Yes, when I was fighting her I quit the game and took a day off playing before going through it again. I understand why the game didn't give you a chance to stop the mess or offer her understanding (not that she would have even wanted it from Sunny at the time) but still... She was in pain, everyone was humiliating her, and I felt like absolute crap. Though the nail bat kinda ruins it, because wtf, it can cause some serious injuries.
After all the "Our goddess is Dead and You Killed Her" Talk (Because yes,I had the suspicion of sunny since he literally gave 0 shits about it) And hearing that Old West esque Theme I Just went along with it
Okay, little theory here. What if all of the main characters except for Mari were all reprensenting the 5 stages of grief ? Sunny would be Denial, as he denies what happened, to the point of denying reality itself. Aubrey would be Anger, as she lashes out against the world and uses rage as a way to mourn. Basil would be Bargaining, as he keeps begging for Sunny to come back to him, not entirely denying what happened but not accepting it completely either. Hero would be Depression, as he keeps smiling when people are around, but cries silently when left alone or faced with something that reminds him of Mari. And finally, Kel would be Acceptance, as he is the only one who managed to move on.
i feel that basil would be denial instead? being that he literally refuses to accept the fact that sunny was the one who did it and blaming it on "something"
@@princemak But he's also the one who keeps begging for Sunny to stay with him, and who wants to be with his friends again. He even uses his photo album to keep Kel and Sunny with him. He doesn't deny what happens, but he wants things to get back to normal anyway, as if nothing had ever happened. Sunny has completely erased what happened to Mari from his memory.
God Humphrey is horrifying once he reveals his intentions. He was the 2nd most nerve wracking boss in terms of theme... the first is "It means everything"
@@infant_annihiIator ok your fixed comment works a lot better, it is also really nerve wracking because he just koolaid mans into your party one shotting everyone
i love and hate him. he wasnt really a villain, but when i was fighting his stronger version or wtv i kept dying and when i actually finished the boss half of my snacks were gone lmfao
He was my favorite boss. I would've liked to see an ending where he meets Perfectheart after she becomes Imperfectheart and becomes an actual stable couple unlike Sweepheart.
Same. That part of the game was so sad because you can see how happy they were. All of them. Before the accident... (not incident. Know the difference between those words) After the fight, you're just left with the guilt of Omori and the sadness of the memories.
God just now kinda noticing that when it gets the the really glitched out part of omori’s battle theme, it sounds like someone is crying out or choking...god that’s disturbing... Edit: Holy hecc the replies to this. Y’all got some awesome theories and facts about this song! :D Smart cookies!🍪
Something else that I heard while listening to this. At 34:23 it sounds like a girl crying out, and it 34:27 it sounds like a boy yelling, as if they were lashing out at something or somebody, as well as crashing sounds while these sounds play. At @ you can clearly hear stop it and sobbing sounds afterwards
Is it just me or does Pluto’s face look like Hero’s real world expression when he was being terrified of the spider? Maybe Sunny sees Hero as a really strong guy
OK OK OK HEAR ME OUT (also spoilers run) so it’s pretty well known that black space is below headspace, with the abyss and black space beginning to blend together. however, i wanna talk about how thoroughly thought out that was. the closer we are to black space (or lower we are in headspace), the more mature/heavy the plot points become. in outworld camp you’re helping a space pirate through a breakup so they can go on adventures again in the hub/park area basil gets kidnapped which is slightly more heavy but still ends in a “it’s ok we’re all friends” and is still pretty goofy. pyrefly forest gets mildly unsettling at times, but that could be because daddy long legs is in it, therefore corrupting that area a bit. in sweethearts castle, the tone is still lighthearted but carries a bit more weight, and the idea of death is brought up several times in a much more permanent way. in deepwell all hell breaks loose, your friends signed their life away to jobs and are working themselves to death. even pluto becomes more threatening. humphrey is the lowest you can get (in the sunny route) and is genuinely fucking unsettling. slime girls threaten to murder you, humphrey is humphrey. i think it’s also important to note that every area that gets unsettling towards the top of headspace typically has a denizen of black space or sunnys personal hallucination buddy there, and it’s almost always extremely out of place.
Basil´s theme is a freaking nightmare;having that Omori´s actual heartbeat is shown, and that this is a life or death situation makes the fight more disturbing.
@@Extreme_Ultimate_Sfaccimm on the full sprite from this fight you can see basil holding his garden shears so i'm guessing that's what he used to stab sunny in the eye
Dunno where to talk about this, but I've kinda noticed this connection with Sunny and Humphrey. Humphrey can appear inside himself and you can see him acting out scenarios with himself. Kinda like how Sunny projects characters in his own mind, going on "adventures" with his friends. A bit of a stretch, I guess, but still
"The oldest is alive, but not the same as he once was. Age has removed his conscience and he has evolved into a parasite within himself. He lives here, just beyond this cavern."
Every single of Sweetheart's copies was a definite improvement seriously. We should stick Roboheart with Captain spaceboy (or just a robot to human dictionary), put Mutantheart with her relatives that complain how she never visits, & have Perfectheart rule over the sprout moles. The original can keep being humphrey's butler.
I mean, if perfectheart is perfect, I wonder if that means she's a better person than sweetheart? Maybe roboheart could be the castle ruler, because she's, well, a robot.
okay but the idea of space ex-boyfriend's theme being called "you were wrong. go back" and space ex-husband's "you cannot go back." was really great, and how in the 2nd theme you can hear some parts from the first theme
whenever It Means Everything comes on I have to remind myself how emotionally painful this scene is and how impactful it was on Aubrey, let alone everyone else
Whenever I listen to the ending song for Omori it feels like how I would think his soul sounds. The crying out in pain, alone, suffocatingly tight notes, vibrations echoing, static staring, trapped with nowhere to escape the feeling of these sounds as they pour in until you lose yourself, the pleasant chimes that come and go yet linger near by, then violent static trapped and alone waiting for you to give up. Spooky but, I wonder who else has a soul that sounds like this, N E I G H B O R
Ok...so in this game, we literally fight the father of all Sprout moles, an alien pirate simp, a troublesome manic anime girl living in a castle, massacre a whole lineage, smash a normal boy with his kite using knife, ball, spatula and stuffed toy, a rouge planet, earth(literally), a horrifying parasite that eat Sprout moles, a giant carnivore plant, download window, 3 angry scientist/sea witches living inside a whale and then the whale Oh, and defeat a shark to rescue your gang from being free employee forever as well as a Koolaid guy that murdered 3 children for the sake of marketing
Omori's ost is special. They often use classical instruments or something like that, like violin, piano, flute?, and harp and the unbread twins theme is wonderful, it's almost only these instruments. BUT when they have to use the exact opposite, synthesizer, IT'S A BANGER
For some confused, the harp? is probably the start of World end's valentine, and the flute probably in unbread twins, but if I'm wrong, please correct me
The trick with that is all the classical instruments are from computer programs, so the jump doesn’t sound as jarring. The harpsichord in Worlds’ End Valentine is I’m pretty sure from the Touhou soundfont

Sweet Paralysis is underrated, especially with the cool ‘hops from one ear to another’ thing it has... Another underrated theme is Flouring with you, it’s one of my top 5
I used to think teehee time was a bop after the laugh _That was until I heard chaos assembly_ *Now I don't even know what my favourite boss theme is* Edit: *They're all amazing help*
@@unstickycellotape2774 oh sorry my comment section is disabled so I wasn’t able to reply for awhile. Also I beat the game once on the sunny route and am now working on my hikimori route
Hearing the recital after OMORI hits different, oh and like an exploding truck Also, OMORI really shows how distorted muffled screams/words can be hell of terrifying.
i think i have an answer, basically most of the bosses and mini bosses in omori have some correlation to people or things seen in faraway town. eg: •space (ex)boyfriend can be found in the game store in faraway town •sweetheart is inspired by the lady who works in the candy section of the store •(not found in faraway town) the attack.omo boss is based off the beta version of omori where he uses _certain _*_websites_* to entertain himself in white space, on his computer and gets viruses from them being sketchy •the unbread twins can be found in the store in the bakery section the minibosses: •the bunnies that are found are supposed to represent aubrey’s bunny in faraway town when you visit her house •dialup is from sunny’s room •venus flytrap is just one of the plants basil grew i’m pretty sure? •i think the mixtapes are foreshadowing later in the game where you need to pick 1 tape out of 2 and it shows you clips of sunny or basil •potted plant i’m assuming is a plant basil grew i’m not sure who the slime girls would be in the real world because i didn’t explore it that much but they must be inspired by something in some way. i also don’t know about any of the bosses in the hikikomori route or any of the bosses past humphrey because i finished hangman after i beat humphrey. anyway hope this explained some things
Ok why does literally no one talk about how much of a banger spaceboys theme is. The lietmotief, the build up and the overall vibe is just so epic. Ive never vibed this much while fighting a boss honestly
I love Omari’s theme it’s the only time where the sound of screams has genuinely terrified me, the way screams were done in horror movies never got to me but hearing the moments before her death, then her screaming while she crashes down the stairs then what sounds like whimpering… perfection honestly.
Omori's theme is the only theme that makes me wanna cry, the vibe it gives me, remembering all I had to play, all the story I learned from it, with that theme, being the last one, it hits deep
going straight from bready steady go to your catastohpes is really jarring and i love it also acrophobia, arachnophobia, thalassophobia and something are not here
SUNNY got bored, so OMORI learned how to compose from nothing but trial and error and a few 8-bit tracks from a Tomogatchi. SUNNY and OMORI should really consider getting a job for a studio.
Does anyone else notice that Aubrey's boss fight (church) , the songs title is it means everything . As the church means everything to her after her dad/Mari died. anyone else get this? No? Ok..
I remember when OMOcat was a Mother 3 fanartist, and I cant help but think the final battle is a callback to Mother 3's final battle. They both have a lot in common. Hell, Omori weilds his knife the same way the Masked Man weilds his PSI sword before battle.
It was a mistake on my part, I left a few minibosses out on purpose because they shared themes with another (Ex: King Crawler and King Carnivore). For some reason I thought Ye Old Sprout and Kite Kid shared a theme, but I just checked and I was obviously wrong
World's End Valentine and Bready Steady Go are just... *chef's kiss*. Instant hits as soon as I heard them. Istg Sweetheart's battle was miaplaced in the game, bc both the theme and the fight itself stand out so much that imo it should be the last of dreamworld instead of Humphrey
Secrets of OMORI’s second theme lesgo 🤑: 33:52: “Sunny: MARI?! NO! 😭😭😭😭😭😭” 33:55: “Omori: END IT! 😡😡😡😡” 34:15: “Idk who it is: STOP! STOP IT! 😨😨😨” 34:22: “Mari: AAAAHH- *aggresive falling down the stairs sounds*”
