All this time thinking I need a linear inside my shirt….I wasted plenty of ram paper 🤦🏽‍♀️ but it did keep my shirts flat and help smooth armpit areas

Hello there! Thank you for sharing your work and more importantly, your process, experience, and advice with us. I am just trying my hand at all over t-shirts and I must say it was a relief to know that even super experienced printers have difficulty with the sizing sometimes. I have been stuck in the sizing stage for a while now. I’m desperate to learn a method that is more sure so that paper, ink, and time isn’t wasted repeatedly. Here are a few questions I wld be super grateful if you wld address… Thanks in advance! Please forbear my wordiness. I am a detailed talker and am trying to be clear in expressing my thoughts behind my questions. 1. What design program are you using? I’m using Affinity Designer and know just enough to do some decent designs, but I’m sure I’m very unaware of many features. 2. The first all over tutorial that I watched went through putting butcher paper inside the body of the t-shirt, arms, and collar of shirt to prevent bleed through to the other side. I’ve watched yours and one other person’s all over video that didn’t do that. Surprisingly, there was no bleed through. Wld u say it’s safe to eliminate that step? Cuz this step takes forever. 2.At what point Wld you recommend ppl invest in the larger equipment (ex, heat presses and printers). I am really just in the beginning stages, but already see the need to get a large format heat press and printer. I don’t really have a lot of business yet, but want to be ready when it comes. I wld never be able to produce a multiple all over t-shirt order in time with my 15x15 heat press (all the tiling, taping, etc.). I want to be ready for gradation season, so larger format equipment is really calling my name.

No, you don't need to put anything inside of the shirt when doing sublimation printing. I think the people on here that teach people to use a liner do so because they are inexperienced. When I first started I used a liner because I saw that other people used one and I never had anything to go through the shirt and get on the liner so I stopped using the liner because it's a waste of time and paper. Hey I’m a newbie getting ready to get into sublimation on a small scale loving the all over shirt you did. I was wondering would it be easier to cut the print down to the size of the shirt to match it up better get rid of the excess paper just a suggestion like I said I’m new I’m just now getting ready to start doing this. Hi Lisa! Thanks! I feel like doing that for every shirt would just take up a lot of time and make it take longer to print the shirts. In this video I was only printing 1 shirt front and back so you don't really think about how long it takes. I did a live video yesterday printing the same design and that will give you more of an idea of how long it actually takes. I have printed orders of 12+ shirts and it takes some time to get that many done so cutting out that many would be very time consuming. Hope this helps. Thank you for watching!

How do you measure your tshirts for all over

I don't really measure the shirts when I do all over printing I use templates for the different size shirts to make sure the prints are the correct size. When I was looking to purchase my Large Format heat press I measured a 6X shirt and looked for one that could fit that one since that's the biggest size I have ever printed but the one I got does not cover the full 6X so I would have to do 2 presses to get the one of the sleeves. To measure I just measured the width and length of the shirt as it lay flat. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

It wouldn't take weeks. The most I have had to do for 1 order is 12. The quicker way to do it would be to have multiple employees and multiple presses/printers. This is a specialty print not offered by everybody.

@@TshirtChick Correct! They are custom. I just had an inquiry for 20 shirts. I would have had to outsource the prints to make it happen. Currently don't have a large printer or press but definitely are my goals! They on the way!
