Billy should have been the Gold Ranger! Fans were not happy that Billy didn't get the powers. The writers never made up for that. The fans want to see him get the powers one day!
I always identified with Billy so much when the show was current. Seeing someone "geeky" be able to go through so much and triumph and have friends in the "cool kids club" gave me the strength to endure bullies, my own identity crisis, and the loss of a grandmother at a young age.
Incidentally the one that played Rita Repulsa and the one that played Kimberly in the movie from 2016/2017 both later went on to appear in the third Charlies angels movie with the actress that played Rita playing the female Bosley and the one that played Kimberly playing the new recruit.

Went to Dragon Con here in Atlanta and Austin St.John wad amazing. He wouldnt take my money because I am an Army veteran and we talked about his time in Kuwait ( he didnt disappear because he was an ass like people say rather he became a medic that worked with the military and deployed) David was there and rolled his eyes at me and i guess he expected me to bow down to a ranger or some shit and I walked away.
