All Prime Ministers of Poland since 1989 / History of Poland 

Pursuant to the current Constitution of the Republic of Poland of April 2, 1997, the Prime Minister is a person appointed by the President of the Republic of Poland. According to the Polish Constitution, the Prime Minister is a person who heads the Council of Ministers and ensures the implementation of the policy of the Council of Ministers in the Polish political system. He is customarily called the Prime Minister. He is also the Chairman of the Council of Ministers and a separate supreme government administration body. The Prime Minister and the Council of Ministers take over their duties upon taking the oath before the President of the Republic of Poland, regardless of the vote of confidence granted to them by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland.
