Captain of Industry does have belts, its just after Construction II. They come in two flavors, flat and U-shapped. Keep an eye on your population, providing whatever they need like food, water, housing, and utilities; maintenance supply, else things will stop working; and unity production. Edit: wrong research and pop housing
Adding further advice; Unity is more or less a measure of settlement happiness, the more you provide to the people (varous foods, water works, and power) the more you receive. Unity can be spent on special powers like trading, repair, vehicle recovery, and instent building delivery and/or ongoing cost of buildings (like the beacon), edicts, outposts (oil rig), and trade contracts. To keep the population stable, use an edict to stop natural growth and pause the beacon. Resources on the island are limited, but outposts off the island have unlimited resources, using cargo ships to transport it all back to the island. Also there is a switch within any production building (smelter, assembler, etc...) just above the recipe selection "show / 60" that'll simplify production numbers to a single common denotator of 60. It makes matching production numbers so much easier as the setting will remain between all production building UI's. Edit: added production denotator
This series looks promising after your Cities series, its like a combination of Cities and Satisfactory, it looks promising for an Early Access game. Anyway keep it up!
This game is absolutely spectacular. There's a reason it has 90% positive reviews on steam with like 8k reviews. It's Factorio + Anno + Tropico + Satisfactory. + Minecraft??? _(in the sense that you actually have to care about what chunks of the terrain you dig)_
this game is sooo good. it is also possible to get into death spirals and hard locks if you run out of certain items. the production chains get complex. its so good.
Awesome video for an awesome game! So glad to see you playing this, game deserves all the attention, it came out last week and I already have 50+hrs in it haha. Quickly one of my favorite games
Hi, please make more of these. I woke up at 3AM because of work stress and couldn't relax. I watched this, enjoyed it all the way through and was then able to go back to sleep again completely forgetting my work worries. In fact, I am going to watch it again tonight because my wife will also enjoy this video.
I really love that Kibitz has a lot of variety in his videos. One game I would truly recomnend is Mindustry. It is a factory building, tower defense game and it's a lot of fun to play. It has a lot of cool weapons, many zones to capture and nuclear reactors that may even explode.
I'm loving this game, and I've sunk 40 hours into it since it hit early access (gosh, I didn't think it was 40 hours yet! It sucks you in!) One thing I'm loving is that the systems are pretty delicate, and there's always a lot of manual tinkering to do. Others have pointed out early game fail-states, but I'm still doing things mid-game like noticing my water is low, adding in some desalination, realising it needs seed water so stealing that from my oil refinery, then noticing that I forgot to delete that pipe 15 mins later and now none of my trucks have fuel. It is glorious chaos and I constantly walk that line between efficiency and disaster. I cannot wait to see what chaos you create Kibitz!
Hi Kibitz, long time viewer here. Big fan  Regarding the smoke stacks, not every building needs its own smoke stack. If the building doesnt produce the max amount of exhaust, you can use the pipes to connect multiple machines onto one smoke stack. And regarding production; recipes come in 10s, 20s, 40s (etc) variants. But if you select a machine (e.g. assembler) you can set it to display the production at 60s interval. Once one machine is checked off like this, everything will be shown in 60s interval. Im playing this game as well and its really fun. Looking forward to the series!
smoke stacks are not only used to get rid of smoke. air the moves over top of the smoke stack, this causes suction within the smoke stack. it is with a steam engine for instance used to draw fire from the fire box, into the fire tubes. in this case the smoke stack might be needed on machines to actually draw out the smoke. instead of letting it fill up the pipes and slowly leak out.
I haven't heard your intro since they are billions. It brings back memories. This game looks awesome. I'll be following this series. Great job sir. I love your content.
Kibz usually goes big and goes fast. That’s a fail state here mate. Expanding too fast means you will inevitably crack under the weight of your own industry and here one failure causes something else to fail like running out of coal weighing down your oil production mean your fleet doesn’t get fuelled properly which means things don’t get done on time and slow oil production affects your electricity which defects all non basic buildings and eventually enough systems fail that they Impact the other systems ability to recover and you’ll end up stuck with nothing working or powered or fuelled and not a single thing you can do about it. This is a game that rewards slow methodical expansion with logical placement. Like smelters being right next to an iron ore deposit and not next to the abandoned tower. Which won’t last as long as you think it would.
really excited for this, i haven't looked into this game much yet but kibz enticed me, looks so cool! thanks for introducing me kibz! another game onto the wishlist :)
I never knew i could be so addicted to something more complicated then my Girlfriend, and then i found the Factory/city building games... and Kibitz playing them..
This new series is gonna be awesome with industry with a bit of cities building. wait if theres other villages or a world and theres war ships it means there could be war or conquest and if there conquest theres world domination ahh yes its all coming together all my favorite things in one game (:
unfortunately you don't really get any other land masses to build on and the "combat" is basically just icon of your ship and its combat rating, icon of enemy ship and its combat rating, biggest number wins. very very rudimentary, but who knows they might have bigger plans for it all in the future.
@ImKibitz, Had a weird thing happen to me in Satisfactory recently. Found a Bean 2 stories up into one of my factories. Wacked him once with the zeno basher and he went down the only staircase in the building, to escape me!
Looking forward to watching you play this. For me it was not polished enough yet, even if it seems to be quite a lot of game to go through in its current state. Just have to many Early Access games already... :-) You should also try Going Medieval btw. not a Factory Game, but a lot of fun!
looks like one ship survive the apocalypse from the Cities Skylines, now they tried to survive from one island and trying to go to space! the mid lata game is complex but Im sure Kibitz can handle it beautifully
Great video kibs. One other great factory building-/tower defense game I would recommend making a video on, is Mindustry. It is an underrated gem with a lot of cool features and mechanics.
I have seen other RU-vids playing this but I can't watch there's because it does not have you YOU thank you for playing this I look forward to seeing more content not just on this but all the other games you have going always a highlight of my week when RU-vid tells me you have posted thank you again.
Hey, Kibz, I'm not sure where else to post this, so I'm posting it here: There's a game called Mindustry that I think you'd like. It's right up your alley, and it is a mix between a factory building game and a tower defense game. I'd love to see you check it out!
Dude you're going to sink so much hours into this game. I'm struggling not to load up the game right now. Dumping into the ocean is a big brain move you run out of building space later in the game, so better to start dumping now. Press F11 to zoom out further.
Ok Kibz if u plan on making a series from this game which I hope u do btw, Immediately switch over to the curved island map because we all know how you like to play an that map your on is small fyi. The curved island map is much bigger an has more resources but regardless of what u do I hope there is more to come of this game…it’s a rabbit hole that goes deep an that will test you mentally.
@@iorvaraybara7490 as long a trucks can reach any part of the pipe they can upgrade it even if underground. so they will just go to where the pipe comes out to connect to a building to drop the resources for the upgrade, you can also use unity.
Funfact container homes are 1.inefficient as fuck (like room vs space usage 2. more expenisve for the housing space than normal houses 3.well you can build houses really really higj but containers arent as high stackable Source : film theory "ready player one"
Bey kibz, if you're looking for a nice game to try out when you eventually run out of other games to play, try out Frostpunk! It's a city-builder/survival game with a sprinkle of morality issues and authoritarianism! I'm sure you'll like it!
