Chilko lake is an absolute gem, and for many reasons. It is remote, it is untouched, it is beautiful and pristine, and most of all there are no people. It is a difficult place to get to, so even during "peak season" there is a high possibility you wont even see one tourist. The water is crystal clear on the northern tip, rich blue in the middle and a beautiful milky turquoise at the inflow from the glaciers. Chilko is the largest high elevation fresh water lake in North America, and with that comes some pretty volatile weather patterns. I had planned to stay much longer to explore more of the lake and area, but after two days of trying to wait out the wind, and several more to come, I felt it wise to move on and find some beauty elsewhere.
Taseko lake is another beautiful location, but even harder to access, so it felt like the right location to attempt. The first attempt was to the east shore of the lake, but unfortunately this route is no longer open. The route to the west shore is the only other access, but has not been maintained in more than a decade. One thing that this channel offers me, is a schedule flexible enough to take the time to attempt these more difficult routes and locations, and I am so happy that I pushed for this one. It was a full day of chopping, cutting and 4x4ing but the view at the top was one that I can not even begin to describe. This new rig has offered me the chance to push for these amazing places, and I truly feel like I am earning them.
I am so excited to be exploring up in these remote mountains, and I am proud to be sharing it with all of you.

Dustin I must admit, I wasn’t 100 % sure about the build of this adventure camper. But as it was being built and following all of the processes it became more clear to me. What an ingenious idea you had for this adventure rig, and your level of working on the mechanical part of this rig was second to none. Great job Dustin, great job.

As a young and, fancy free man many tears ago I decided to backpack canada east to west. I enjoyed my trip but, nothing prepared me for BC. So taken was I that it was plain to see I was finally 'home'. Spent a few yrs treeplanting which gave me a very good grounding of natural BC. Still here, grey haired and, retired. This youngman is showing places no one else will, great job.

Having been there, and standing on a large rock overlooking Chilko lake in the warm sun, is an almost spiritual feeling.. you can see why the first nations people chose that place...it's breathtakingly beautiful , and the fact there are no humans, just makes it a magical place.. I suggest if you ever go there, take a lot of pictures like dustin suggests, because there is no way to describe it in words. pics help, but it is definitely the "feel" of the place you will remember most... thanks Dustin for giving the world a glimpse....!

Good morning from the south Okanagan, thanks for taking us along once more. We had family who went up into Chilko in the late '60's hunting and they'd describe it for us, but to see it is really something. Good to see you've got a shoo bear device along too sir, one never knows and it pays to pay attention to the details. The photography, especially the drone shots continue to improve - kudos. I grew up in Washington State. The beauty of North Central to NW Washington carries over in to British Columbia, where to me, there is a transition, and the two combine to form a combined beauty of the area. Then, the Province of British Columbia takes hold, and shows a beauty all its own. Thank you so much for sharing the beauty of British Columbia, and Canada as a whole. That cabin you found, with some work, might possibly be restored to something functional for some Summer or Wintertime usage.

Been waiting a while for this one. Was watching a movie and turned it off as soon as I got the notification. I am so happy for you (and me) because I get to see it. I enjoyed the build because that’s close to what I do but the exploring is even better because right now I can’t do it and enjoy every video. I spend too much time on RU-vid but your channel is seriously my favorite. I’ve never been to Canada but plan on it now after your videos. Beautiful country. You made my day. Thanks again. Hope the truck is doing great but either way it took you to an amazing place. I live in Kentucky, USA, I wish I was closer to ya and could do a vinyl wrap on the truck and camper. We would have to do something tough to take all the tree branch torcher but it would look good. They actually have a textured one like a spray bed liner texture that I just did a Jeep in. Might would work good. Keep up the great work and keep being yourself. You make the videos great. Your comedy and great attitude makes the wonderful locations even better. Anyone can make a video of traveling but not many people can do what you do bud. Wish you the best!!!
