I’m i the only one who absolutely loves Cadillac styling as of late. ATS, CTS, CT6, XT5, the new XT6 and of course the Escalade are all great looking. Wish we got them in Europe and the UK in larger quantities.
mybro727 I have I check a lot of shit out get yourself a Mercedes gle 450 4 matic you will not regret it and never look back this info was free so your turn go and drive the GLE
Yes it's very good looking. everyone comparing it to the Lincoln aviator although the aviator has a better 26 speaker system that I'd love. I'd take this XT6 OVER that any day
You pulled the glovebox down noticeably hard but more importantly that cargo space next to the gear shift lever that you forced back is actually motorized.😬 Only advice I’d give is to slow down a bit and be a little more patient while reviewing these luxury vehicles. This is the first review I’ve seen of yours and I look forward to returning to watch the ones you have in store. Keep up the good work!
Its not on an old platform, this is a completely new platform and its not the Traverse platform, its the Acadia XT5 platform, there are two iterations on the platform. C1XX is the name of a global General Motors vehicle architecture designed to underpin midsize and full-size crossovers. Pronounced “Chi”, C1XX is the crossover variant of GM’s new midsize E2XX architecture. It replaces GM’s theta and Lambda. You think its not up to snuff? Drive one, its stiffer than some new German RWD offerings and can be tuned to incredible ride and handling characteristics. Drive the XT5, then say its sloppy... with a straight face.
im considering this but I was interested in it for the added cargo room and not essentially the 3rd row of seat's but I really cant tell if this adds much cargo room if any over our current xt5. the lack of latches in the 3rd row is also a huge concern because if we were to use them they would be for our 2 and 1 year olds
Luxury automobiles are basically prototypes paid for by the affluent to introduce new technology. Once development cost have been recovered, production can be affordable enough to implement into more common vehicles.
I really wish Lexus had made a really useable 3rd row. I have an Infiniti JX35. The only thing I don't like about it is the acceleration due to the CVT transmission. Waiting to see the Lincoln Aviator to determine if I will buy another Infiniti.
I’m 59 years old and I always have this argument with friends younger and older. I myself don’t drive SUV’s I don’t like them and this is the reasons why. 1. Their is nothing sport about them, can’t go off road, handles like crap, no performance. 2. It’s basically a station wagon elevated. 3. Don’t like sitting up high. 4. Limited design so always boxy. 5. To big , a waste of space and fossil fuel. 6. Ugly. 7. Waste of money not worth it New buy 2 years old save your save $30,000.00. 8. Most people don’t know how to drive them, are park them.
Not many 6-7 passenger ve bj ocles that hint at luxury are very good at handling. If they are suffer from a stiff ride because of taller CG. The compact SUVs with a ecu tune 2.0T or the 3.0T' can be a hoot. Plus our old bones make it easier to get in and out of with the taller height.
Yes, some like SUV's, some don't. The public seem to buy them! It's purely a matter of opinion, and we're lucky there is a choice, but some find small and compact SUV's give a comfy ride, and a more airy cabin than the hatchback they're derived from, and that some of them handle perfectly well... eg a European-spec SWB Tiguan SEL with DCC...?
Yeah I personally think you can get nearly everything most want in an SUV from a $25,000 Subaru Impreza AWD. Hatchbacks and wagons need to sell more in the US!
AN UNIMAGINATIVE NAME AND SO-SO STYLING. THE NEW TREND IS LITTLE VENTS AROUND HEADLIGHTS AND TAIL LIGHTS THAT TOYOTA SEEMS TO HAVE STARTED WITH THE CAMRY AND PRIUS IS MAKING THE ROUNDS. THE INTERIOR IS NICE ENOUGH. NICE TO SEE LIGHT COLORS INSTEAD OF DREARY BLACK.
If you take a look at our driving parts of the reviews, you see that we of course have clip-on microphones. However there are several good reasons to use the handheld microphone very often, we do that intentionally. See more details here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q8mbwezd_VY.html
KochADV both those comparisons are full of it, the front looks nothing like a Cherokee and the back has been Cadillac’s newer design for awhile, I do agree that the Escalade is nicer, but this doesn’t look like neither one of those
parabellum08 You’re smoking collard greens! Cadillac uses all authentic metals, real exotic woods, and premium/semi aniline leathers that are hand stitched and hand wrapped around instrument panels and other places all over the interior. So what “better materials” does your 2006 Audi A4 have in it?? Real 24 karat gold? LMDAO.
parabellum08 well apparently you’ve bought the same story from Audi on a 2006 entry level vehicle so what’s your point? The hypocrisy is unreal. Lol I’ve already experienced Audi interiors. There’s nothing new to me there. You said better materials. If it isn’t about genuine, handcrafted premium, luxurious materials then what is “better materials” about?
It's a upscale Traverse huh!! Its nice but the Lincoln Aviator is better because it's rear wheel drive 400hp it's more up there with BMW Mercedes far as performance the caddy needs more power to compete
Dude is asking about it's off-road capability hahaha! It's not really that kind of SUV my man. It's pretty nice looking though and seems like it will perform well.
This is nowhere near as good as the new Lincoln Aviator, BMW X5/7, and Mercedes GLE. There is nothing about this car that looks premium aside from the front end.
Abid Niaz the back end of the Mercedes is one of the ugliest suv back ends out there, the interior could use some work on this though, but the outside looks great
Plush Luxury seats??????? Come on Cadillac. All you have to do is make the Escala SUV For all models interior Not. Sport interior Wood grain steering ??????
Horrible. ...and this is coming from Cadillac's biggest fan. A big FWD bland-mobile. Styling is a snooze-fest and Cadillac's signature vertical lighting element on the front looks like a kit from Autozone for the first time here. They didn't even try. All of this plus GM's off the shelf 3.6L V6 found in EVERYTHING and a dash lifted straight from little brother XT5. GMC Acadia (which this is based off of) debuted back in 2014. What took this half ass attempt at a luxury crossover so long to get here if this is all they came up with? Lincoln, PLEASE Aviator me. I'll take the 450HP/600lb ft. Torque motor too.
Corey Nobles You’re implying this is a rebadged job of the 2014 GMC Acadia? Lol. Dude, *NO.* This shares NOTHING with the 2014 GMC Acadia except they both have a 3.6L V6. It barely even shares anything with the current 2017 GMC Acadia except for the new cooperate 3.6L engine and the chassis which actually derived from the 2017 Cadillac XT5 first. You sound just like the rest of these misinformed Lincoln Aviator customers. You may be a Cadillac fan but you’re ignorant to all the facts. You won’t find any 6 year old Acadia with this interior design, this exterior, producing this horsepower, this torque, with this transmission, or getting the improved MPG. Good luck! The interior is actually an update from the Cadillac XT4 which wasn’t even a vehicle until 2019 so what do you mean what took so long? We’re in January of 2019. Your comment doesn’t make any sense. Go right ahead and purchase the Lincoln Aviator Hybrid. I highly doubt you will once you see that sticker price for it. Lol
Lyndon Underwood design is objective...but as far as American quality and aesthetics being leagues below...you’re snorting cocaine! Not Cadillac. They’re one of few manufacturers who largely produce luxury vehicles and use the “cut and sewn” method on every interior that leaves the production floor. The build quality and overall fit and finish is definitely there with the European competition and even above that of some of the other luxury competitors overall.
@@mybro727 BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, and Mercedes are way ahead of any American models. Cadillac, and for that matter most American car makers are lucky their main competition is other American car makers. They've perpetuated mediocrity in their market. Not one American car maker can compete with the material or build quality the Germans are offering. There is a reason BMWs, Mercs, and Audi's are class leaders in different categories they are the benchmark most other manufacturers try to beat. Do you think BMW aims to beat Cadillac?
Lyndon Underwood LMDAO! Cadillac’s main competitors are NOT other American brands. Cadillac doesn’t even refer to American manufacturers as competitors, they’re moreso alliances if you ask me. They codevelop parts and collaborate. Cadillac competes directly with Audi, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Lexus. They rather take on the Europeans and foreign brands which they’ve been successfully doing for quite some time now. Yes, actually BMW aims to beat Cadillac especially here in the U.S. where Cadillac is kicking their asses in the crossover segment. You say the Germans are the class leaders of different categories 😂😂😭 leader in sales?? That’s not necessarily true for every category or segment. The Cadillac XT5 outsells the BMW X5 in it’s crossover category. The Cadillac CT6 also outsold the BMW 7-Series for the second year in a row last year (2018). Don’t even get me started on the performance side of the spectrum with the way the Cadillac CTS-V came out the gate and head both BMW and Mercedes-Benz wiping sweat off their heads trying to beat it around the Nurburgring track. You must be Patrick’s roommate living under that rock in bikini 👙 bottom.🍍
Dear Friends!!!!! This is a very important message. Anyone who buys a new car from GENERAL Motors the chance you threw your money into the trash is very large. In this company there is no customer service, the company's management does not care at all, if you have a problem or a malfunction, you can only pray to God there is a chance that the help will come faster. GM is a very dangerous company, be careful and keep your money safe.!!!👎👎👎👎👎😬👎😬👎👎
Norm T they already test drove the Cadillac XT6 _in their dreams._ It doesn’t drive as well or have as good a quality ride as the Lincoln Aviator that they’ve also been leasing _in their dreams_ for some time now. So they know by experience.😂 Lincoln fanboys are so overly excited about the Aviator they’re just saying all types of stupid shxt.
