check out LEVI (he shot some of the surf footage) / leftcoastvisuals thank you Chris for filming me surf / christophermartindale music by Narch - www.narchbeats.com/
Ahh man, sorry to hear about your grandma Casey... but remember, always take as much time as you need, your true fans aren't going anywhere. Take care.
Pete Luciu I know he has "fans" on there where all the do with their life is just watch RU-vid so they can't 5 days of no Casey videos. They have no respect for his time at all.
Man, this episode was powerful! From Casey’s perseverance with surfing, to his words on how important family is. This one got to me Casey! I appreciated it.
Heck yes. You can always come surf during the winter in our giant damn mall here in Edmonton haha...ha. Just checked out your channel and I'm digging your work Levi!
i lost my grandfather when i was young and i was so young that i didnt really know him but i remember being so sad for my mom and it being heartbreaking to see her in pain, i didnt realize other people felt that way i totally understand caseys feelings
Alex & Erika for most things where you're asked not to film it's so the experience can only be felt/seen while actually doing it. If casey filmed the journey on the boat and uploaded it then people wouldn't have to pay for the ferry because they've already seen his video. It doesn't make much sense but it's pretty common.
I have to say. I have been watching your vlogs for the last three years and I think this one is by far my favorite. I love how real and raw your emotions are about your family. Keep it up man. Love the vulnerability.
Classic Casey -- Ignoring people of authority. Person of authority - "Don't film on the boat" Casey - "Understood" Casey - "So here I am on the boat, filming" Uploads video to youtube - makes $20,000 in the blink of an eye.
Your vlogs are so honest & real. Love it. My condolences, it's hard to lose a grandmother, even if you know she had a long & good life. (Next week I am in New York, starting my cycling trip along the coast, to Miami & the Keys. My way of celebrating life!)
You're such a great person to watch each week....Thanks so much for the time you spend so I can live a bit vicariously through your spontaneous life. :)
Losing dear family members is always a rough one - take time for you and for those you love - we can deal. You inspire me with every video. Joie de vivre to the max, kiddo.
I’ve 13 GB stuff of my latest travel but was feeling so depressed that how to create a story and make RU-vid video. Your this video has motivated me a lot and has shown me several ways to combine clips and how to make movie. Thanks Casey.
Good video Casey. It was really sad to hear that you lost precious member of your family, sorry for your loss and R.I.P to your grandmother. I know how it feels to loose someone well everyone does...but I recently lost my grandpa and yeah I really was shocked and couldn't do a thing, that really isn't the time to record videos it's time to be with family and help each other out and thanks for amazing videos and lessons. Family is more important then anything no matter who you are. Peace.
story telling was phenomenal, some good lessons about perseverance with the surfing, and some reminders about life and how fragile it is. overall great video
Completely agree. The wait is completely worth it. Great video and please continue to take time off when needed Casey to spend some time with the family
Thank you for remaining so inspirational at such a tough time, I wish your mother, yourself and the rest of your family all the best, From a friend you have not met!
"No filming on the boat". As your self-appointed lawyer, I can tell you that your bona fide and best defence is that you were filming *off* the boat! lol.
Sending out warm thoughts to you, your mom, and the whole family. My grandmother - my last grandparent, too - died a few years ago, just after her 94th birthday. And I felt very similar to the way you did. I was thinking about my own loss, but also about my dad's. They had a total love/hate/love relationship. Deep and complicated and I think he's still messed up about it today, four years later. Anyway, thanks for keeping it real and sharing all of the things. Congrats on finally getting the river surfing down to a science there at the end.
I was sure about that. Which being said, I like your vlog-style. If you have any critique to improve mine, you are welcome on my channel. Looking forwards what you and Cody come up with, too
Condolences to you and your Mom on your loss of your grandmother. Let yourself feel the sorrow of her passing and channel that into your love for your Mom. And appreciate that your grandmother got to live a very full life and clearly she was loved. Hang in there buddy. Just like you conquered river surfing and every other challenge you've faced, you'll process this and turn the experience into something positive like you always do.
He's lucky the boat didn't sink. Cameras sink boats. Everyone knows that! There's new policies too: you have to sit up straight, fold your hands and join the military so they have someone to die in their wars that make them rich and make you dead. CAMERAS sink boats!
The Supreme Court has ruled that filming in public places (aside from certain areas where people can expect privacy like restrooms) is a first amendment constitutional right. The guy who said that to Casey could get in a lot of trouble if someone decided to sue him for a civil rights violation.
Casey! Boise looked like a lot of fun! Thanks for sharing all your adventures! Sorry to hear about your grandmother, but I appreciate that you took some time away to be with family! Lots of love to your mom and everyone!
I love your openness and genuineness Casey. I cried during this vlog twice first when you saw Francine and then when you broke the news about your grandmother passing. Happy sad tears. Life. Thanks for being you and showing us too. 🇬🇧🇬🇧☀️☀️💕💕
It hurts. Sorry Casey - the memories will help you get through this time - bet she was the most special person. You were lucky you had the time with her. Be there for your mom and just be present. A family's love is what gets you through.... [ Oh yeah - and you better come clean about the Tesla...]
Yeah Boise footage! So glad you got to visit this awesome state! Come back soon! Sorry to hear about your Grandma passing. Glad you got to spend some quality time with family!
Casey, I'm sorry for your loss. My grandparents were so important to me too. I do have an epic story of my grandfather's final adventure at 93, taking a trip to Vegas from home in Montana. Would love to share. Truly amazing. More importantly though, my condolences.
I started my New Year of 2017 with the passing of my Papa, and then 4 months later I lost my other grandpa, it was a very hard time for me, but especially so for my dad, he lost both fathers he had in less than 6 months. I understand how you feel about how sad you are for your mom. I felt that same way for my dad. Sending you and your family lots of love.
I’m so sorry about your grandma I understand being close with one but I just wanted to say u r the best channel on RU-vid and me and all of your fans love and support u!!
Casey, next time you're in Montreal, there are two great spots on the St-Lawrence river where people do this... I actually got some good drone footage of one of the guys doing it. I think our river looks a little rougher than that one though... [edit] one spot is at the Lachine Rapids. The other is off Parc de Dieppe.
Whoa, Sorry to hear, Casey! I've definitely been there, recently last year for me. Tough times but with dear friends and family near you, healing happen over time. Keep up with the amazing Vlogs. You're my hero.
With all the bs in the world I thank god for Casey and his Vlog thanks for letting me forget about all the weird shit going on in this world 10 mins at a time
my great grandmother just died too actually, and the funeral was out of state. the 10 hour drive home sucked, but also was a time to really soak in how lucky we are to experience the gift of life- from the raindrops on the windshield to the touch of a loved one. you're awesome, keep doing what you're doing
I lost my grandfather last year I never saw him too often because he lived in the us but we still had a good bond when we saw each other I felt the same as Casey I was so sad for my mom losing her dad I hate seeing my mom so upset , I had the a lot respect for my grandfather because if it wasn't for him none of are family would of got the opportunities that we have today him emigrating two the United Kingdom for that I have the utmost respect for him risking his life for his family. Sorry for your loss Casey lot's of love and blessings 💖💖🙏💖💖🇬🇧🇯🇲.
Apatheism You need to chill it's a simple missunderstanding, the fact that you took the time to write that as if any one cares that u unsubbed is far more pathetic that the comment made.
Another GREAT video, Casey! I truly aspire to be like you and do what I love as a living. I recently submitted a video application to be Steve Cook’s videographer and my dreams may finally come true!
I lost my grandparents within 6 months of each other. I was really close to them, they were always there for me when I was growing up. It was hard losing them, but I know they are in a better place.
So sorry to hear about your grandmother Casey. I am sorry for your mom too. Isn't that the weird thing about aging... the markers we don't think of, like losing the last living grandparent. I lost my grandmother and grandfather three weeks ago, they died 17 hours apart. As sad as it was, it was really beautiful. I had only heard of that happening, and kind of didn't believe it. Glad you're able to enjoy nantucket, I've lived here my whole life and moved home after college and it's always interesting to see an visitors perspective. It truly is a special place.
