Say this prayer against Anxiety: Heavenly Father, Lately I’ve been so worried about things that are out of my control. Help me to trust that you are working every little detail of my life out and that I have nothing to fear or worry about. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

I watched this on 4/21/24, not knowing it was about anxiety. Wow did I need this. Great anxiety and panic attacks. My faith in God is strong.... praying that God will help me trust more, and turn it over to him.

Amen. Reasons for Anxiety: 1) Poor sense of self-worth - We are worth more than birds and and lilies of the field, God will supply our needs. 2) Attempt to change things they cannot change. - God has predetermined the length of our lives. Healthy decisions can improve productivity and quality of life but not length. 3) Failure to trust God. - Anxiety is unbelief in disguise. Anxiety is unbelief in God's character, integrity and promises. 4) Following the world's pattern. 5) Misplaced Priorities. - Seek first and submit your life to Jesus as the LORD of your life. Allow him to create godly character in your life. 6) Trying to live in tomorrow today. - Today has enough trouble of it's own. Tomorrow will be anxious for itself. When we seek the rule of Christ in our lives and desire to be conformed to His image, He supplies all that we need. God's name is I AM, not I WAS or I WILL BE. (My name is I AM by Helen Mallicoat)

Thank you for this message. I live in anxiety and I know I need to trust in the Lord with all my heart. I know he has the best plan for me. I also have depression in my life, and loneliness. It's hard for me because I come home to empty home. I don't have anyone to talk to so it's easy for me to sit and think about my anxiety or my loneliness or think about my depression. But instead of doing that I should be thinking of how awesome God is and how much he loves me. And how much he cares for me. So please Lord help me to change my heart please lift me up during these difficult times. Help me to find a wonderful Church to belong to and be surrounded by people who can lift me up and who I can lift up as well. I'll need to be a good Witness to other people and help me to be able to listen to other people's testimony. Thanks be to God

The Lord is abundantly supplying my needs. I'm concerned over an issue of my community that I've been interceding about. SOOOO true. Uncertainty breeds anxiety. It's like walking and suddenly a dense fog comes along, and now you can't see where each step is going to take you. Solid ground ? Or a curb that will throw you off balance. *Proverbs **12:25** Anxiety in the heart causes depression. A good word makes it glad* .

This is an amazing sermon! Still relevant in 2021, and I have listened to it more than once. As a person that struggles with severe anxiety, I am so thankful for this teaching. Praise the Lord for his perfect timing and providing this when the world needs it so much.

Everything Dr Stanley said about anxiety is true. And after listening to him I realize I was doing all the things he said cause anxiety. I had a nervous breakdown last year. And it was in large part about me worrying about the future. God bless Jesus's holy name!

I had some anxiety attacks. A gal at the the health food store said it’s like an epidemic. People had been flooding into the store looking for something that would help. She gave me a product and I’m sorry I can’t remember the name, had some kind of fungi in it, but it really helped. I hadn’t slept in weeks. After eliminating junk food and eating bone broth soup, doing a liver detox etc, I not only rid myself of these attacks for good but my health has improved continuously. At 60 I feel healthier and more energetic than I have in years. I’m not discrediting what the pastor said. I’m taking responsibility for my health and relying on our Lord for my physical, spiritual and emotional health by not being dependent on alcohol, drugs or comfort foods.

God loves us all. I hope everyone reading this has a blessed day and lets God take the wheel.... somethings are out of our control and we have to trust him yo help us get threw hard times.

I'm sorry, but it's not as easy as this. Anxiety is NOT always a choice - neither is depression. These are not always a sign of unbelief, doubt, or worldliness.. In fact, for some of us, our FAITH is what keeps us going every day. Anxiety is often a trauma response, and depression is a chemical imbalance.

I'm not impressed with the poem at the end of this sermon. GOD IS OMNIPOTENT, OMNIPRESENT, OMNISCIENT!! This poem that was read says GOD is saying HE isn't in your past or future..WRONG! If HE wasn't OMNIPRESENT the HOLY WORD wouldn't say that HE is. For it is ALL TRUTH, and Only TRUTH. This really bothers me that Dr. Stanley had this in his sermon.....direct contradiction of the WORD.

Were they the worst sinners in Jerusalem? 5 No, and I tell you again that unless you repent, you will perish, too.” Luke 13:1-5 NLT Many ask why God would allow diseases, disasters and tragedies -- even such a disease as the coronavirus which has infected thousands and thousands -- which cause many to die. As a sinful human being with a very limited understanding of the ways of God, I will not presume to speak on His behalf and try, as some have done, to explain God's reasonings for permitting such things to occur. I will, however, let God speak for Himself if any care to listen. Death itself is a part of the curse brought upon this world and all of us because of our sin and disobedience to God's commandments. After our first parents, Adam and Eve, sinned in the Garden of Eden, God told Adam, "In the sweat of your face you shall eat bread till you return to the ground, for out of it you were taken; for dust you are, and to dust you shall return" (Gen. 3:19). Moses, in Psalm 90:7-10, says, "For we have been consumed by Your anger, and by Your wrath we are terrified. You have set our iniquities before You, our secret sins in the light of Your countenance. For all our days have passed away in Your wrath; we finish our years like a sigh. The days of our lives are seventy years; and if by reason of strength they are eighty years, yet their boast is only labor and sorrow; for it is soon cut off, and we fly away." In Luke 13, Jesus was told of certain Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. Jesus asked, "Do you suppose that these Galileans were worse sinners than all other Galileans because they suffered such things? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all other men who dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish." Applying Jesus' words to those who have suffered or even died from disease or tragedy, were these people worse sinners than others, including us, who have, at least not yet, suffered such tragedy? Jesus said, "I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish." In 2 Peter 3, the Bible speaks of God's final judgment upon this earth, and we learn why it has not yet occurred. Verse 9 explains: "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance." The reason God allows this sin-filled world to go on a little longer despite the evil in it, and the reason God allows us to live on a little longer in this world in spite of our sinfulness, is because He does not desire our eternal condemnation but that we repent and look to Him for mercy and forgiveness in the crucified and risen Christ Jesus. And, think about it! Tragedy and disease could also strike right here at home. We cannot claim we are any less guilty of sin. We certainly deserve God's wrath and punishment for the millions of unborn we have killed and continue to kill, for disregarding the teaching of God's Word regarding marriage and God's creation of male and female, for failing to teach our children to know the Lord God of the Bible and to trust in Him, and for all our own individual disobedience and sin against His commandments. The only reason God has not already judged and condemned us is that He "is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance." Psalm 90 goes on to say, "So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom" (v. 12). So, perhaps -- no, most definitely -- we ought to use the remaining time God has given us in this world to consider what He has told us in the Bible, to repent of the sin and evil in our lives and to seek the forgiveness God offers and promises to us through faith in the holy life and the innocent suffering and death of His Son! O merciful God, forgive my disobedience and sin for the sake of Christ Jesus and His atoning sacrifice on the cross for the sins of all and teach me to walk in Your ways and live for You in accord with Your holy Word. Amen.

Doctor Charles, you live forever in my heart. Everytime I listen to one of your sermons it refocus’ my insanity toward God! If you're catholic then follow jesus and not an old religious institution God doesn't need an old religious institution, just follow the shepherd jesus and the bible.

This is my 10th time listening to part 1&2 I want it to get deep into my spirit so that I can finally get it! No. Ore worrying for me. This will probably take 20 yrs of old age from off my face as I go through out life! Anxiety free takes away 20 years of worrying and stress from off your face and body. So when you get old people will say you look good for your age. What do you do for skin care? You can say… I give all my worry and fear to God.
