As a metal head and a bassist who also plays the acoustic but didn't actually pick up a guitar until the age of 16, this kid is beast and belongs on stage in a band.
Same, I've started playing bass with 16 as well, so for a year now. Now I play in my school band, but it's really outstanding what a machine this kid is with only 12.
John Sumera oooooh "I use words like malfunction and makes me think smarter than other people" lmao fine in that case, transition your body that is currently lateral in nature into a state more befitting to that of an actue angle. In other wors, get bent
+stevenator0281 it's a combination of the two, this kid would be a prodigy which is rare, many people have lesser levels of this type of talent but talent alone does not produce a great player, takes years of practice and study.
Sure they're relatively simple riffs but the fact that a 12 yr old even knows these songs automatically propels him to level 100 in the music industry.
Ikram Maududi When you was 12 it was 1972) i'm joking, but you understand, what i mean. It was another and different time, rock music was way WAY more popular even 10-15 years ago.
Now, I cannot understand a damn word, BUT!!!! This fuckin kid is a natural! I mean, my God, there are pro's out there, that can't even begin to do what he is doin, and doin it, like it is just second nature to him! I grew-up on Ozzy, Metallica, KISS, Led Zepplin, Godsmack, Pink Floyd, ZZ TOP and so many others, but, mostly hard rock/heavy metal, and this kid hit every note, that I remember was played by Zakk, in each of his attempts, and if you look close(I know, the video isn't the greatest, but still if you look hard, you can see it.), you can see, the kid like opened his eyes, I think it was 3 or 4 times, the rest, his head was movin, and his eyes were shut, and he KNEW right where to put his fingers, and he also did a bit more then the Zakk Wylde stuff, he actually did an old move, that the serious master player did, back in the 60's, Jimmy Hendrix, with switchin from bottom to top, with the hands, then back down, and all that! This kid has got some serious talent! Also, for those who wanna criticize me, for bein so damn surprised, that a 12yr old could hit those notes, as if he had been playin, for like, 30+ yrs, then let's see your ass do it, then I will think twice about payin attention to your pisspoor comments!
HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!!!!! If that where my child I would be so proud right then. Children with that much talent never cease to amaze me and it gives me hope for the next generation of metal
I'm a 52 yr old man that has just started playing guitar again after many years and seeing kids like this are an inspiration to me. But, it saddens me sooooo much to see the gutless comments and bad mouthing coming from some of the people on here. Whether what he is playing is basic or not isn't the point. The point is that this brave 12 yr old is playing parts of several different songs with a precision and passion that I never see in many adults! AND doing it in front of so many people! And I whole heartedly agree with Mr McCleod. Regardless of whether or not you have the right to say what you wish, how much common sense does it take to think about whether you should or not? This 12 yr old boy is far from "absolutely nothing"!
Thank you....You comments is so true...Children should be inspired and encouraged. They are our future...I am looking forward to hearing a variety of music.
fine, if he stuck with it, he could be another very fine guitar player...he's on track for his age, pull him out of this bullshit reality tv contest non-sense and put him in a band and put him to work
You have a doctorate in physics, I am afraid my Dad did too but did not ever add the Dr. to his name unless he was at work, what type of work do you do, I've worked in cold fusion but had to retire because of car accidents, now I guest lecture on the subject at a near by university.
+Jyme Bale well back in 1985 I sent my friend into the past. 1955 to be exact. then a few years later I took him with me to the future, then in the third one I went back to the old west and had to deal with Mad dog Tannon. then my friend came down with Parkinson's disease and could no longer travel time with me. What else do you want to know, fuckface?
Ozzy you old git you need to see this. Who does he remind you of? That effortless playing style? Zakk Wylde??? NO! NO! NO! This kid's style and personality is a reincarnation of Randy. It's uncanny how alike they are in playing style and attitude.
Stewart Pebworth I believe they use Bieber in hospitals to bring coma patients out and back to consciousness. He sings to them. And they wake up just to throttle him to make him stop his gawd awful noise
God blessed this kid with a talent!,, I am 57 yrs old have been playing guitar since I was 15, and I can't even play like that, kinda makes me wonder why I even started, I guess it was for my own entertainment.
Guitarists practice for years trying to achieve the level of talent this kid seems to come by naturally. It's amazing to watch a true prodigy in action. Dam great job!
This kid gave me straight up goosebumps ... Right on Rony ! So cool that there are kids pursuing other things besides their phones permanently in their faces ...
Omg! this kid gave me chills all over! lol..Wow! It takes PASSION to learn that, and it takes dedication..and it shows! Seems her Dad was the same, and that's what got this kid to where they are!
For those who say metal is dead, you must have forgotten to tell these young geniuses who now rock harder then the ones who made these songs. Watch out the next wave of metal is coming right at you.
Brawo Rony! Super talent, fantastic feeling of guitar, great technique. I wish more kids have such huge abilities and passion. And good choice of music
I've never been real big on metal, but this kid looks like he has it together & enjoys what he's laying down so good for him. I hope he goes far with it.
Tina S. From France, But both are classically trained since they were youngn's. There is so much talented to gifted to virtuosity musicians out there !!! No spliced together, bassed out, bump thumping, hippity hop BS for me ! ! ! Forever Rock and Roll & Blues & Metal & Classical to Chicken Picking . . . I remember bank years ago when EVH did not hear Roy Clark in guitar battle play offs. Listen to some of the old country and classical and jazz and blues cats. Fast & they were Tapping long before EVH , though he and others took the styles to a whole nother level like Toxin Abasi & Stanley Jordan. I use to watch Kiss playing most of their tunes with beginner open and 5th power chords and they like so many others leader and grew musically the longer they played and got further out into the masses . I have seen and heard so many people thrown away for what they were being required to play rather than what they actually could, even Jimi Hendrix ... Randy Rhoads was a classically trained guitarist !!! 😎 Peace & Play On . . . 🎸 😎 DDH 7-20-2019
Well done Ronny, you've discouraged a lot up and coming guitar players. You're an amazing guitarist and I wish you all the best in the future. Rock On Ronny!!!
It is nice to see young children are still interestred in playing guitar his timing is good, also keeping in mind he is 12 year old and will only get better, why so many negative comments? This is a child playing his guitar for you , what is there to dislike ?
All of you with the negative comments ,you don't recognize good music when you hear it . This boy is good ,keep rocking little buddy. He is a million times better than that dork Bieber ..
Robert Radcliff Not just good music but the fact that he's playing to that level at a young age. By the way, who's this Bieber person people keep mentioning? Bieber doesn't deserve to scratch his ass with one of this kids worn out guitar picks.
Eagle Eye well sometimes i think about playing in frotn of ppl but then i don't think i'm not good enough and that i will try it about an year later when i'm better ^^
Doktor Jekyll van Hyde don't play just for the heck of it, feel the music. If you do it for others you'll never be good enough, instead of playing a song to simply show that you can, do it to show something, a feeling, a state. It's all about emotion.
Mom and Dad, this is a very talented little rocker. Talk to this little boy about respecting women and not being arrogant or he is going to grow into a serious heartbreaker with a huge ego. And don't forget to talk to him about drugs. Show him some drug addicts. I see the writing on the wall. Hugely talented though. He will make his millions first.
For those commenting saying it wasn't that good, more than half of you couldn't do this when you were twelve so don't be such a critic. And, this crowd sucks! He did a great job!
Michael Robles Ramos Daddy bought him an expensive guitar, sat him down front of bunch of RU-vid videos, and told him to just learn of the 80's cliche licks.... GIVE HIM A REAL GUITAR,AND TEACH HIM HOW TO PLAY REAL MUSIC FOR GODS SAKE! Nothing like wasting his time on 80's music...he'll be in the basement for a long time!
As a musician I can honestly say your comment while founded is complete nonsense. You do not need to play an instrument to hear notes out of tune or wrong chords being played....who do think buys most music???? Normal people who cannot play but can hear...please refrain from stupid comments to sell a point not worth making. TL/DR: Don't need to know how to play music to hear if good or not. Kid was good and he has plenty of time to really kick into the stratosphere. He can wow a crowd, but to make the millions you have to hit the right notes. Kid rocks no argument here.
Michael Robles Ramos just because you can’t do it, doesn’t mean you can’t judge. If you listen to a shitty song, you can say it’s shitty even if you’ve never written a song. But I think he did AMAZINGLY
I was no words to describe the your talents are beautiful and wonderful your amazing to be a true star shinning bright on a world where we live together
So everyone is bitching about it being easy to play. Playing covers is pretty easy no matter what, as long as you practice. The kid actually has STAGE PRESENCE, and can actually bend a string with emotion. Everyone on here probably plays guitars in their basements and have never played a gig in their lives. "Whats so special about this basic stuff" Umm it's a 12 year old that has more balls than you do. THATS whats special.
What a talent! The Perry Mason outro and solo was the icing on the cake. That was simply ferocious!😈 If there's still a bit of justice left in the world I hope this kid is grown up and getting paid for what he does so brilliantly.
Wow, wow, wow, ,,,so unreal young lady, you are so awesome, I have been playing the six strings since I was 6 years old, ,,girlfriend you are so blessed with a talent, ,,gods gift, you shred it, I am at a loss for words, ,,,please keep it up
hahaha….What all of the seasoned pro's that are commenting on this video are too smart, and too seasoned to understand, is simply this……YES there are surely better and younger somewhere out there in this huge world, but, THIS boy is the one in the spot light,on the stage ,on tv, in front of a crowd DOING IT! ….NOT in his bedroom playing for the family pet and babysitter! Know the difference and the reality of what is going on here!
Impressive if he's only been at it for a few years. And I'm not trying to hate on the kid buuuuuut I've played guitar for a long time and this isn't as difficult as it looks. Any guitar player that is dedicated to really practicing his ass of for a few years can pull this off.
+Jeffrey Haefner Not even that dedicated. This is all basic stuff that yes, a kid should be able to play. Get a nice guitar with a great sound and learn some basics. He's got confidence and some showmanship and can play the basics, but this is far from remarkable, IMO. Check out the french girl that plays yngwie and technical stuff. She's impressive and can play things many players can't play at all. Some people are just easily impressed or easily amused. What this really shows is how little you really need to be able to do to get by in rock n roll (not a bad thing, per se, it's not like all music has to be ridiculously complicated). Play a few basic riffs and jump around with a great tone and you're half way there.
+Jeffrey Haefner True that! No hating here but if you practice, let's say almost every day for at least a bit (30, 45 mins), everybody can do this. But kids always have the awwwwww-factor ;-)
Who says this kids playing is shitty? I think he's pretty dam good. I think he should hook up with Avery Molek and start a power band! Call themselves the Young Gunz!
Lots of potential. I find the negative comments here hilarious... the envy is ridiculous. I hope we hear more from this kid and others of his age. Rock music has been back burnered on the pop charts for far too long.
I am not a metal head, but I do appreciate a talent. This young man has talent in spades. I hope he does well in his life. His ability can lead him in to some bad places if fame has its way.
Plays great and puts on a show, many of the young kids I see play great but lack the charisma and showmanship. It’s called PUTTING ON A SHOW TO SEE AND HEAR. Good job you got “IT”
Dnes členem kapely John Wolfhooker... všichni, kdo delší dobu sledují, co a jak hraje, vidí a slyší, že hudba mu prostě skvěle jde a nádherně naplňuje jeho život!
These negative comments are not welcome here! This child is so talented and has no where to go but up! So happy to watch and wow, talented at such a young age!
I love this kid and his raw talent but I can't stand people who tell other people they're not welcome or that their comments are unneeded. Free speech is already under assault and your opinionated post, in my mind, is what's unneeded. Yes, the kid is extraordinarily talented while your post is merely boring, although you're welcome to it.
