I’m gonna call it BLUSHING BEIGE! Jamie I just want to thank you so much for all you do. Your balayage techniques have seriously upped my game at work. Going from just an assistant to full on taking clients that ASK for me! I owe it all to you. Thank you so much again and Keep the videos coming. ❤️❤️❤️
Hi Jamie! I’m a licensed Cosmetologist and fairly new to color and foiling! I’m loving all your videos, you are a great teacher and I’m learning so much from you. You’re very knowledgeable. Thank you so much for creating this channel 💜
I love that you stay true to problem solving and not blurr over for the camera.( re Toning for the ashiness)- I love your videos! I always get something out of them that I can take back to my chair. Your rock girl! Thanks😉
Love how u dive right in there and mix up lots shades e q to get ur perfect desired results! I do that a lot corrections and it’s a relief to see u doing the same!!! Love all ur videos ur so organized ❤️
You’re amazing, I never got taught balayage at hair school so I love that I can jump on YT and learn from other hair dressers Like you :) You are such a good hair dresser 👍 Thank you for your amazing videos 💜
I’m going to call It Rose Blush Sand. Stunning colour, very subtle. Beautiful shine & dimension whichever way she turns her head & In diffident lighting you’re really going to see all the tones.
This turned out beautiful! The multidimension and the way you made her roots look, its perfect! Have to agree on the name color someone mentioned Blushing Beige.
my boyfriends mom wants me to do her hair similar to this and your clients before looks almost exactly like hers, this video has given me confidence since this will be my first complex hair color before i go to school for it
So beautiful! I love your technique so much! You put so much time and detail into everything you do! I tried your foilayage technique and my client loved it! 😘
Love Your Work!! I'm not a stylist, I wanted to be one long ago...to old now....I'm just fascinated with the new ways to apply color and the special effects.....so many more options!!! Your client looks Beautiful. I agree with Wayne below me...Rose Blush Sand...Gorgeous!!!!
Florida_grl_43 Beach I agree! I am a radiological technologist, currently. My alter ego is a hair dresser! I told my husband that when I retire I am going to cosmetology school, just for hair and just do hair for family and friends. 👍
Could you do a video on just filling the hair. Like when doing lowlights what to add to the formula for the missing pigments but still getting the ashy or warm results. Hope that makes sense. I love your videos. I'm learning so much. I graduate in a few months 🙂
I LOVE THIS LOOK. literally just found you and can’t freaking stop watching you. I make my husband sit and watch with me lmao! I’m sure you have a video specifically on your backwards foiling but if not I’d love if you maybe in the future could do an in depth video on that technique. I have trouble with highlights in general... for some reason they are a challenge for me and I’m thinking if I learn your technique it could help me a bunch! Thanks so much!! Love your videos girl!!
I love the soft results! Very pretty! I enjoyed seeing the root shadow technique. Would so love seeing when she returns to see how it lived between visits. How long ago was her last visit? 6 months? Love seeing your tutorials!!! Informative, fun and inspiring to try something new! Thank you!!!
Look up the hair color wheel. It will help you while watching Jamie Dana's videos,.It will tell you what tones cancel each other out. Big help for referencing back to.
To understand toning. You MUST understand color theory. It has nothing to do with any color line. Learn what colors mixed together make what color. You also need to know what colors cancel each other. And knowing the appropriate level to tone at.
Okay, I need me a wow comb that’s on my list now😏😍 because I’m so tired of having to pay way too much added time and attention to the lines that may come up with regular combs. So annoying!! This was beautiful!!! Loved the cut too!
Great videos! Thank you very much. I think I'll call this color, blond blush 💅 I've been doing backwards foiling for 30 years. I think it works so well, but I also mix it up. Each head seems to dictate the direction. Thanks so much for including your formulas 💞
I use to foil the way I learned and over time I gradually started to foil backwards because it felt easier and more natural to me. You're not alone lol!
About 10 years ago, I started cosmetology school. I absolutely adored every second of it. Doing hair had been a passion of mine since I was a small child. My mom had me start cutting her hair when I was about 10. I started dying my own hair when I was about 13. I know, cosmos don't like when their clients do their own hair, but I was young and naive. It was all I wanted to do. 8 months into cosmetology school, I had to drop out. I have M.S. and it got to the point I started dropping clippers or shears on the Manny or clients. My hand tremors got to the point I couldn't do anything with precision. I started having days where I couldn't walk or stand up. My back was on fire moat of the time. I was crushed. It was the hardest decision I have ever made. But I had to do what was best for me. I still do hair when I feel up to it, on my family and closest friends. They know how much it means to me. Your videos help me continue learning, and keep me doing my dream even if only very small scale. It also keeps my ffriends and family from using box dye 😂😂 My daughter wants a baby light situation with a "smudge root" as she called it. This looks perfect. Thank you for all of you amazing videos. #addicted
Wooooow!! Your works are amazing!!! It's very beautiful that I can see your technics about hair color and lightner!! It's very fabulous job!! I'm sorry, I can't speak and write english very well, I hope that you can read what I have write!!! Great work!!!!!!
It did turn out a bit darker than what I think of a dimensional blonde, but still the results are beautiful and so seamless, I love it! Great technique too!👌🏼
I love Balyage.. I left underneath dark and requested him to leave a little bit of root and although my color has grown out.. there are no harsh lines and it looks stylish
I think you should call it Dusty Rose velvet glow! I see a soft medium blonde, cascading into a lighter rose glow blonde, with a medium brown root... so if you put that description in a blender and mix it up, I think it would spit out: Dusty Rose velvet glow. But I like the last person’s color name as well... and yes, watching you is ALWAYS a pleasure! Thank you for not being afraid to share your formulas, techniques, and etc. Oh, and for the record.. I’ve always foiled backwards too. For me it just makes sense! ❤️👍
Thanks so much! Here a link to my amazon store and it's under My Favorite Stuff to use in the Salon: www.jamiedana.com/amazon p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 12.0px Helvetica}
Love this and it looks gorgeous but damn girl I’m tryna do this from home during the pandemic 😝 😭 I guess it ain’t happening for me. Love the end result tho. My hairs also fine, so this is the technique my hair dresser uses. Damn I miss her rn
So beautiful. I love your foiling technique. I love her color. And I love how you show a real day in the salon. Sometimes the toner you choose doesn’t work out and you have to improvise. Love it so much. By the way.... where do I get that wow comb you were using? I need it.
