According to the Ultimania, the Riku Replica fought in KHIII is a the one from COM time traveling to the present. Riku Replica with Riku is also the one COM, but he was in the darkness after his defeat by Riku. That's why Repliku says this guy is me. Young Xehanort takes COM Repliku to the future. His heart gets placed in a new Replica body. Present Repliku who was defeated by Riku, helps Riku out later in the Realm of Darkness. Present Repliku rips out time traveling Replica, and leaves the body behind to be used for Namine.

I love how Neo Riku has some redemption in this game by saving Naminé after being a misguided jerk in chain of memories, it felt like a good ending for this boi

Repliku deserved more. Well he showed how much he redeemed by saving Naminé and I don't want her to be trapped in Kari's heart/the final world forever but compared to Repliku... I think HE was the one who deserved the best.

It's really, really, REALLY weird how the game tries to make the player believe that this guy, Dark Riku as the journal and wiki call him, is the Riku-Ansem fusion that was fought in KH1. You got Goofy, Donald, Mickey, and even RIKU himself claiming it to be that guy, with even Dark Riku saying so... and then you kill him and it turns out 'actually, I am just Repliku from way back when he was evil and didn't have his memories scrambled by Namine'. Like, what the fuck? It makes sense for Dark Riku to say so, since he's evil and would be LYING, but Goofy making a big deal about it in San Fransokyo only for it to all be blown away in three sentences in the Keyblade Graveyard is... messy. Nothing even changes in the end much, he's still just an EVIL RIKU. Namine would have gotten a leftover Replica body no matter who got yoinked out of it. Probably could have worked and had more impact with the reveal if KH3 had a middle-ground like KH2 did with the 1,000 Heartless event in Radiant Garden instead of trying to cram several plot-threads in the last 3 and a half hours of the final world.

Why is his voice acting much better than the real Riku?

I wish Repliku would've said "Take care of her." when he's referring to Naminé to Riku. And yes, I ship Riku and Naminé as my third favorite ship of the series, but her and Repliku had such a meaningful impact

Anybody wish Riku’s theory about Dark Riku’s origin was actually correct

The Dark Riku in San Fransokyo, and the one at the Keyblade Graveyard might be two different people. Their tone, and demeanor are completely different. The one in San Fransokyo says he's the Riku possessed by Ansem but he appears closely associated with data, and Maleficent's comment implies she's not certain which Riku it is. Maleficent never met Repliku but she did encounter the Data-Riku in coded. Even in Dream Drop Distance we meet this enigmatic character moving around with the puppet Pinocchio, possibly attempting exactly what he later succeeds with Baymax. If that was the Dark Repliku, it's odd that he wouldn't speak to Riku then considering the assertive nature he had when facing him in KH3.

So wait....the Riku Replica we saw was the same one when Riku was possesed back in KH1, but then there is a different one from Chain of Memories when Vexen created another replica. Because of that there was two Riku Replica's. One that was the Dark Riku from KH1 and the other from Chain of Memories. That is so weird.

It should have been Sora and Kairi vs Repliku. Sora and Kairi defending their best friends name. And then after the battle Namine reaches out to Repliku through Kairi and has him remember his promise. Repliku remembering it, leaves his body behind for her to use in the future

I swear Sora is the dumbest protagonist I have ever seen. Donald and Goofy are the smart ones here
