God continues to keep his promises by delivering to Caleb the land that he was promised back in numbers when Caleb was one of two guys who trusted in God and brought back a good report. Now even though Caleb is 85 years old he is devoted to God and trusts that God will give him the strength to win and gain the land promised to him. We need to have a faith this strong that even though it may take years and walking through wilderness with seemingly no end God has a divine plan for all of us and works everything for the good for those who love him. Therefore we need to have faith and trust that God will provide for us just a he promises even when we can't see how, even when the way seems to be a giant impossible to overcome God is with us guideing us every day to be with him, and he ALWAYS keeps his promises!!

Studying these maps from Joshua 15-16 has not been easy, but it has gotten me super excited for the promiseland that God has promised me in Heaven! These chapters are really just getting me to cry out Maranatha! I can't wait for the day Jesus returns with trumpets and we get to ascend to Heaven with him! Seeing God fulfill these promises of giving the Israelites the land just make me so much more excited for Heaven. Revelation 21 describes Heaven as a place with no tears, no pain, and no sin! I can't wait for the day Jesus returns in all his glory and I get to be called home to Heaven for all of eternity!

Lord, your kingdom come! Right now we see you as if we were looking through a dim mirror. We praise you for your promise to see you face to face as Your child through Jesus Christ our King. Our biggest delight is to inherit an eternal life with You!!! “Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." And he who was seated on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." Also he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true." And he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.” ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:1-7‬ ‭

I'm so encouraged by today's reading! Being a geography snob, reading these chapters has made me more and more curious about how the land was split between the tribes (Thank you Compass for making the map!). Having read through the promise to the battles and finally to the people receiving the land, I am encouraged to see the Lord fulfilling His promise. Even then, I am reminded that that same God who fought for them is MY God! (Hebrews 13:8) Just like how the people of Israel received the promised land, I will receive what the Lord promises to me. My inheritance is in Heaven and I'm so excited to be with the Lord for eternity! Maranatha!

In Joshua 15:63, it talks about "an incomplete occupation: Jerusalem remains in Canaanite hands." We can understand why Jerusalem was a city hard to conquer. The fact that it was set on a hill made it easy to defend. Yet, no matter how hard the struggle, with God's promise, and God's help, we can triumph - there is really no good excuse for why this city must stay in Canaanite hands until the time of David (2 Samuel 5:6-10). We know the Promises of God are true and must trust He will do all that He has promised. I'm excited to use our new map of The Promised Land. Thank you Pastor Bobby for making this available. #TeamJoshua 👊

1 Peter 1:3-7 :: I have reason to rejoice in times of TESTING :: Reason # 1.) I have an inheritance kept in Heaven for ME:: this picture of future grace is meant to motivate me in the here and now. I love the surety expressed (imperishable, undefined, unfading, reserved) as well as it’s personal nature (kept in Heaven for ME). If we have been born again, we have a secured inheritance waiting for us. We have reason to have joy, to give thanks, to endure. Reason #2.) Trials are temporary :: “though for a little while you have been grieved by various trials”. Do we see our pain in light of eternity. Whatever affliction we experience today will not compare with our eternal promised reward. There IS a light at the end of the tunnel, OUR promised land. And that eternity impacts how I live today! Reason #3.) Trials have valued purpose:: “so that the tested genuineness of your faith- more precious than gold... may be found to result in praise and glory and honor”. Not even gold is imperishable, but REAL faith is and can endure fire. The pain of trials, will never outweigh comfort and ease if our faith endures and proves true!! How encouraging!

I love history and to get real understanding of it one needs to know the geography; where is water, good soil, the mountains an valleys that dictate where the roads are etc. Geography explains and dictates so much of history. God's promise to Abraham came with a "treasure map" that led to the Promised Land. It is always good to know where the treasure is and it is in God's promises!

Caleb offers his daughter as a reward to the one who captures Kiriath-sepher. I noticed how the daughter obeyed her father. Then to support the land that he gives her she asks for more in Joshua 15:19 "She said to him 'Give me a blessing. Since you have given me the land of the Negeb, give me also springs of water.' And he gave her the upper springs and the lower springs." The Father, Caleb gave her both the upper and the lower springs. The daughter must have been taught well by Caleb, who loved the Lord and passed that love of the Lord on to his daughter. She obeyed and Caleb also gave generously to her what he could, being a blessing to her and her new husband. This is a wonderful example of strong family ties and their importance.

I’m so excited for All Souls Class this weekend! I am really enjoying reading and digging deeper into chapters of the Bible that I’ve formerly skimmed over like today’s reading. What stood out to me the most, as mentioned in the video, was the inheritance factor. This inheritance for the people of Israel is proof that our God is such a good God to unworthy sinners like us. This makes me think of Titus 3, “But when the goodness and loving kindness of God our Savior appeared, he saved us, not because of works done by us in righteousness, but according to his own mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit, whom he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior, so that being justified by his grace we might become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3:4-7

God promised this land to Abraham and we are finally seeing it fulfilled!!!! And it doesn’t just say “they got the land” it goes all out in detail EXACTLY how much land God gave them and where. God provided far more than they probably ever imagined... so what does god expect of me when it comes to his promises? He expects me to trust him!!! I might not see many things God has promised in my lifetime, but I KNOW I will see heaven- I will have eternal life. And what could be better than that? I will wait patiently for his promises to be fulfilled, like these great saints we read about. I will encourage and lead others around me in the way of the Lord, so even if I don’t see certain promises fulfilled the next generations will have an example of living by faith. They will be unwavering and will continue on in obedience until we are reunited with Jesus in the clouds!!!! I’m so encouraged!

Joshua 16 brought back memories of my teenage years when my father would talk about the 13th Tribe of Israel. Why 13 and not 12? I was told that Joseph’s son’s Ephraim and Manasseh split the birthright of Joseph thus adding another tribe. Dad would also talk about the lost tribes of Israel and trying to track their existence in the world today. Back then I never gave it much thought and I still don’t focus on it very much today. What I do get. God keeps his promises. That what I get out of these chapters. God keeps his promises.

My mind is blown for learning the importance of Deuteronomy 48 and 49! How perfect is the Word of God that it fact checks and supports itself with its cross references because it's all truth! God's plan is perfect and his promises are fulfilled. How gracious is he on us to care about the minute, perfect details. Even extending it all the way back to his covenant with Abraham to make his offspring numerous, nations that the Lord SAYS he WILL give to them. The Lord's will be done!

I am looking forward to all the mappery with my brothers and sisters! I was reading through these chapters today and had to open a map so that I could follow what was happening and where. What it really caused me to think about is how large the area is that the people conquered. I do not normally think of it as a large place, but there are mountains to cross, deserts to cross, and all sorts of natural obstacles to deal with. On top of that, the people were all on foot, or at best, on horses or donkeys. That would take a long time to cross even without fighting battles throughout the region. I was also thinking about Deuteronomy 7:7: "It was not because you were more in number than any other people that the LORD set his love on you and chose you, for you were the fewest of all peoples," Not only did the people have to simply travel into the promised land, they had to defeat enemies that were larger than them! The list of cities and towns in Joshua 15 was not small, and that was only the cities and towns in the region of Judah. Each one had to be defeated in battle. It really brought to my mind that God keeps His promises, even when they may seem difficult or impossible to us!

“This is the inheritance of the tribe of the people of Judah according to their clans.” ‭‭Joshua‬ ‭15:20‬ I counted up the number of cities that the tribe of Judah inherited from verses 21-62, and the number is over 100!!!! God promised to give the people the land, and He did not do it in a small way. This reminds me and encourages me this that if something is God’s will, even if it’s big, that I should pray for it to happen like it’s going to happen; I should pray with FAITH! God so very often today exceeds our expectations when He answers prayer, yet we so very often doubt His ability to do great and mighty things for His glory right before our eyes. By the Lord’s grace, may this example encourage us to be people of faith everyday. “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭3:20-21

18 When she came to him, she urged him to ask her father for a field. And she got off her donkey, and Caleb said to her, "What do you want?" 19 She said to him, "Give me a blessing. Since you have given me the land of the Negeb, give me also springs of water." And he gave her the upper springs and the lower springs. Joshua 15:18-19 It’s interesting how this small narrative is sandwiched in between the listing of the boundary lines of their inheritance. Not only did Caleb give her the land of Negeb but she asks him for springs of water. It reminds me of the relationship we have with God the Father. He knows our needs before we ask and He is abundant in supply! All we have to do is ask! If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him! Matthew 7:11 We have a God who loves to give good gifts to His children. These are gifts we truly do not deserve.

And Caleb said, "Whoever strikes Kiriath-sepher and captures it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter as wife." (Joshua 15:16, ESV) Im really fascinated with the character of Caleb and its obvious his name is honored here in the Scriptures later toward the end of His life as he inherits what God promised to him and to his children’s children. This verse stood out to me because at first glance hit me as out of line to see Caleb offer his daughter ad a reward to the man that would step up in war to capture the city of Kiriath-sepher. I had to really spend some time on this verse researching what was going on. Caleb spent his life “wholly following” the Lord with an exemplary faith and as he inherits his promise from God continues on zealously. It should be assumed that unlike most men today, Caleb raised his daughter up in the faith so it would not have been offensive to the daughter but a privilege to show her submission to her father and to a worthy husband that had the type of faith that would be used to lead the army of Israel into battle advancing the Kingdom. Im once again encouraged by a great example of faith and take notice of Calebs type of faith that wholly followed the Lord that was contagious to his family and passed down to the next generation. My prayer now is that we live out the type of faith as Caleb and that the torch of faith would also be passed down to our children and the generations to come so that they continue to march forward driven by the promises of God all the way into their inheritance to ultimately be with the KING.

Regrets have been made. I almost always watch these videos at lunch time but was late to it today, and now I missed my chance of getting this amazing map! None the less, I spent this morning drawing a very rough version of the promised land. Praying that this will lead to a better understanding God’s word as we continue to read through the prophets and writings!

I love the promise of our inheritance; 1 Peter 1:4. I’m so encouraged by that for very personal reasons that blessed me! I’m praying about who to invite to All Souls Class and have already mentioned and invited a friend. No matter what, praying for many souls to be saved this coming Sunday.

Reading all the details about each tribe's land allotment and knowing that God had all this planned when he gave his promise to Abraham is amazing! He planned out every detail! Knowing I have my own inheritance in heaven that was all planned out by God makes me excited to read more and really know where these special places are! Yay #teamjoshua ! Printing my map as I type!

Praise the Lord that He is still saving souls!!!! God's power is not stopped by digital meetings! Praying for the All Souls Class! Mappery! I love the visual addition! Thank you for the print out! I'm going to remember that Ephraim is in the north And Judah is in the south because alphabetically "E" is before "J". I care about the details of my inheritance!

First of all I would like to Thank You for our Map. I can’t wait to use it in the days to come. It was good to be reminded that our home isn’t here on earth, but our inheritance is in Heaven because we have been adopted by God the father are we are His heirs. “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory.” Ephesians 1:3-5,11-14

Journey south to Judah. Exit north to Ephraim! JSJ/ENE. It's the teacher in me. You have to kind of sing it. haha. It is amazing to see the detail in the scriptures. How can anyone say that the bible is not the inspired word of God when you see the attention to detail from Genesis carrying over to Joshua. Reminding us of how Manasseh was first born, yet Ephraim was given the blessing. So many things go together. Not even the smartest man could write a book like this!

MAPS! God is so faithful to fulfill every promise (Joshua 21:45)! And God shows us in EXACT detail how he does it! It reminds me of my promised land... "And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb. And the city has no need of a sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb." - Revelation 21:22-23 This is where we're heading! And I can bet there will be no amount of chapters that would be able to describe all of its glory! Maranatha!

Talking about the need to know Judah and Ephraim while reading the land allotment made my heart heavy and at the same time stirred me up! Here we are reading the fulfillment of one of God’s great promises and in the same breath talking about how it will be taken away because of their sin! But It’s fitting that as we talk about the blessings of obedience, we talk about the curse of disobedience just as Deuteronomy 28 warns us. As we read and understand the power and truth of God’s blessing, we must keep in mind the the same power and truth of God’s curses. By 930bc we have a divided nation caused by the sin of rivalry and greed. It leads to false worship and worship of other gods, with bad king after bad king in the North (Israel/ Ephraim) until their fall to the Assyrians around 720bc. And in the south much the same but with a few good kings and times of revival mixed in until the South/ Judah falls and is exiled to Babylon! My prayer is that we take heed both to blessings and curses that are promised. Both are the word of God and both are forever true. So many blessings in my life can be squandered or corrupted by my disobedience. I pray that the Lord grant us wisdom and strength and not lead us into temptation but fortifies our hearts and minds with his truth. Help us Lord to choose obedience, blessings and life.

I actually posted this to my group before I watched SOTD. Sadly I couldn’t get to church for the map but thankful there’s a digital copy available. 15:1 The allotment for the tribe of the people of Judah according to their clans reached southward to the boundary of Edom, to the wilderness of Zin at the farthest south. Reading this chapter would be super helpful if you had a map so you could really understand the land they take over. But it’s amazing to see the details, the record keeping of the land. By providing these specific details, you can use history to verify the Truth of it all. It’s not made up, but actual facts. Thank you Lord that your Word always proves true.

Joshua 15 is all about land allotments and boundaries. I can see how this would be a boring read, but if I put myself in the shoes of an Israelite, this would probably be one of my favorite passages to memorize. Why? Because these people had never owned land before in their life. They grew up in the wilderness and now they are given an outline of the boundaries of their exact inheritance. It’s like when I finally moved out of my parents house years ago into a rental home of my own. I loved the feeling of being a (temporary) owner of everything in that place. In that moment I remembered how good God was to me. He had blessed me with so much. Likewise, this passage would have reminded them of God’s answer to His promises. Application: Today I will take a moment to remember and reflect on God’s goodness to provide for me, especially amidst this coronavirus when a lot of people I know are losing what they thought they were secure in. Thank you, my Jesus.

Wow!! I was reading through Isaiah 65-66 today and it so related to the fact that we have an inheritance to look forward to in the kingdom of heaven It begins with... I will bring forth offspring from Jacob, and from Judah possessors of my mountains; my chosen shall possess it, and my servants shall dwell there. - Isaiah 65:9 And goes on to say 17 "For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind. 18 But be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem to be a joy, and her people to be a gladness. 19 I will rejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in my people; no more shall be heard in it the sound of weeping and the cry of distress. 20 No more shall there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not fill out his days, for the young man shall die a hundred years old, and the sinner a hundred years old shall be accursed. 21 They shall build houses and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit. 22 They shall not build and another inhabit; they shall not plant and another eat; for like the days of a tree shall the days of my people be, and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands. 23 They shall not labor in vain or bear children for calamity, for they shall be the offspring of the blessed of the LORD, and their descendants with them. 24 Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear. 25 The wolf and the lamb shall graze together; the lion shall eat straw like the ox, and dust shall be the serpent's food. They shall not hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain," says the LORD. - Isaiah 65:17-25

Seems like we keep coming to the promises of God! Which should teach me how to pray. “The best praying man is the man who is most believingly familiar with the promises of God. After all, prayer is nothing but taking God’s promises to him, and saying to him, ‘Do as thou hast said.’ Prayer is the promise utilized. A prayer which is not based on a promise has no true foundation.” - Charles Spurgeon, The Promises of God

I got my map! It is wonderful to now learn about how God is fulfilling His promises to the people by giving them the land ‘flowing with milk and honey’ but I just keep going back to the tribe of Levi, they didn’t inherit land. This earth is NOT our home! Our inheritance is in heaven just like the Levites We are just passing through! John 14:2 In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?Revelation 21:27 But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.

Woah! So much I’ve learned from SOTD. When it’s time for biblical geography, let’s get Mappery. Team Joshua! 👊🏼. As I was reading these chapters today I had to stop and grab a Bible that had a map as it was hard to understand without looking. That made so much more sense!! I was trying to think how I could remember Ephraim and Judah. I know it's sounds silly but E before J so E is top so north, And Judah is after E so south. Don't ask me how I will remember that but I will!!!! Anyway, looking at 1Peter 1:3-9 says so much of what I will inherit when I die. Such a chapter of faith believing even though we don't see!!! I got real emotional just reading that chapter. God has kept His promises!! Praise the Lord!! #TeamJoshua #TeamBible

Right in the middle of my map lesson come these verses: 16 And Caleb said, “Whoever strikes Kiriath-sepher and captures it, to him will I give Achsah my daughter as wife.” 17 eAnd Othniel the son of Kenaz, fthe brother of Caleb, captured it. And he gave him Achsah his daughter as wife. 18 When she came to him, she urged him to ask her father for a field. And she got off her donkey, and Caleb said to her, “What do you want?” 19 She said to him, “Give me a blessing. Since you have given me the land of the Negeb, give me also springs of water.” And he gave her the upper springs and the lower springs. I am reminded to come to God with my petitions and requests, because my Father is never too busy to hear my prayers and requests.

And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”” ‭‭Revelation‬ ‭21:1-4‬ ‭

I remember by thinking in alphabetical order. E is first so Ephraim goes on top (north) and J is after so Judah goes on bottom (south). Simple for me. I really enjoyed revisiting 1 Peter and thinking about our inheritance as these chapters in Joshua have been about God fulfilling his promise for their inheritance. Thank you for the introducing me to the word, "mappery" Pastor Bobby and for making maps available for us. Sorry I couldn't get to the church for a printed one. Mappery!! Lol. I’ll be honest, these chapters have been hard for me, but breakdowns like this really help and remind me all scripture is from God, all of it matters to Him. “...who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. In this you rejoice, though now for a little while, if necessary, you have been grieved by various trials, so that the tested genuineness of your faith-more precious than gold that perishes though it is tested by fire-may be found to result in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory,” ‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭1:5-8‬ ‭ESV‬‬

After reading and watching my first thoughts were why is the saying "The devil is in the details" a thing when it's clearly GOD IS IN THE DETAILS. And come to find out the saying was actually originated as "God is in the detail" and has been changed over time. Well starting today we should all know that clearly GOD IS IN THE DETAILS and he loves to tell us about it.

Ariana G- bearing in mind the prophecies that the Lord led Abraham to anoint each of his sons & grandsons with and seeing how they each came to fruition is a testament to the fact that no matter how much time has passed what the Lord decrees will come to pass. For example, Abraham stated that the scepter shall not depart from Judah, when he gave Judah the blessing of the 1st born although Reuben was truly the 1st born. Reuben having forfeited his birthright by committing an abomination against his father Abraham. It's no surprise that Judah's territory includes prominent territories (Jerusalem, Bethlehem, etc.) & will also be the remnant of Israel that will survive the destruction of (Northern) Israel in 722 b.c. when Assyria conquers them and carries them away as captives. Also, the fact that King David, King Solomon, and most important of all our beloved Messiah, Jesus Christ, comes from the line of Judah is further fulfillment of the prophecies stated about him in Gen 49:10 [The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes, And to him shall be the obedience of the peoples.] Genesis 49:10 NASB

Joshua 15:1 The allotment for the tribe of the people of Judah according to their clans reached southward to the boundary of Edom, to the wilderness of Zin at the farthest south. While at first grace these chapters might just seem like a long list of cities and geographical landmarks, I see them as a record of God’s faithfulness to keep His promise that Israel would inherit the Promised Land! Way back in Genesis 15:18-21 God promised Abraham that He would give a certain land to him and his offspring. And here in Joshua 15-16 we see God keeping His promise. How encouraging that God is always faithful to His Word. From a human perspective this promise took a long time to fulfill, but in God’s mind this promise was as good as done from the moment He made it! I am encouraged today by the inheritance that God has promised ME in 1 Peter 1:3-4, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an INHERITANCE that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you.” This was something we talked about at Fellowship Group last night! My secure inheritance is a positive result of the resurrection! This morning I’m praising God as the Faithful Promise Keeper and asking Him to help me find daily hope and encouragement from the inheritance that awaits me in the next life. No matter how challenging this life gets, I always have the next life to look forward to.

Typically when I've reached these parts of the Bible such as Joshua 15, I've kind of skimmed over it because it was so repetitive but Pastor Booby makes a great point. Studying geography and these details really open up my understanding when going through the rest of the Bible and they refer to these geographical areas. It also helps to learn how to enunciate them, but I guess that's extra.

Joshua 16:4 The people of Joseph, Manasseh and Ephraim, received their inheritance. GOD KEEPS HIS PROMISES, His word and does exactly what He says He will do!!!! Ephraim (North) & Judah (South) So today required some work! Digging ⛏ and looking up cross references, note sections of my study bible etc. to pull out some applicable truths. And as always.... Gods Word NEVER returns void! Again we see prophesies fulfilled perfectly in Gods timing. We read in chapter 16 the allotment of Ephraim and Manasseh. Though they were two tribes they drew only one lot. Ephraim’s inheritance is listed ahead of Manasseh because Jacob put him first! Here in Joshua 16 we see that come to fruition! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Genesis 48:17-19 - When Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand on the head of Ephraim, it displeased him, and he took his father's hand to move it from Ephraim's head to Manasseh's head. And Joseph said to his father, "Not this way, my father; since this one is the firstborn, put your right hand on his head." But his father refused and said, "I know, my son, I know. He also shall become a people, and he also shall be great. Nevertheless, his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his offspring shall become a multitude of nations." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What an incredible truth and reminder as Gods children! I am reminded yet again that God is faithful to do what He sets out to do. I must do some self reflection and ask myself “am I a believer whom trusts in Gods promises and never allows my current environment here on earth to discourage or shake my faith in Him and what He has said in His Word!?” I came across Psalms 16:5 this morning in my quiet time and couldn’t believe how applicable it was for our reading today!! “The LORD is my chosen portion and my cup; you hold my lot.” May we all be so encouraged to continue to dig and turn the pages of scripture with enthusiasm and excitement as we dig for truths. Praise God for giving me the confidence and faith in such a time as this. A confidence rooted in promises we are able to read about in His Word and get to look forward too in glory. “Today we got to read of the treasure of eternal reward promised to us. We might lose out in this life but we will gain an inheritance for all of eternity!” ~ Pastor Bobby Blakey ~

“This is the inheritance of the tribe of the people of Judah according to their clans.” - Joshua 15:20 It’s amazing to see God keep his promises! It’s interesting to be in this time where we could see how history played out. It is only because of the Lord that Israel exists today. Out of all ancient nations there has been no other nation after 2000 years that has come back into existence. That is a miracle in itself! And the nations will know that I am the Lord, declares the Lord God, when through you I vindicate my holiness before their eyes. I will take you from the nations and gather you from all the countries and bring you into your own land. Ezekiel 36:23-24
