KirbyKips I mean I straight out Bawled when I heard it and Niagara Falls spilled outta my eyes all afterwards during and after the fight and cutscene And I’m crying again on a school bus now
Thor and Roxas should really meet up one day. Thor: “You know, you remind me of when I fought Thanos for a second time.” Roxas: “Really? How?” Thor: “Well I had two weapons. A Hammer and a Axe.” Roxas: “Well I’m a duel Keyblade Wielder, not really like the others.” Thor: “Ah, we shall be friends. Say do you drink?”
If they were to ever include marvel in kingdom hearts it should be an Asgard world with Thor as your companion. And a Death Star world with Luke if they ever included Star Wars
This game really helped me see the difference in Roxas and Ven's voices. Roxas sounds older, calmer, and more intelligent. Even though he's technically 24 years younger than Ventus and originally came from Sora (who wasn't too bright at the time). God that kid is a fucking badass.
@@joerayofhopehh7227 I forgot about union x and now that think about it it would be 26 because if time actually made sense then Ven would be 26 by the time kh1 happened and Roxas was created not too long after KH1
Omar Portillo also took near 0 damage, that’s prolly the reason they waited till the end to bring back Roxas, nigga would have beaten all 13 of them by himself if they gave him the chance.
Considering that Roxas is wielding two extremely powerful Keyblades and can apparently teleport while Xion and Sora are only wielding one Keyblade each and CAN'T teleport, is it any surprise that Roxas completely owned everything?
It's like Nomura just give up on making Kairi relevant. I actually like her more in KH2 despite that she only joined near the end. Of course she only one among many awesome characters that Nomura create. So I can't be too hard on him.
after she spent literally the entire game training in the hyperbolic time chamber too - ah well, a useless character will remain a useless character at least we got roxas back
We all knew she and Axel were easily the weakest links of the team. I don't see how any of this was a tease. Like what the hell were they going to do against Xemnas?
Xion's breakdown kills me. Her whole existence was a lie, a loose fabrication of memories that belonged to someone else. Her friends and the memories they shared together were all she had, and the moment she truly felt some form of flawed, cathartic purpose by returning to Sora, they were robbed from her. So when Sora calls her by name, she completely breaks. It's at this moment that her feelings, wants, and existence are validated. She isn't just some puppet, she's Xion. Xion is allowed to feel that happiness that Sora, the person she gave up her life for, feels, too. Xion is allowed to live her life with Roxas and Axel, the only genuine connections she's ever made. Xion is allowed to truly live. For the first time, she acts of her own choice--not one prompted by somebody else around her for the sake of the greater good. Xion can live as herself with the people that she cares for more than anything in the world(s), the people that make her feel like she belongs, that she's valued. When she breaks down sobbing upon finally meeting Roxas and Axel again, it's the biggest release of emotion she's ever felt, and it hits me more than anything in these 20 years of stories.
Charlie Grace i cried when they finally all be able to get ice cream =( i dont feel much for BBS trio cuz im a fan of original games, did play new ones. But I liked roxas when i was like 5 in kh2 and also his death was devastating for me at that age
Xehanort: “Sora, you cant defeat us...” Sora: “Sure...” *_Loud Yelling from the distance_* Xehanort: “What in the world is that noise?” Sora: “Backup.” Roxas: *_”BRING ME XEHANORT!”_* Xehanort: *_”SHITSHITSHITSHITSHIT”_*
Roxas has to be OverPowered. He is the Nobody of both Sora and Ventus. He can use 2 fucking Keyblades! He is stronger than Sora. I wish he had more of a role in the final fight
@@sanicboom6443 Yeah but the point is Soras heart and Ventus heart were intertwined in Soras body. So when sora Sudokued. Ventus Took the appearence of Ventus and some of his power. If he was just soras nobody then he wouldn't be able to wield two keyblades.
The sea salt trio had more of an impact for me than the wayfinder trio did. Don't get me wrong, both were emotional af but this one? It hits hard. I'm glad everyone is reunited.
My first KH game was 358/2 days and it was safe to say that I was confused. However, my friends would always try and fill in some gaps. I never really understood much about Sora until I caught up playing the other games, so instead I just got REALLY attached to the characters in 358/2, and fell in love with Roxas, Axel, and Xion as a trio. Roxas was (and still is) my favorite character in Kingdom Hearts, and I always hoped and dreamed of the day that they would bring him back. Almost ten years later, here we are. I'm not crying! YOU'RE CRYING!
Orange Lapiz same here! I love days as a game, it made me absolutely love the characters in the organization. This reunion was the best part of the game for me
KH358/2 was my first game, I only remembered Roxas, Xion and Axel since I was a kid and seeing them together at the end of this video hugging made me smile ahhhhhh
I think people really forget about Saix here. Roxas returning is the best moment in this game but... you have to feel for the guy. I'm kinda impressed on how they managed to humanize the Org XIII members, in the end at least.
Yeah with the exception of young Xehanort and Terra-nort, I was really feeling if for all of the other Organization members. I didn't even want Ansem or Xemnas to go
I think they always did a good job humanizing them. I remember beating Saix in Kingdom Hearts II when he walks to the window and says, "Kingdom Hearts... where... is my heart?" While they've taken it a step further since then there was something terribly sad about denying someone their heart. Especially since recompletion wasnt a thing back in 2006.
I didn't like that, the whole franchise wad selling me this characters as EVIL GUYS WHO WANT TO DESTROY THE WORLD, and know they are actually nixe guys? I can't buy that
@@sasir2013 I get it, but most of the Organisations members have been manipulated by Xehanort. The original Organization, for example, were straight up lied to by Xemnas, being told that their goal was to obtain hearts, not seize the power of Kingdom Hearts or whatever Xemnas was trying to do in KHII. All of them were being used from the beginning. People like Larxene realized it, if a little too late: 'Be that geezers heart tank? No thanks.'
*Lea/Axel gets beaten* *Xion gets beaten* *The key of destiny Roxas entered the server* *Xemnas has left the server* I honestly cried teaming up with Roxas and Xion
well he is one of the strongest keyblade wielders probably stronger than aqua ventus and terra and maybe stronger than mickey but weaker than riku and sora
I like how Saix has a SECOND berserk state in this battle, compared to his fight in KH2. And it still isn't enough to stop Roxas from tearing him apart.
Well i mean base Roxas with 1 keyblade, severely weakened by Xion sapping almost all of his powers could overpower Saix in Days. Of course Full Power Roxas would just wipe the floor with him.
The "Xion" part of this dialogue was all Roxas for 2 seconds. One second, Sora is speaking and then we're hearing Roxas through him. I noticed that voice change in that moment 👍👍❤❤
among all "friendship Trinities" the bond Axel, Roxas, and Xion have is very, very complex 🤍❤️🖤because their bond is tied by an *evil X sigil purpose* and is essentially *not real* as nobodies, but once the master is destroyed, so is their bond, and yet their ties are now "fully realised".
Ngl, when Sora said her name, I started crying before she did. It immediatily hit me how massive that must be for her and sadly I don't think the animation and voice acting did justice to what must have gone through the character's head. She lived in a nightmare where nobody who mattered to her could possibly even remember her existence and only people who did were those who wanted to use and abuse her. And then the person she sacrificed her life for goes against that knowledge and does it anyway and tells you it's gonna be alright. Suddenly there's hope again, suddenly she is allowed to think she is real and that she matters. I don't think any human in this world can fully grasp how overwhelming that would feel
Obviously. Like. This passage literally got me so hard. Xion I was ok this is nice. Then Lea starts crying too and I just couldn't hold it. This game dude.
I *love* Roxas's voice, it is very warm and complex compared to Sora's. Wish this contrast was made clearer! there was no way I would've noticed without ppl pointing it out..
@@ManusiaKagakRusuh He's literally rigged with his boss attack animations from KH2. You literally have a boss as an ally for this fight. Of course he's gonna be powerful enough to make Saix look like a joke.
Vicky Gan Some people said that Roxas return was too rushed or too forced. But honestly, I don’t care. My love is back, and he kicked a lot of butts🥰🤩🥰🤩 Not like Ventus who gets K.O. after 3 minutes TWICE.😂
That's how bad*** he is, wielding the two best Keyblades in the whole franchise Double Keyblade bad***ery =Oathkeeper + Oblivion Roxas = Light and Dark
When Xion started crying at the end, I got choked up. That scene hit me the hardest. I guess I never realized how much I liked those three. It was so nice to see them together again
I know grown men who were bawling at this scene (and I admit, I was one of them). That trio, in my opinion, had the hardest arc in the story (with Aqua, Ven, and Terra coming in at a close second).
The seasalt trio all went through a lot of painful stuff when all they wanted was to be together as friends. Xion being told she was just a puppet and finding out that not only would she have to give up her existence but also the heavy burden that she wouldn't be remembered after going away. Roxas having to fight and destroy her and finding out the life he lived was a lie TWICE. And Axel who felt trapped between doing his job for the Organization and being honest with his friends, then outliving both of them and carrying on the burden of guilt, primarily for Roxas since he could only remember him but I think deep down his heart also hurt from losing Xion even if he was incapable of remembering her, thus why he teared up in the scene with Kairi. This scene after the Saix battle was when all those painful emotions came flooding back for each of them, having finally been reunited when for all they knew before this would have never been possible.
I'm not sure if anyone else noticed this, haven't seen anyone mention it, but when Sora says Xion's name, it's actually Roxas speaking through him. Absolutely broke me.
Similar to how Sora speaks through Roxas to Riku in 358/2 days. When Roxas beats Riku, A cutscene occurs where Riku says "c'mon Sora, I thought you were better than that" and Roxas/Sora responds with "Get real, look at which one of us is winning?" In Sora's voice, confirming to Riku that Roxas was Sora's nobody afterall, and that Diz was right.
My very 1st kingdom hearts game was 358/2 days. Literally the one of the worst game to start the franchise on but playing the others to catch up on what i missed than waiting all these years just to see 14:13 ..literally made me cry
358/2 was my first too! I remember crying at my DS when Xion died and Roxas was taken, leaving Axel all alone. Thier reunion hit me the hardest out of all of them
it was my first kh game i played myself cause i watched my dad play the first and second kingdom hearts but we had to get rid of the playstation 2 after it broke. Then i got kh 358/2 days and Roxas became my favourite character
According to the Ultimania, Saix tried to atone for what he did as soon as he joined he new Organization. The plan Vexen was talking to Demyx about was his idea.
@@thefaithtrio2106 No. It was Saix. He's the one who who went to retrieve Even/Vexen and they had the atoning idea. That was the scene in the Keyblade Graveyeard between the two. Vexen also writes in the reports this in the reports. "I arose today and decided to walk out to the square, my first outing in some time. Yet my stroll was interrupted when a surprising visitor appeared with an unexpected offer. Though younger than me, he'd risen to become Xemnas's right hand. I accepted his terms and became a Nobody once more-easier to gain access to the old Replica Program that way. Whatever it takes to atone." Saix was Xemnas' right hand man.
@@ImmaNort oh i see. Now that ithink about it, i found it odd if it is ansem idea because demyx reaction to the plan is well odd. I guess it's because it's not ansem but saix idea. Thanks for telling me!
honestly, I would've loved it if this part you get to play as Roxas instead of Sora, cause like geez I was waiting to see Roxas all through the game and when I finally get to see him, he's a damn party member AND HE HITS HARD! Like come on, he literally crashed in to save his friends, it'd be more impactful if we had gotten to play as him, I feel!
Honestly it would have been a really cool comeback as the last time we played as Roxas with two Keyblades he was fighting Axel, but now he’s protecting him.
They did it with our girl Aqua in the boss fight against Vanitas. They did it with our boy Riku against Aqua and Demon Tower. Why not for our long-waiting boy Roxas?
You know what would’ve made these endgame battles amazing? Unique Reaction commands, team attacks with everyone you help, and the ability to switch between keyblade wielders during the battles.
@@Cjslvdr among all "friendship Trinities" the bond Axel, Roxas, and Xion have is very, very complex 🤍❤️🖤because their bond is tied by an *evil X sigil purpose* and is essentially *not real* as nobodies, but once the master is destroyed, so is their bond, and yet their ties are now "fully realised".
TheGamersJoint may have had a bit of an exaggerated reaction to this scene, but it was absolutely the vibe I felt. "NOMURA WHAT ARE YA TRYING TO DO, KILL US?!!?"
My boy Roxas here being the most badass out of all Guardians of Light AND THEY. DONT. GIVE. HIM. ENOUGH SCREEN TIME. I AM LEGIT PISSED. Not only we're not able to use him in this battle, honestly his role gets super insignificant after this battle. With all of those early game talks about bringing him back, I expected he would have a key role with a badass entrance WHEN the heartless tornado thing came out and killed everyone. AND YET, HE ONLY APPEARED HERE, BEING BADASS DOING HUGE DAMAGE, AND DONE. LIKE, MAN, COME ON. GIVE MY BOY MORE JUSTICE SMH And also NO REACTION COMMAND LIKE KH2. Can we all imagine Sora doing command with Roxas. Duo combo, Sora borrowing Roxa's Oathkeeper, THEN BAM. What a missed opportunity. There's literally no reaction command in everyone in other battles as well :(
Exactly what I thought when watching the cutscene. I expected Roxas' return to be a really big deal, even more with all those previous mentionings troughout the game. I wanted it to be more epic, emotional and transcending, but it was pretty dull for me and I'm very sad about that. Also, when Ven and Roxas met, they just look at each other like that Spiderman meme and nothing else ??? come onnnnn ¬¬
Roxas didn't dislike Saïx. Notice how Roxas points his oblivion more at Saïx than at Xemnas? That's because Saïx/Isa made it possible for him to return in the first place. He is 'the chosen one' Vexen talked to Demyx about, who delivered a vessel for Roxas to return.
@@PandaKook xion was always a replica, a more advanced version that repliku. The organisation paired her with roxas so she'd absorb sora's most important memories, those of kairi and be able to wield the keyblade. They knew roxas was a liability. Naminé mentions that she could, given enough time, unravel the now individual, Xion from those memories of kairi but Diz doesn't allow it as they need Sora back ASAP. I They could have explored that I'm this game but instead she's just there. It's kinda unfortunate
@@matty9460 Well yeah but now she isnta memory she is a replica in a physical phrom now but before she was a puppet she isn't one angmore well- more or less
Roxas is hot. There I said it. Anyway, the amount of health bars Roxas takes from Saïx is wild, I'm dead, lmao. If he was going to do majority of the work, might as well just have let us play as him.
It really annoys me that Kairi is damsel'd again. Seriously, let the poor girl be badass already and not get yoinked by the villains. Maybe in 4 if she helps to bring back Sora? (Seriously, I really hope the Secret Ending clears some things up regarding his status.) Also, Xion and Roxas look sad for Saix as he fades. (I guess they either understood his motivations/pitied him or were more sad for Lea? I mean, they do later apparently forgive im, but I really hope we get more on that in KH4 or whatever else comes next.)
@@darkfiend76 Of course not. It's really more annoyance at Nomura sticking to this plot device despite hyping her up and making it seem like it would be avoided this time, than at her.
@@darkfiend76 they could have picked someone else to do this to. Literally anyone else. I mean Axel is weak in this scene, and somehow he still grabs Kairi. Her whole purpose in the narrative is to be Sora's damsel. Whenever anyone else is in danger it's "oh they can hold on till I help then out." But with Kairi it's "oh shit abandon everything else. She can't last without me." It's just frustrating. She's supposedly a princess of heart. A keyblade holder. Yet at every turn she ends up just being a pawn to make Sora behave in a certain way.
@@aerieleah533 Honestly, it makes sense to take Kairi. Not only is she one of the closest to Sora, she's also the weakest. Unlike Axel, Kairi has next to zero combat experience. And the characters don't put rescue on hold without reason. They delayed Aqua's rescue because they weren't ready to save her, they couldn't save Ven because nobody knew his location. And whenever Sora is in need of rescue, Riku will literally do whatever it takes to save him.
Funny enough when I got to that part I just stayed in the air and glided as the fight happened. Roxas ended up destroying Saix by himself and I just shot locked Saix for the win since party members couldn’t finish off Saix for that fight.
The music in this scene and battle was done *WONDERFULLY.* It made me super emotional, especially going into the fight with Siax with Roxas's theme playing.
Huh... son of a bitch I just realized none of these Keyblade Graveyard fights had unique reaction commands. Damn, that's a missed opportunity if I've ever seen one.
what do you mean? there are no reaction commands in the entire game lol they got rid of them for situation commands. wish reactions were still here. they had some of the coolest animations
@Cristian Ortiz yeah. i like the situation commands tho bc it makes magic even stronger so benefits both physical and magical. i just wish we had reaction commands instead of attractions. but to be honest, i only bought the game for the story, combat is always fun, but its never consistent. so went in with no expectations for combat lol
Honestly they could have done both for this game. There were contextual commands like piloting the Gigas in Toy Boxm riding the air trails in the Caribbean, etc. Disney companions had their special combo attacks with Sora. Roxas, Xion, Ventus, Riku, all should have had some special combo attack too.
Xion: Roxas Roxas: *stares back at Xion, thinks; hello my sweetheart* Xemnas: this is impossible, where did you get a vessel? Roxas: *looks at him, thinks, you're a dead man for touching my sweetheart*
I honestly dont know which trio to care about coming back more; the BBS or 358/2 days ones. I guess the latter since we spent more time with them but man, im torn.
The 358/2 days trio is what I really care about in this part of the game though Roxas returns like a boss and badmouths Xemnas 👍💙💙 Ventus, Aqua and Terra are back too 💖💖💙💙
Imo 365/2 days trio is a lot more sympathetic because they were nobodies. None of them were supposed to exist and Xion for one was supposed to be forgotten forever.
I would say the Sunset Trio was more satisfying than the Wayfinder Trio, for two main reasons. 1. We actually got to watch their friendship slowly form over the course of a game, and then watch it slowly fall apart due to circumstances completely beyond their control. As for TAV, well, to be frank, they liked to TELL us how close they were instead of SHOW us how close they were. Their bond wasn't as compelling. 2. The Wayfinder Trio had something the Sunset Trio didn't: HOPE. Despite losing everything by the end of BBS, there was always a strong possibility that they would be saved. After all, they were all still out there by the end of the game. Just in... less than ideal circumstances. On the other hand, the way 358/2 Days and KH2 played out really hammered home that there was no hope for these three. No matter how hard they fought, they were fated to be used, destroyed, or lose their individuality. They were doomed from the start, and for a while, we believed that there was nothing that could save them. Roxas was one with Sora, Axel was destroyed, and Xion basically committed suicide via Roxas, thus wiping out all memory of her existence. It would take a miracle to get them back. So it's a far greater payoff to see them, against all odds, get a chance to just hold each other again.
EyesackDeeazz yea... i then watched sm1 else’s play-through after beating game and it turns out roxas can solo both xemnas and saix without taking hits lol makes sora just that much more weaker.
EyesackDeeazz hes always been overpowered. Hes a literal boss in kh2 and even after beating him the cutscene shows him beating sora, only losing to the fact he forgot you cant take away ppl’s keyblades
9:30 When I heard that song crescendo before the fight, I almost began to cry. The song that plays during the fight is beautiful and epic. I felt that the Saix battle was more climatic than the actual final battle. It was so sad and awesome.
Why does KH III have does not more scene like this ? I mean a lot of scene could have been more emotional if they put right in time the musics of each character. I think about the scene or all the team get vanished by the heartless, there's not fukin music.. I mean come guys, KH has always been connected with his absolute magical OST, and sometimes, there's like nothing. Here, in this scene, when Roxas appears, he said his first sentence, then his theme hits, it was perfect ! So why did they not do more that often, and most precisely, all along the game ? All the epic scenes are condensed in the final part, that's sad, because all along the game, nothing really happens concerning the story, and you just wait the final part to come..
Zoster X I agree. Some moments in KH3 that should have been more emotional. This scene was perfect. Though there are other places where the music is used well, there are definitely some misses too.
Yeah Saix throws her a claymore and she goes ham with it tbh lol she had a lot of pent up anger to get out after spending a few years being nonexistent
Anyone else was looking forward to playing as Roxas again? We played as Riku and Aqua. So I thought it made sense here and was expecting it but no dice. It was nice to see him and Sora and not fighting each other though. I really wouldve like to play as all the Keyblade weilders really. Like at some point during the final fight, the mechanic of switching keyblades temporarily gets replaced with switching characters.
for all the time they had to put together an epic conclusion, they messed up a lot on this one but THIS, specifically when roxas shows up and YEETS on saix... be still my heart this was amazing
What it's like, literally: Axel (Lea): *getting threatened and attacked by Xemnas* Roxas: *Sleeps* Xion: *getting threatened and attacked by Xemnas* Roxas: DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH MY GIRLFRIEND!!!!!!!
He does. And he is. Let's not forget that Roxas was able to defeat Xion while still not at full power, defeated Riku in a one-on-one duel, took out Axel despite having only just remembered how to dual wield, and very nearly defeated Sora in their battle. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that Roxas is one of the most powerful characters in the series.
Tell me im not the only one who likes roxas more than sora? Dude holds keyblades of light and darkness. Out here dual weilding. Buddy was carrying the whole team on his shoulders 10:00
Me of course, in a "I've missed you all SO much" kind of way. How Roxas returns is the best part of the entire game for me. Seeing him reunite with Axel and Xion really got me
Loki: “I have an army.” Iron Man: “We have a Hulk.” Xemnas: “We have more darknesses to replenish our ranks.” Jack Sparrow: “I got a jar of dirt!” Chrom: “We have a god’s blessing.” Link: “I have a goddess’s weapon.” Yusei: “I have a god’s servant.” Palutena: “I have a god-killing angel.” Donald: “I have Zettaflare.” Sora: “I have the power of waking.” Saïx: “I have brief invincibility.” Roxas: “I have two keyblades.” Axel: “I have a sore hand... : ( “
