♥ Where to buy the seeds?
I got the Aiyu dried fig seeds (愛玉籽) at the day market in Taipei, Taiwan. It is very close to the subway station (CKS Memorial Hall Station). There were several vendors that sell these here:

This is incredible! Growing up in Singapore, I've had lots of Taiwanese desserts as they're really popular here. I've had Aiyu jelly so many times over my desserts but this is my first time watching how it's made! Super beautiful! It's one of the few jellies I can eat without having to think twice because I don't consume gelatine or animal-based coagulation agents :)

This is so fascinating. I never even thought of making aiyu jelly before and never even knew that it was possible to make it at home. I love your channel so much, it's so informative and your videos always look great!!! Thanks so much for sharing.

I love how you just went crazy with the cutting (not like neat pretty cubes), it was fun to watch! Aiyu is so light and refreshing, with just the right amount of sour to cut the sweetness

S.04.24.2021 Hi, Corey and Blueanchor. If the recipe is calling for the figs that are imported from Turkey in the U.S., then find them at your local supermarkets or even at Costco. Unsure if they are the same specie equivalent for the recipe from Taiwan. They should be affordable. Let's say price range is

For those, who keep asking where to get the seed in the U.S.? Honestly, I don't think we can get it from anywhere else beside Taiwan, not even through Online. But... you can definitely get this jelly in canned in any local Asian stores near your house. I bet it will taste about the same. If you don't know how to find it. Copy this title and post it in Google Image. "Chin Chin Ai Yu Jelly / 親親 愛玉果凍" so you'll get the idea of how it looks like. I already bought it. It tastes great when you serve it with ice or you store the canned in the fridge :) it tastes refreshing and with a lemon tea scent.

If my Asian grocer doesn't sell the figs, what should I ask for if they don't speak English? Feel free to reply the name in the language you think they can understand, I can then show them your reply. I know the title has the name in the language, but I want to ask for the seeds. I don't think I will find the figs.

Or did Ms. Wong receive a permit for the importation if aiyu seeds while re-entering the US. I have forwarded link to this video to the US CBP and USDA inspection service for an explanation. Thank you.

She brought back dried figs, which is perfectly legal for personal use as long as it is declared. If you have any concerns about things like this in the future, the USDA makes this information freely available on their website.
