That Homestar makes me smile so deeply in my heart. Honestly the ONLY one among these voices he didn't nail was Brain and that is an admittedly very difficult voice for anyone to get right. You basically have to sound like a gravely monotone yet still intense Orson Welles, without ACTUALLY sounding like the real life voice of historical Orson Welles. Everyone else is perfect!

This made me smile a lot. I'm trying to pin down why this video makes me happier than any of the similar videos I watched earlier today/yesterday. It might be that the voices he's choosing to mimic are ones that are more pleasing to my ears, and/or that he's managing to avoid exaggerating any of them in ways that become irritating or unpleasant on repeat viewings. But I think a lot of this video's appeal comes from the little touches. The body language and editing techniques that this guy uses gives an impression he's not relying solely on the novelty of his premise to entertain people; he's actively taking extra steps to make the video more funny and visually interesting, and to enhance his impressions without exaggerating the voices themselves more than necessary. And the vocal flourishes that he uses, like adding Goofy's "hyuck" and replacing "backstreets" with "backswamps," feel intentional; none of them seem like they were added in solely for the sake of making a lackluster impression more recognizable, all of them feel like they were chosen because the song sounds good with them. And not one of the impressions is lackluster. At first I felt that the Brain impression was too quick for me to recognize it, but he fixed that by bringing it back later in the song for slightly longer. Even the characters I don't recognize are voiced in distinctive ways that set them apart from everyone else; no two impressions sound the same. The closest thing to a flaw that I can see here is that there's no Winnie-the-Pooh characters. And not EVERYTHING requires Winnie-the-Pooh.
