Dude also owned a couple of thugs, downed Bi-Han and disarmed Shao all while in chains. Now imagine what Kuai would do if he had Hanzo’s Netherrealm Hellfire magic
@@DaItalianSnipernah dude, it was kinda a good change. We get too used seeing him the calm side we never seen what happens if he decides to cut lose righteously
Kuai Liang as Scorpion is an absolute monster. Bro was in chains and still beat up half the villains in MK, beat the crap out of his older brother and instantly melted steel weapons and armour
7:51 Such a small detail, but I appreciate how Kuai Liang did so much with this brief intervention. He immediately quashed two clashing egos. He show how wise he was by explaining why it'd be best if Kung Lao/Raiden didn't join without berating either of them, unlike Bi Han. He showed respect to Kung Lao's abilities by simply stating they're trained differently and that may impact only the mission. Showing humility by still being second to Bi Han, regardless of Kuai Liang concerned for his 'ambition'
Before MK 1, I loved Bi-Han, he was my beloved char. But here.. he is too angry, too selfish.. even his voice is edgy. In comparison to him, Kuai Liang is so passionate, soft and noble..
@@notveryintelligent6239 Their perks and their personalities are merely different. A fire guys is the more chilled but his bro has an ice piwer but very aggressive
I honestly like what this game did with Kuai Liang, Hanzo was great as scorpion but the fact that this not only sets up the Lin Kuei and Shirai Ryu feud but also an epic brother versus brother rivalry
That's kinda funny to me. Back when I was a little homonculus I didn't know anything about the lore of the games, so I thought they were brothers because of the ninja outfits. To think I went full circle like this.
18:26 the soldier on Scorpion's left was looking at Bi Han like Damn dude how could you do that for real. Also, Scorpion has some of the best fight scenes in the game. Dude is kicking everyone's arse...let's git it
5:36 - 5:40 Kuai Lang twitching and Bi-Han saluting right after Liu Kang ignites himself as a warning says a lot about their relationship with Lui Kang. The two brothers (and maybe including Tomas) have been Liu Kang's chief assistants as protectors of Earthrealm for a very long time but through their gestures, it seems possible that they have never seen Liu Kang behave like this. It also shows how much respect that the Lin Kuei brothers have for Liu Kang.
Yeah. Bi-Han betraying made it interesting. I think he respects Liu Kang, but also wants the good for his own clan. I have a theory that Liu Kang is an anti villain and Bi-Han is noticing it. All the characters are so interesting. Very good writing
@@loranelson8476 Bi-Han respects Liu Kang's power, not his person. He knows Liu Kang is much more powerful than him and that's why he does'nt argue with him. That is until the opportunity Shang Tsung gave him, where he realised he now has a chance to break free from Liu Kang and defeat him.
0:31 Love how Bi-Chan literally had no fancy maneuver or any sort of grave martial arts like attack from below… literally just dive bombed onto him like belly flopping into a pool😂😂😂
At 16:34 Scorpion is already prepared to fight and escape. Look at the chains that they're shackled with. Sub-Zero just treats the shackles as is, but as for Scorpion, he already holds it as a weapon. The same goes on at this moment 9:41 where Sub-Zero and Scorpion look at Smoke. Sub-Zero kicked a small debris almost hitting Smoke. I flinch as Smoke and I feel something wrong immediately about Sub-Zero.
In my headcanon, Scorpion is the one who made it to the top of the pyramid and defeated the bosses. It just feels right when we pick him as the final warrior.
Been MK fan all my life, and I started to realise that I like Kuai Liang as a person. It doesn't matter whether he's Scorpion or Sub-Zero, Kuai Liang is that warrior of honour I adore and respect. 👍❤️
It's interesting to note that in the new Mortal Kombat movie that there was theories going on of Cole Young being Kuai Liang but he ended up being a descendent of Scorpion. However in the new Mortal Kombat 1 Kuai Liang is the new Scorpion.
@@Tribrid-zv3nq Kuai Liang retains the same morals, his admiration and disappointment with Bi Han as Sub Zero and Scorpion. If you can see the parallels, you'll see this is a story of brothers, not only mantles.
At first I was kind of upset how the story of Scorpion a d Sub-Zero are brothers and the name change from Hanzo to Kuai, but as I played through the story, I enjoyed it. I love the graphics of everything in thos game. Especially the Living Forest.
Fun facts about Scorpion: Scorpion's voice actor in this game is Daisuke Tsuji and his famous roles are Jin Sakai in Ghost of Tsushima, Hiro "Oni" Watanabe in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022), Shimada Toranosuke in Rise of the Ronin , and the Crown Prince in The Man in the High Castle
Hanzo would've been so proud of Kuai Liang for continuing the Scorpion legacy & Shirai Ryu clan. Hanzo is definitely the true brother of Kuai, not Bi-Han.
I’d like to think when Kuai Liang was born, his cryomancy was slowly killing him. His temperature was too cold, his body rejected the milk he was given, his heart rate was too slow, he didn’t move around much. If you looked from a distance, you’d think he was dead. This caused his father to seek help from Liu Kang, who gave the infant part of his power so that he could live. This can explain why Kuai Liang is so loyal to Liu Kang in the first place, because he was the one who literally saved his life. I hope NRS can go with this or something similar because it’s the only lore-accurate and reasonable explanation as to why he has pyromancy instead. Not only that, it adds to his character too!
The ONLY thing I don’t like about this game is that the Shirai Ryu we’re not formed until after the game. I personally would have liked if they were at least a generation into its existence. The Shirai family were confirmed to exist and friendly with the Lin Kuei. Scorpion was the best fighter of the clan before his death and when he was freed he became the leader to remake it. I don’t see why he couldn’t have joined an already existing Shirai Ryu and become their best warrior helping his wife. It’s just a personal nitpick. For the most part I enjoyed the game, the only complaint being a handful of characters I like weren’t included but that’s every game.
from my understanding, Liu Kang likely never meant for the Shirai Ryu to be founded once again in order to prevent the massacre from happening in this timeline, he changed this Lin Kuei as protectors of earthrealm rather than mercenary assassins after all.
Yes the Shirai Ryu was formed at the end of the game. I was just saying that they were not already an organization before Kuai Liang and Smoke regrouped with Harumi is something I didn’t like. I wanted them to already be an established group, even if they were nowhere near the Lin Kuei yet. Again, it’s just a personal nitpick.
Kuai liang as scorpion is so wise and humble, something hanzo would've never achieve Edit: maybe i words my comment badly, but I'm not shitting on OG scorpion, I'm just pointing out that hanzo often lose reasons, and just went straight to the kill (which isn't a bad thing in terms of writing) While kuai liang Scorpion, is mostly infuriated by bi-han's betrayals and the disappointments of where the lin kuey ship has sailed to (which is also a good change for the reboot)
Grandmaster Kuai Liang will guide young Hanzo for its sequel. He may teach Hanzo to convert his inner rage into a useful power to defend Earthrealm and stop Bi-Han and corrupted Lin Kuei.
You forget the entire point of Scorpion. That from which has been the entire point of Scorpion for decades. He redeemed himself in MKX and continued his growth in MK11. He took the high road instead of letting his rage further him down a dark path. I doubt you could do something like that when it was ACTUALLY presented to you.
*People complaining about kuai liang being Scorpion* Me: I thought in The Mortal Kombat Universe, anything is possible. Is it not possible for a living person to master Fire Abilities?
@@HiAgainTheNameIsStillAyle I guess Hanzo may be personally trained by Kuai Liang to master the latter's abilities and to be his successor to Scorpion mantle.
He's great as scorpion but is weaker compared to Hanzo cuz Hanzo control hellfire but he got just normal pyromancy means he control ordinary fire but one thing don't make sense at all is that he's got pyromancy but got burned by fire of that cauldron maybe like the same way cryomancer can freeze other cryomancer just like kuai liang did to frost in mk 10 and 11
he probably healed half of his face except for his mouth iirc he said he kept the burnt mouth as it is because he wanted that as a sign of vengeance and so to get reminded that scorpion qas the one who burned his face
