I must admit, Hamond parking his car in a space far too small was highly amusing. Considering the team are limited as to what they can do for obvious reasons, nevertheless, I've found this latest special very entertaining and have lost count the number of times I've watched it over. Here's to a better new year for you all and power to the trios elbows.

I saw a bloke park that way in London in the early 60's, 'brilliant' I thought, and tried it myself. Unfortunately the small van in front of me had the handbrake firmly applied and it was in gear. There was a "bong" sound as the back of the van caved in... I beat a hasty retreat! LOL... 🤣🤣🤣

Indeed. Usually when someone says that it's sarcasm, but we actually see the crew running, and all shots of him driving it are from far away behind sturdy stone walls, or filmed by drone. They were actually scared.

People can destroy any car they want, so it's not criminal to destroy a car. It would be a criminal to destroy someone else's cars, but this 2CV isn't even owned by someone. Let other people destroy cars that are owned by nobody.

I am sorry for the cars though ... that Renault Scenic looked very nice, and the 1.9 dCi engine in it is one of the few best turbocharged diesel engines ever made.

@@automation7295 Well, maybe you see them, but it's just idiotic to destroy them. I mean, Top Gear used to put the trio in (usually) bad cars, beat up, with lots of problems and the approach was different, i.e. not crashing so often to destroy them.

I have NEVER - in having lived in France for many many years, seen ANYONE park like that - either in Paris or elsewhere. Coming from Italian stock, however, I HAVE seen that in Italy!! Oh - Yes - plenty of THAT in Italy!

Lived in France for 6 years in the 1990's. I've actually seen it done in Lyon... A Friend of mine who lived there told me nobody in his street used their handbrake, so the cars would roll when pushed, thus limiting the damage!

I have seen the new episode already. You said BEFORE this education in the wilds, that the french don't build SUVs. You forgot about the DS 7 Crossback and all its smaller versions. However. the episode was great, as always. So do more stuff like that and maybe more than 1 episode a year?
