is the captain of both torrent company and the whole 501st, this implies there are no clone commanders in the entire 501st legion because they technically would outrank Rex
A Legion consists of 4 Regiments, which each consist of 4 Battalions. Each Battalion is made up of 4 Companies, which are made up with four Platoons each. starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Regiment/Legends#Galactic_Republic starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Battalion Captain Rex leading the entire 501st Legion was a strange thing that they did for Canon, which is very odd. In the Karen Traviss Clone Wars books, we simply get the impression he only leads Torrent Company and any units placed in a task force underneath him, which I find easier to believe. :)
I'm not sure if they count as a clone division, but what about the Kamino Security? I didn't see them mentioned in the last video so I was hoping they'd be here.
@@godsdj7316 fair enough, i still think they should have been mentioned in at least one of these videos nonetheless (given that the coruscant guard was)
Would you ever make an updated version of this list and the Corps, Legions, and battalion list due to new ones being added to canon. Such as the 13th Battalion from Jedi Fallen Order?
I pray that one day, we'll be able to speak about Old Republic military factions and soldier types like we do with the Clone Wars era. In a canon way. Why? Because I love these videos.
To be fair, we never saw the entirety of Tango Company during TCW. It's quite possible that just a platoon or a squad from the company was sent along with Ahsoka Tano, hence why we see a lieutenant and not a captain. Good question, though!
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that in Legends the 501st was a brigade sized element under the Command of Commanders Appo, Vill and Bow, and Rex was just a company commander which makes sense given the fact that he's a captain, and the other three are field grade officers. You also left out Arca Company, which both Delta amd Omega Squads were a part of.
In Legends, the 501st was a Legion commanded by a Senior Commander, with Regimental and Battalion Commanders in their proper places. Appo was a sergeant until he went up the ranks later on. starwars.fandom.com/wiki/CC-1119/Legends Rex was a captain who led Torrent Company. :D
the 41st is made out of green company scout batallion and attack (i think) basically the scouts are using phase 2 armor in camo and the attack battalion is on kashyyk during order 66
Ahsoka’s legion or whatever it is should be in this vid too, now we haven’t seen them on the screen yes but they still have it planned, her division is from the 501st ranks and to what understand or think from few pics, Captain Rex was also in charge of this too as of Ahsoka as well
+MVP_GAMER69 Ahsoka's unit is currently unknown. We know that the clones have orange helmets and that they're from the 501st Legion, that's it. They couldn't have been a legion/division if their troopers all came from the 501st or else the 501st wouldn't have any clones left over.
+Crazy Jedi A Captain leads a company. There are four companies in a battalion, so there are four captains in a battalion. A legion is comprised of four battalions, so that's 4x4=16. A corps is comprised of four legions, so that's 16x4=64. Sixty-four captains in a corps. I hope this helps!
The 181st Armor Division is new to the Star Wars universe, is not largely known and is hence not known as 'major', and was recently created for Star Wars Battlefront. starwars.fandom.com/wiki/181st_Armor_Division On the other hand, the 187th Legion is Mace Windu's legion, and has purple markings. c:
starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Horn_Company Horn Company belonged to one of sixteen battalions serving in an unspecified legion, but official lore has never confirmed which battalion they were part of. Some fans assume they were part of the 442nd Siege Battalion.
How come there were often unmarked clones with torrent company during the early days of the clone war? How do you know if they didn’t belong to another battalion?
The Clone Wars novel by Karen Traviss explains they were part of Torrent Company. In the early days of the Clone Wars after the rank colours were being phased out and unit colours were brought in, there were lots of shinies around.
