The latest series Donbrothers have 2 animated Ranger was a way to combat against Covid regulations. Despite the two CG rangers, the show was regconized by 80% of the fandom as the best modern Super Sentai season to ever exist. Like the plot is so rich and powerful, twist and turn here, they really want 180 with the series and succesfully manage to combine both comedy and mature elements in this story. For example: One of the villain KILL a baby in the most hilarious way possible right in front of the mother's eyes. That's how dark the series is.

Donbros is easily the best of modern day Sentai and the best we've gotten for a while, it's controlled chaos all season long and much more dedicated to character development than the whole "save the world" plot, plus the main man behind it is the same director in charge of Jetman, with Donbros being his second Sentai, and we all know how good Jetman was.

12:06 That would be calligraphy 32:07 These last 2 are the most current and are connected to a degree, with Zenkaiger celebrating Sentai’s 45th Anniversary hence the suit design being call back from previous Sentai, Zenkaiser and Twokaiser are based on past Sentai suit designs while the other members are designed after the mecha of the respective team they represent, with the number on the forehead denoting which Sentai team they represent. The anniversary aspect is then carried over into Don Brothers with the Sentai Gears also being the gimmick used for the series. The Don Brothers base forms are designed based on the folktale The Story of Momotaro. With Don Brothers nearing its ending in the coming weeks for the new series to come in. And as a personal recommendation I would say try the openings for Sentai’s sibling franchise Kamen Rider, granted some compilations are not up to date.

Gokaiger is by far my most favourite season of all (well, except Kyouryuger, which is my all-time #1). Which makes it hurt all the more that Power Rangers completely DESTROYED it. Not only is the name sh*t (SUPER Megaforce, honestly), they made a friggin' POWER-UP TRANSFROMATION to the previous season's team, and that season was bad enough. All mentions of the pirate theme were GONE, just like all traces of the previous season's angel theme were GONE, and while the Gokaiger team had to endure a lot of hardships and tests from members of the previous teams, which were often humiliating, to earn their full powers, and eventuall their own Grand Power, the PR team had to do F*** ALL and somehow still 'earned' their powers somehow. Yeah, PR got weak in the past decade, but MF and SMF really hit rock bottom and then tunnled even further down, and I get triggered by them every single time.

First: donbrothers is my favourite sentai series with a good opening and ending song. Second: there is upcoming new sentai series next month, the motif is bug's and king's and the ranger design is he'll cool

There's no real reason for the 3 person main teams. Sometimes they just feel like trying something different. It's not like with Zenkaiger and the main team being one actual human and everyone else only suit characters which was because of Covid.

4:49 the reason why they stuck with S.P.D is because the S.P.D logo is basically everywhere in the Sentai show, Power Rangers had no choice but to stick with it because if it'd be a hassle to change the logo.

8:42 This is Gekiranger, which became Power Rangers Jungle Fury. It has some of the best melee fight scenes in Super Sentai, which fits because it's inspired by kung-fu movies. Also, one of the best villain character developments, which got lost in translation to Jungle Fury. 15:48 This is Tokumei Sentai Go-busters, which became Beast Morphers. Go-busters having two openings marks a shift in tone because the first half of the story was darker. How dark? They had to mercy kill some people by the first story arc's conclusion. Saying more would spoil a lot. 11:22 This was turned into a Power Rangers season. It became RPM. 31:54 This is the currently airing one, Avataro Sentai Donbrothers. Some of the Rangers here have non-human shapes because it's based on the Japanese folktale of "Momotaro" who has animal companions. That's why the Black (dog) Pink (pheasant), and Blue (monkey) rangers have unusual proportions. Also, this is the first Super Sentai season to have a MALE pink ranger in his default form. Don't be tricked by the zaniness of this opening. In my opinion, this has some of the most messed up (meaning "reprehensible or disturbing") stuff (relatively) in any Super Sentai to date (I'm trying to say this in the least contentious way possible), including a very mentally and emotionally unstable character who isn't even a villain. 15:39 This anniversary season is very nostalgia-heavy, with characters from previous seasons as far back as the 70s showing up almost every episode.

Well you are completely wrong about DonBrothers being 'messed up'...either you aren't watching or it doesn't appeal to your tastes but don't say things that give the wrong impression of the show. ..super sentai seems to be trying new things, that started with Zenkaiger.....

"Messed up" is a slang that could describe when something that's happening is reprehensible or disturbing. Like it could make people say "Dude, that's messed up! Why the hell are they doing that?" Some of those moments in Donbrothers I'm describing that way include (those who don't want to be spoiled, stop reading now): * Generally what the Juto/Beastials do, such as replacing people and ruining their lives and reputation. They even make the simple act of folding origami look disturbing. * The way the Juto prey on the Anoni. The Anoni's screams, especially those not consumed immediately, just conveys how excruciatingly painful it is. There's even one time during the episode when Inuzuka was sucked into the Juto's forest when two Juto tore one Anoni into two. * That one Crane Juto weaving stories. Aside from playing with two people's hearts, she's also shown in one episode to be using her charms to con money out of her fans. That's as far as a kids' show can portray gold digging without triggering the censors. On the other hand, those guys might also be creeps if they're trying to impress her with money. * Tsuyoshi. He allowed a human possessed by a Hitotsuki to be eliminated by a Noto, which at that point they still didn't know what actually happens. The creepy smile when he takes revenge, the thing with Doll-Miho... I was trying to be as vague as possible to stir interest but avoid spoiling too much. It's actually one of the Super Sentai seasons that I like a lot. If I change "messed up" to "reprehensible or disturbing" in the initial post, maybe that will clear things up?

@@PhailPhisher I am going to guess you are American....(if not I'll be really surprised) anyway if it has disturbing elements to it, it's because it serves a narrative purpose to unsettle the viewer especially in the Juto forest. The Anoni screaming as they are getting sucked up, what did you expect their reactions to be, happy smiling,ok Mr Juto eat me now. In Super Sentai there are stakes and people (rangers/civilians) can die and do die. Western people throw words like 'creepy' and 'messed up' so much that it desensitizes the term. Messed-up not a word I'd describe Donbrothers while avoiding spoiled, I'd say its different and trying new things.

Dobrothers has been amazing is going to be sad to see it go but the 47 sentai king ohger that starting in march once donbrothers ends with 4 eps left would hopfully be fun watch and has a lot to live up to considering how amazing donbrothers has been., u should check out all kamen rider ops

you forgot to see the unofficial rangers akiba rangers they are the series that pays the most super sentai homage they keep breaking the fourth wall in their episodes they show behind the scenes of the official series because akiba rangers takes place in the ´´real´´ world where The other series are fiction, it's a super fun series

4:30 I don't think it's "low quality version compared to the Power Rangers". Although Super Sentai has made some characters look like stuffed animals (I mean, it looks funny to you guys), but when watching Super Sentai, I feel that the actors plays such roles very good. Super Sentai always has creativity and investment in plot, especially in this Dekaranger series, it shows the professionalism of a police task force, each line of dialogue, attitude of obedience and criminal elements. All show a difference compared to PR. PR makes us feel like it's more for children.

Same opinion here bro, I watched both versions and Iike them all. However, in my viewpoint, Doggie Kruger in American version used to make me scare when I was a kid cuz the CGI of his face was too creepy. Meanwhile Doggie in Japanese version looks friendlier and doesn't bring too much virtual feel. Anyway, this is just my own opinion, others may have different attitudes about this

It is a Sentai for mature adults full of references to how the Sentai plot goes and otaku culture as well. It's for mature adults considering one of them was a JAV actress iirc (the antagonist).

The 35th one is full of easter eggs from previous seasons. You might want to watch a few before watching that one. Because they brought back people and concept from past seasons you know, you wouldnt get any context if you just jump straight into that one.

There was a super sentai called: "chouseishin series" that is based off 3 tribes: Gran Sazers, Sazer-x and Justirizers. You might wanna check the openings of these as well.

THAT WAS FUN!!!!! 😂😂😂 (No copyright infringement happened because the one who made the song is one of the main cast) Edit: "kira" means sparkle Edit: for me the most fun sentai is Lupinrangers VS Patorangers, as for my fave series its ToQger, the meaning of the series for me is 'remaining as yourself even though your already grew up into adulthood'. That series is the most meaningful one out of the sentai series (since most adults already lost some of those things growing up)

i think the cowboy thing start from Japanese Spiderman which is also the thing that start the giant robot thing for Super Sentai as early one did not have any robot until Japanese Spiderman become a thing and used his own robot also hope you react to Kamen Rider personally i still love that series more since i could enjoy it as an adult a lot more compare to Sentai and ofc it have more variety since the definition is a lot more loose as some season could have 1-3 Rider and next it could have 10-30 Riders

Donbrothers is so good, I recommend to you. The plot is good. Kyurangers is gonna be adapt in cosmic fury in 2023, but only the zords just like Dairangers in Mighty Power Rangers. Is gonna be the last super sentai to get a american version, after cosmic fury will be everything original.

The "Three-Man Teams" are usually for when they want to do more character focused stories. The teams of 5 have fewer episodes to work with per character, you see. EDIT: Okay, I have had ENOUGH of people dissing my boy Doggie Kruger. The American puppet is hideous! It has scales, he's meant to be a jackal not a lizard!

if you waan watch the pirate one.. watch Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, not Super Megaforce. SMF ist realy bad..i mean Realy realy Bad. Its so bad most Fans Hate it. especialy if you know Gokaiger with is one of the best Sentai seasons ever. GekiRanger ist the sentaiseason with the Best fight scenes ever. witch makes sense beacus it has an Kung fu theme
