Some of the pictures in the game were as small as 64x64 pixels! Lots of interesting stuff! Pictures related to other chapters might be 'mislabeled' but that's how the game organizes them.
Agreed! It looks so casual it's weird. Also the Bullies seem so relaxed (they're raising their hands up? like they're having fun) but during the actual game during the classroom sequence they seem so scared of her
I think it's because when we play any Little Nightmares games, we're used to seeing all these messed up/weird things. We really don't see anything "normal". So when we see something that looks normal, like the class photo, it gives off an unsettling feeling as if it shouldn't belong.
Am I the only one who actually finds the photographs scarier than the actual game? Everything (the Teacher especially) looks more mangled and imperfect, and the thought that they're photographs instead of paintings or a video game make them feel more viscerally real to me. (Seriously, 1:30 is downright disturbing and I love it!)
Well, that actually makes sense since 2D to 3D modeling can be hard and most of the times the 3D model still looks different compared to the original concept. Even more if we're talking about LN models with all the wrinkles and that kind of details, they still look great, but exaggerating is way easier in 2D
They chose the resolution of the pics based on how big they would be in game, to be as optimal as possible. That picture probably got most of its imperfections from the AI upscaling. Nikko said "some of these pictures were as small as 64x64 pixels" so that was probably one of the smaller ones.
The painting at 0:40 is the barber. He was a cut character that if you look closely, resembles the chubby kid with the Lolly pop from the school in the little nightmares comics.
This is one of the reasons I don't put much stock in "lore". It's nearly impossible to tell set dressing apart from actual story in these cases. Not trying to be a Debbie Downer, it's fun to let imagination fill in the gaps when the story is left vague and incomplete. But remember it's a videogame, and sometimes a prop is just a prop.
4:48 what’s interesting is the bottom two pictures here are in the Lady’s room in Little Nightmares 1, no one was ever really 100% sure whether they were of Six but considering they’re with pictures of her in the Signal Tower, it seems to confirm it. I wonder why the Lady has pictures of Six?
Those 2 girl are not six Six has straight bob hair cut with bangs almost covering her face. This girl is different. Actually, there's a chapter in LN 2 where mono gonna meet her and the ghost kid but it's scrapped. Probably for DLC
Personally I think the whole unreversed is a literal nightmare realm so the reason we see pictures of six in the maw is because that is the nightmare she belongs in but mono has much more stereotypical nightmares such as a dark hospital, the woods at night or school,
@@ya-pizza-wachu-want Maybe they relive their nightmare which represents a negative aspect of reality that they're trying to wake us up to. In Mono's case it's alienation/control, in Six's case it's greed/hunger.
If we get a dlc, I think there should be an enemy called The Painter. Just imagine they use the blood of their victims to make paint. Or a dark level with a photographer who can only see you with the flash of their camera. If you get flashed too many times, it’ll have similar effects as the eye in Little Nightmares 1 where it slowly petrifies children until they die.
Is it possible that the Lolipop Boy is a younger version of the barber and this is a transition image between the two? Like Mono and the Thin Man? Just a thought.
@@muncheys6253 my theory is i think the Lollipop boy died Because he got caught by teacher in the locker or The signal tower warped Him too? Because the signal tower is pretty near at the pale city and the school
I always get sad when some of the gameplay channels point out the pictures in the background because I can't see the subjects in them that well, so, thanks! Greatly appreciate this!
4:48 Considering the fact that this game has been confirmed as a prequel, looking at some of these paintings are suddenly more interesting. The one on the far right looks like Shadow Six, who doesn't really exist yet (unless glitched six counts), and you can see Six eating what looks like a Nome at the top left. The Signal Tower must either be able to predict the future or is aware of the theorised time loop. Also, the bottom two paintings are also seen in the Lady's Quarters in LN1. People in the comments have corrected my original mistake and it's almost definitely the girl in the yellow raincoat from Very Little Nightmares. Another edit: lmao I started a debate in the comments
They aren’t paintings of six, they must be paintings of the raincoat girl that we played as in VLN. I’m assuming the raincoat girl is the lady’s daughter, or something. It’s not six since six has short hair while this child seems to have long hair. The signal tower might be able to tell the past, too. So the raincoat girl is one of six’s memories.
I herd it was a idea for the gameplay but it never got used for the actual game maybe try looking up little nightmares 2 forgotten facts or something it might help
I think it's part of the artbook, there were parts of the game that were deleted because they wanted to keep the T rating (i think that's the name, correct me if im wrong). As far as i know, the pig was supposed to be a part of LN2
0:01 a scrapped teacher 0:13 the metrognome's feet 0:17 secret 0:20 blonde bully 0:32 hunter(yes that's the hunter, because back then the doctor was like in the artbook, you can even see it is the hunter by the clothes, and they later changed the doctor's face to the hunter's) 0:40 fat kid from the comics 3:20: scrapped alive patient enemy 3:27 wilderness boy alive in the hospital( fun fact: the stuffed boy from the wilderness was alive once, he is missing and there are newspapers about him and posters of missing, and that's him) 5:18 willderness creepy guy is the actual hunter now school man sofa: the principle(yes, it is the principle)
@@FV0RT3X The first looks like a boy for being an old concept of the Teacher. And it's cool you took into account my assumptions about the stuffing boy and the little boy sitting on the chair.
It’s truly incredible how much the devs have told us about this world without a single word ever being uttered throughout these games, and at the same time how they have actually told us nothing.
I feel like the painting at 0:25 could probably be the hunter? on his model he looks stuffed (stitched arm together with a bit of stuffing coming out; as well as even on his body there are some stitchings and stuffing) and so maybe what’s under the mask is what we see in this painting here. he’s like a stuffed doll.
i nearly thot it was the bellman? i think that’s what his name was? but now that i think abt it it rlly does look like the hunter. hehe what is the hunter and the bellman are the same
Very interesting and cool to see. They don’t really say much about the lore but definitely a neat peek behind the curtain at the the development of the second game. I especially like the guy at 0:18 because he kinda just looks like an old guy lol. Not really a monster.
It’s fascinating how many of these are just closeups of the concept art. I never would have noticed until this video, but almost half of them are just various concept images from the first and second games
You may already know the theory about the girl with the bangs from the comics(the girl that digs a hole in the hospital with spoons) and that she might be the person that the doctor is keeping alive in his lab. I thought that this creature(at 3:22) is actually her behind the curtains, because she looks as if she hqs bangs... But at 5:22 you can see that same picture but below it, it says "Strange BOY". That confused me, so, i wonder if the person who uploaded wrote these or they are found from somewhere(the names).
For the most part players do not see these paintings as they are distant or blurred. But the brain sees everything, so ... thank you for all the future nightmares these create.
@@aisyahmulberry1064 I can't remember exactly but there is one fact. The child is mono. That has been confirmed by gameplay, theory's and a few questions a Dev has been asked and the concept art
What I notice is that the pictures of apartment block rooms are not run down and falling apart, these photos apear to have taken place before the signal tower appeared. ( 2:42 2:49 2:53 3:06 3:08 and 3:46)
4:48 - So there was a theory about the signal tower blending in the past, present and future and these pictures pretty much confirm that, right? It also confirms that the girl in yellow we see next to the Lady in the paintings throughout LN1 IS Six.... Interesting, interesting
3:21 Can you imagine this enemy being able to hide itself in the dark stalking you in maze like area.Every time it would change form.If you notice it in time you can go a different direction, that way it won't catch you. Then there would be a boss fight at the end.Where there would be this huge area where you would need to find multiple dummies before finding the real one during a time limit. I call it:The hider
There's a lot of paintings in the wilderness.. But the only place a painting could be is the hunters cabin, and its not that big, so they mustve really stuffed them all into one place
4:53 ok so this game is could still be a sequel considering when in the signal tower monster six is not only sitting on the suitcase she wakes up in but there’s also that painting of her eating the nome.
The time and the physic in general work different inside the Signal tower; it can alter and see anything from the past, present and the future of its guests and use stuff from any place in the time line to convince them to stay so the tower won't collapse just like it almost did in the ending of LN2.
2 things i saw weird was in the game there are bodys in the house in the wilderness and we see a painting of a bully. What if the hunter was trying to make a actual body of a bully and the bodys were failed projects of the body and that's why we see him ripping up meet? WHat if he painted the bully for a example?
The signs I deciphered 3 of them as below noted : Teeth=Dentist or smile Tv with person = watch Daily Signal tower= signal/ broadcast So, that’s 3 of the four signs with an most likely translation possible via, descriptive features depicted....
5:20 could the one with wilderness creepy guy under be the hunter before maybe having an incident making him wear the bag? Also the pictures that are black and white with the pictures of something’s creep me out
2:53 theres paintings of a Japanese styled room, the Japanese restaurant in the maw, the japeense style in the city and how the lady is. Geshia is enough proof that little nightmares takes place in Japan,
No it doesn’t the devs confirmed this years ago. It has I inspiration from Japan but it’s not Japan it takes place in its on universe also it couldn’t be Japan because, you can see Europe styled things in the games.
Yeah this comment made me sad If the signal tower didnt exist The pale city, school,Hospital, wilderness(Hunter's place (?) ) would be so much normal and the viewers might be A normal monster person Maybe
I probably didn't scroll far enough in comments so sorry if this has already been asked, but - would you be willing to post a folder with all of these? I don't want to lose any of the quality screenshotting the pictures straight from the video
