Sub: Sounds youthful. Like a 20-something year old cruel Yakuza boss. Sounds like he toys with his victims and tortures people. Evil, but still sounds human at the end of the day. Dub: Sounds like a matured supernatural being. No longer sounds human but more-so demonic. As others have mentioned, his voice is very regal. A lot of reverberation and bass. Uses more breath as he talks. Also holds the last note of certain words for a strong regal effect. Ex: “Malevolent Shrinnne” or “Opennn”. Dub takes the cake imo. No more words to describe it besides… malevolent lol

I love how the dub portrays sukuna as an absolute beast who only seeks to cause mayhem, complete demon, pure evil. I’m still in favor of sub because it’s more accurate to sukuna’s character as someone who views himself above others, someone who seeks to be worshipped and treated as beyond other curses, someone who is also laid-back like gojo and self-confident. That and the Japanese voice actor did his own research for voicing sukuna. Ray chase sounds like a cool guy and I’m glad he’s having fun, let him have it but sub is more accurate. Hearing sukuna’s dub voice makes me feel like watching the jjk dub version, maybe I’ll try it, who knows. Feel free to debate with me on this, I’m all ears. I might take some time to answer back because my RU-vid notifications are off so I’m not immediately aware of any responses.
