The local Nissan dealer in Trinidad & Tobago has finally decided to launch this model. Amazingly it seems to be the only market where it is more expensive than the previous Sylphy. They have never answered my queries as to why...
Can the facelifted model address the following of current B17 shortcomings, 1) Lack of storage spaces. 2) Small center console storage and small armrest. 3) Lack of spilt folding rear seats. 4) For RHD markets, handbrake is at the wrong side. Why take away the previous foot parking brake design when it frees up so much space for storage? 5) Surprisingly noisy 1.8 engine when performing overtaking. Doesn't much the overall theme of what Sylphy meant to be as a comfort and refine car. 6) For any of your future engine 4 cylinder models, can the design for engine part maintenance (i.e. Sparkplugs and filters) access be made easier? I see that Nissan made it complex in the sense that the air intake manifold (1.6L engine) has to be removed to access the sparkplugs for a change. And the Air filter intake pipe has to be removed to allow the filter box to be open up to access the filter element. Come on, what is wrong here? Older generations are so much straight forward in accessing the mentioned parts. Thank you.
