At 30:3, where did the 0.9825 come from? Because you said that the answer from part a)i) was 90.82951062 and I got that answer as well, so I'm really confused 😵‍💫

It was a typo, he meant 90.8295..., the v value we had previously calculated

I'm not from England but I'm doing as level and these examples seem too easy, and its the same for most your A level videos, can you please do more challenging questions. Your videos got me an A for GCSE but since questions vary a lot in terms of difficulty on as level can you please do more difficult examples.(CIE exam btw)

bro just use past paper questions. And if you have a problem just go on youtube and search the same paper and question. Do this again and again until you master it

Hi Sir, Thank you so much for all these videos, they are very beneficial! I have a question about the modelling with the differentiation problem. At 31:09 I was confused about the 0.9825, where is it from (I substituted 90.8 and got a local minimum cost as well, however, didn't get the exact answer as yours- I got 0.004 - am kind of confused)?

30:42 you accidentally put 0.9825 it should be 90.8 as that’s the value of V

and 9825^3 = approx 750,000 so 3000/750000 = 3/750= 1/250 = 0.004 not 0.04. What have i done wrong? Still greater than 0!

The sketch is incorrect at 15 minutes in. It has an x^3 term, you have drawn a graph of x^2. The answer is still correct though, just that the gradient is positive in those regions, which it is not in the graph you have drawn. But thank you for the content, your explanations are really clear!

h gets smaller and smaller so the triangle used to estimate the gradient gets smaller. The estimate of the gradient gets better. As h gets as close to zero as you want it to. You can treat h as zero in the equation. The limit of h is zero.

formula for differentiation is x^n nx^n-1 so 5x^2, you times 2 and 5 then subtract one from the power , leaving 10x if that makes sense

Hi. You actually need very good indices skills for differentiation. Anyways, to answer your question, If u wanna shift x² to the top lets say it was 2/x² so that would become 2x^-2 right. Similarly, in this if u shift x² to top you would take away a power of -2. So, 1/2-2 = -3/2. Lemme know if it helps
