Tbh I find this kinda bittersweet. The Foundation did what it was created to do and is no longer needed. Even though it has been slimed down quite a bit, they are still keeping an eye out. Just in case.

I'd like to imagine someone (probably a high-ranking person in the foundation) packing up the old containment cells, going into 999's area, and taking the slime that was once 999 and putting it in a container, and taking it home as a keepsake

The scp foundation staff doesn't need to die in the dark anymore for the darkness has despaired

My headcanon is that this video was broadcasted in our universe at some point in the 90s and that’s why the Foundation no longer exists, hell the SCP wiki could just be a neutralized SCP-101-FR that was left online

This is so far the worst scenario because SCP-999 has ceased anomalous properties in this scenario.

Last line being changed from "Secure Contain Protect" to "Secured Contained Protected" Fits so well

I actually think this is horrifying, because of the following implications: 1. As many have stated, an anomaly made them inert. All of them. The SCP Foundation disbands… and then? They all become active again, months or years later. 2. The Foundation carries out one of the most heinous mass killings of D-class and non essential/temp personnel. 3. Something *else* sent out a broadcast. 4. The other organizations will absolutely try and make a power play with the Foundation gone. 5. Much like 5k… what happened to them? Certainly nothing good.

to be honest, it's kinda sad all these years, and you are redundant at least you get to live with the knowledge of the dangerous anomalies not posing a threat, but at the same time with the sadness that the ones like 999 or 529 are gone

I like this scenario but I think it would’ve included the foundation saying that high ranking members of the Research Team would be staying on and a small number of the past SCP’s would’ve stayed so that they could study what happened and if they could possibly get their anomalous abilities back. And they also probably would’ve offered members of the research team to stay on if they wanted.

This is an interesting one. This reminds me of an article I listened to once. So basically the foundation created a super computer that came up with containment procedures. And it was good! So good, it actually ended up not only predicting future containment breaches of many scps, it actually predicted a few attacks from the chaos insurgency. But that was just the beginning. It eventually became a full proof way of not only predicting containment breaches but a way of neutralizing any and all anomalies. But here is the catch, it’s proposed ways often included unethical or nonsensical practices. For example, for one anomaly, it proposed they line the entrance of site 76 with cat carcasses. When the ethics committee and eventually the council decided to reject many of it proposals, the computer slowly ended up either controlling them or making if them disappear. At the end I think the last 2 o5’s ended up designating the computer itself as an scp so that it would destroy itself when it was complete with all the other ones. I think I may have gotten a few of the details off but that is the jist of it. I don’t remember the designation but it is a very interesting article that you should def look into.

If I were an SCP employee in this universe I'd be paranoid as hell. Is the message a trick by an enemy faction? Is it an anomaly deceiving us? How have all the anomalies been destroyed? If it was by another anomaly, does that mean the one anomaly is still left and how do we know we can trust it not to go rogue?
