CFMOTO is officially starting EICMA season off strong and announcing my most anticipated bike of 2024. Will the 800NK be the beast I think it is? Who knows? I ain't no future lookin at person. I just read an article. If you're looking for soothsaying and the casting of bones look elsewhere. Perhaps Shadetree Surgeon. But let's be real, no one's reading this part. It's just for SEO.

I like some of these bikes, the 800nk styling actually seems toned down compared to yamaha MT and the ktm dukes. And i think as people realize that these are engines from other popular brands, the reliability myth will slowly disappear. If they wanna make it in the USA, market the crap out of the price and get people riding.

A good way to explain the CF Moto dilemma to people is by comparing the motorcycle market to the atv market. When people say, "oh well CF Moto is Chinese and therefore must be unreliable" etc, or they hesitate on purchasing an unknown brand. Just explain one simple yet compelling fact to them. Just four years after entering the atv market, CF Moto became the world's top selling atv brand! Have you ever heard anyone complain about they're CF Moto atv??? No , a big fat NO. 😂 Make no mistake my friends, CF Moto is here to stay and they gonna play. From Australia 🦘

I'm honestly very excited about the products that CFmoto is bringing to the market especially supposedly they are coming out with a 675cc triple SuperSport and a 500cc inline four SuperSport. So basically they are bringing bikes to the market that most others are afraid of doing and that is respectable. Also cant argue with the price point their most bikes are.

How is this different than other manufacturers..? Not their fault people want to skip 50s, 80s, 250s... 300..400..600cc before a liter bike.
@AdeptusAmogus
@AdeptusAmogus 9 месяцев назад
@@jordanbabcock9349 because other manufacturers cost a good 10-20% more for bikes of the same level as CFMoto, and to get one for around the same price as a brand new CFM, you'd have to buy a used bike with atleast a few thousand miles on it or a few years old, and those tend to have less features like LEDs, ABS, slipper clutch, etc. Not to mention you're giving up on having a warranty if you buy used. Look at the comparisons between the 450SS and Ninja 400 since the Ninja is kinda the flagship entry level sport bike. Theres dozens of them on RU-vid. They pretty unanimously state that the 450SS is a better bike, at a similar price point, and the only downsides to it are the lack of aftermarket, and concerns over reliability because "cHiNa BiKe" which 100% stem from bias instead of actual fact, as CFMoto has been making bikes in the US for 2-3 years now, and has yet to have any major recalls or issues. The 450NK and the Z400 are both going to be $5399 next year, and you're getting so much more for the same price.

I bought a '22 700 CL-X "heritage" last year and have really enjoyed it. I've put 7200 miles on it and had zero issues. It is super comfortable. I did buy the tall seat which made it a little more comfortable on longer rides. If I had any gripe it would be the availability of aftermarket parts locally (US). I wish more dealers would stock parts so didn't need to order online.

Futur owner of a 800 NK Advanced in France here. I would like to give my 2cts (in euro of course) About the company. I dig a bit because like some of you guys buying a « new Chinese brand can be scary ». CF build motor part for EU and JP bikes since 90´s. Worked (maybe still) with Kawa for the ER6N line up. Just look at the 650 GT they have. Bicylinder for ~65hp with a rear spring to the right side, that ring a bell ? Yes ER6N and all other flavours (Vulcan S…) They also have a partnership with KTM since 2013. The re new 790 Duke is build and assembled by them. The 800 NK share the motor and part of the frame (geometry). Another prove of that is the IXIL slip on I bought that got on the certification paper « Build for KTM790/890 » « Compatible with 800 NK ». Waiting for the bike in my garage to see if I can use 790 part for the Rottweiler team or KN filter but I’m pretty confident here So yes there are Chinese but trusted by EU and JP manufacturers for the most important part in a bike for +30years. Special agreement with KTM recently. And it’s seems that the Chinese police use CFMoto for their Bike squad ;) Having a CFMoto shop near Bordeaux, France I’m pretty convinced to trust them. Also I have a 5years warranty 🎉 !

I have a CFmoto 650 MT, 2022 model. I had one water pump issue, fixed under warranty, and has a few gear box issues, ie false neutral sometimes, but so do a lot of other bikes (not my Honda though :) ), other than that, it goes like a beast, and has not let me down otherwise. One major issue in three plus years, and it was fixed straight away. The only other thing that let that me down, was the mounts for a top box rack, broke off due to some weakened welds, from the box bouncing up and down. The welds were not big enough. I re-welded the mounts, helicoiled them, and they have held ever since. The engine is rock solid, the frame is standing tough, and it is a great bike to ride. It does turn some heads. Got to love that KTM design. Overall, I do love it.

The CFMoto 650 line up will continue in Australia and New Zealand as they both meet our LAMS (leaner laws) for all new or returning riders for 3 years. As they sell well. Same story for the MT-07 as Yamaha have from day one made a sleeved down version with restricted power to be under 660 cc and 150kw/tonne max power.

Hi, from Europe! I own CFMOTO 650MT for 2y now. No problems whit bike whatsoever. This is my first one from getting licence. Time perspective - good choice. "Kawasaki" engine with power down to 62 KM. "Chinese" brands as Cfmoto, Kove, Benelli, Moto Morini have hard time here. However, with progress every year. I'd like to try here: Cfmoto 800 NK (95 HP here), Kove 400RR (4 cyl.), Kove 800X (ADV - 185kg only).

The closest cfmoto dealer is a sketchy used car lot, one of those buy here/pay here/use your ebt card places, just down the road from a strip club and a bunch of weed shops. I contacted them to ask which motorcycle models they have in stock (I specified motorcycle) They responded that they had 85+ units in stock and had every model...when I asked what color they had in a specific model ...they responded that they don't have any motorcycles, just atv's. Their dealer network needs some serious revamping before they become a viable option.

I'm more excited for the cf moto 675 triple
@guyh282
@guyh282 9 месяцев назад
18:50 here's an example: I got my 700cl-x on june 21st, as soon as I leave the dealership (5 min) I get a check engine light with a code that'd associated with the front speed sensor and the cruise control doesn't work. It's been 3 months and so far 4 visits to the service center (soon to be 5), each time for a whole day, and the problem still persists. Every time a small sensor needs to be ordered from china it takes 4-5 weeks to arrive and CF MOTO takes ages to respond to inqueries by the service center. When things started getting fishy I started digging up issues with the bike and find that the gear sensor will almost definitely break at some point in the near future, as well as other codes that cause the cruise control not to work, as well as fogging in the instruments, as well as the fuel sensor going bad...the engine works though...however, what happends when a more cruicial sensor decides to die? Would you feel comfortable having a bike that could stop working and for the dealer to take 3+ months to diagnose the issue because of such a bad support from the manufacturer that just sucks when it comes to electronics but insists on stuffing their bikes full of...electronics!!

Wonder if anybody ever checked the wheel speed sensor ring, it might've gotten a little dent on it somewhere during the transportation cycle. There might be your problem. Never quaranteed though.
@fdub301

Is this a true story, or did you make that up?
@guyh282
@guyh282 9 месяцев назад
@@fdub301 I truly wish I did. I generally like the bike, it looks nice, the engine sounds nice for a 180 crank and it's fairly torquy, the forks are adjustable... but this is my daily so I can't take the chance because other owners warned me about electronic faults that are just a matter of time....I'm just waiting for the issue to be fix or for the dealer to replace the bike or give me a refund...either way I'm gonna trade it in for a tracer 7 or a tiger 660 as soon as I get the chance and take the 6000$ hit on the deal (where I live taxes are a bitch and dealers suck the life out of you so bikes cost roughly 2x as they would in Europe or the US)
@guyh282
@guyh282 9 месяцев назад
@@getty6974 interesting, I'll raise it up with the service center, thanks.
@getty6974
@getty6974 9 месяцев назад
@@guyh282 Like i said not quaranteed but it is a possibility, and it will give an error code for the sensor as the sensor is getting irregular data from the ring. Edit: Also with cars worn wheel bearings can cause an ABS fault but havent come across this with motorcycles. Basically as the sensor in motorcycles is in the fork and sensor ring in wheel bad bearings could cause this aswell.

you left out the 300s and the 700s are they gone too? Cant wait to check out a 450nk in real life. Also glad to see other papio models. that will make the first one cheaper.

I wish they had the 450nk when I started... It looks so good and its not that much more expensive..I might trade up the 300nk for it. but then..a little more money and that CL-X is suuuper tempting. it looks so freaking cool.

I demoed an ibex . Was a nice bike I just didn’t care for the 790 engine ( you had to wring the shit out of it to get any juice ) , I ended up purchasing a Norden 901 . I do however own a CF Moto SxS a 950 Z Sport . I have owned it for 3 years now and haven’t had any issues . It has been leaps and bounds more reliable than the numerous Polaris quads and SxS I’ve owned in the past .
@SummitCoyote

that's been my experience too. our polaris side by sides are constantly broken but you can beat the crap out of a CFMoto zforce machine. ive not had the opportunity to test their quads but i have heard they are great

Motorcycling youtube is going the same way as bicycle youtube. They had this trend where everyone made videos about "is this 100$ carbon chinese bike just as good as a specialized!!!???" reviewed the stuff, rode it a few times, then they never ever follow up down the road. No long term reviews, nothing.

I equate quality to reliability and durability (not how shiny it looks in the sun or first impressions because both can be misleading). How many miles can it take before stuff starts to break, and what starts to break? BMWs(The cars) give great first impressions, but they are terrible in terms of reliability and durability.
