Okay, this guy is not lying. I had an 2020 xtrail Tekna with all the bells and whistles, I thought nothing was gonna top that car esp with comfort, premium features and performance. Then I upgraded to a 2024 xtrail Tekna Epower EForce. Man, what a car. You have to own one or at least test drive it to experience my joy. I drove cars that were from the 70s 80s 90s and the 2000s, this new xtrail is effortless. I actually look forward to driving it everyday coz it just gives you a different driving experience. I can't imagine myself driving non hybrid cars again after owning this xtrail.

In Australia this is a brilliant option. Smooth, responsive, quiet, comfortable, well finished. Beautiful drive without the EV downsides of needing to plug in, weight of batteries in current technology that will date quickly, and it will be many years before the EV infrastructure becomes comprehensive. One pedal driving is fantastic. My brother gets his Ti in about 2 weeks... The boat is here. There are delays with quarantine clearance. The Ti E Force is best value and 19 inch wheels have a better ride.

I’m digging the review and I’m a buyer on the fence here. I’m in Japan, and at least in this market the Mitsubishi Outlander provides comparable stats and same or similar drive train so I’m told. Is the Outlander not available over there? At this point it would be really nice to see the comparison between the newest Xtrail and Outlander.
@petersherwin1802
@petersherwin1802 Год назад
Hello friend, there is a reason the Mitsubishi Outlander provides similar specs and performance: both vehicles are built on the Renault/Nissan/Mitsubishi CMF-C platform and they share many components, including some engines (in some markets), switchgear and more. The interiors and exterior styling are both different, and Nissan uses its own technology in its e-Power models. Most automotive journalists think the X-Trail is the better vehicle of the two, especially when taking into account the e-Power models and its unique design. Most everyone agrees that the X-Trail has a much nicer interior that only becomes more premium when you go up to the top of the line...in my country, the UK, the trim line at the top is called Tekna+...most markets have their own naming conventions. I myself have tested both vehicles and liked the X-Trail so much that I have ordered one, to be delivered in September. I hope this information is helpful to you.

Nissan's have historically been bad with road noise. I owned a Nissan from North America more than 20 years ago that was so loud on the motorway. It was disappointing to see that the 2023 X-Trail is still just as poorly insulated.

Hi - two questions please - 1) The model you have in the video, the grey one at 2:06 in the video, which/model spec is that? 2) Which spec out of visia, acenta premium, n connecta, tekna and tekna plus would you recommend please?
@ChorleyGroup
@ChorleyGroup Год назад
This vehicle is Tekna Plus e-Power e-4orce. If you want all the bells and whistles, then it's the one to go for, although the Visia model sneaks under the £500 car tax barrier.
@petersherwin1802
@petersherwin1802 Год назад
I would recommend the Tekna trim line. Starting at the N-Connecta line you get the all new 12.3" infotainment and nav system, and in Tekna trim it gives you a very nicely equipped vehicle that has (in the UK) a panoramic roof, synthetic leather seating & dash trim, Nissan's Pro-Pilot system which included things like adaptive cruise control, self parking, 360° parking camera etc., 3 zone climate control and more. The only real options are colour and an upgrade to a Bose stereo system.

I dont understand. I have a Nissan Qashqai 1.6 dCI 4x4 diesel (2015) and the averaged consumption in its 153000 km is 4.8 litres per 100 km. This Xtrail is at least 6 litres per 100 km . Moreover i also dont understand, this has an engine of only 1.5 litres and it costs 60000€?! I would never this xtrail. Higher consumption smaller engine bigger car which means more quantity in materials used for building so enviornmental friendly and better for reduction of climate changes is a farse.

Sergio, the 1,5 l engine is only used to charge the battery for the electric motor in a E-power ,or motors when it is a E4orce ( =4wd, like in the video) car. Thee is NO mechanical connection between engine and drivechain/axle. I advise you to take a testdrive in a New X-Trail, you'll love it. We've got 50 year old power stations that can nearly handle the grid now with only 6% of cars being electric on the road and look ar the costs of electricity. They are destroying the power stations for green gimmicks that the mp's and Lords are invested in. So imagine when it's 20 or more % electric cars on the road. The grid could not handle it and the price of electricity will go through the roof. That's why they are hell bent on fitting smart meters to switch supply on and off. Stay away from electric cars
@ChorleyGroup

You do realise that the e-Power system doesn't have a plug socket, and therefore none of what you said is relevant?
@nicholasr82
@nicholasr82 5 месяцев назад
@@ChorleyGroup Try to understand the context of where things are moving. It's very relevant
@ChorleyGroup
@ChorleyGroup 5 месяцев назад
The National Grid has already stated that it has no capacity issues due to the introduction of electric cars, as vast amounts of electricity are currently used in the refining of petrol and diesel, so this goes some way to offset the increased demand from charging. Also, smart meters are used to report the energy usage in 30 minute blocks, not to be used to interrupt the supply to a property. By financially incentivising customers to charge their vehicles in off-peak time periods (for example between 1am and 6am), the grid demand can be planned easier, compared to the peaks and troughs we've had previously.

Most people owning x-trails use them to take their 1 daughter to school and do an Asda run. The majority of people using this car aren’t using it as a utility vehicle at all. Most SUVs nowadays never leave the city. That ev hybrid stuff is only good for the city. The days of them making cars for folk like you and I who want more utility than flash are long gone, unless you look at a Pathfinder, Ranger etc

We were filming the vehicle walkaround segments with the vehicle switched on so that we could have the lights etc on. The engine wasn't necessarily running all that time (as it's a hybrid), but the climate control was switched on, and therefore the energy consumption was higher than if the car had been off during that time. Apologies for the poor turn of phrase - the vehicle wasn't sat idling.
