This was the very first song I heard by All That Remains and it will always be my favourite!

RIP Oli. God im crushed. You were one of the best guitarists i knew. Heaven must be lucky getting Oli, Chester, Vinnie and Chris. RIP You legends.

Just turned 32yo in February 2024, I don't think people realize how great of an era the 2000's was for music (both metal and pop/rap). When I go back and listen to the music I grew up with, I realize that this era of music has a lot of staying power just like previous era's did. I think metal still looks very promising because bands are evolving and pushing the genre forward, wish I could say the same for the drivel that passes for pop music these days lol (guess people will listen to anything lol). It's just interesting to look back and reflect sometimes now that I'm getting a little older, it makes me appreciate the Millennial era of music more. This music is timeless imo.

I was born in 91, this song gave me so much courage at the bmx Park, and then i carried this song into life, stay strong never give up, no matter what happens. Now I'm a Marine Corps veteran, currently in the national guard, and a union carpenter full time. This is for all the gentlemen out there... We were born men because we can endure not being unconditionally loved for we are not Women, Children, or dogs, we must endure, no matter how much we want to leave.

You destroyed it Oli. Some unforgettably amazing riffs over the years, and you'll never be forgotten. Here's to you, man.

2005-2011 was such a great era for metalcore there were so many awesome bands to listen back then.

Hard to believe this song is 12 years old... Still sounds fresh.. Timeless...

Listening to this song feels like I'm back in high school again. Oh man, All That Remains and Killswitch Engage really got me into metalcore and I'm so glad to be a fan of both bands.

I got to meet the lead guitarist Oli Herbert a week ago. He literally stood next to me for the majority of the Judas Priest show at Rock Fest in Cadott WI.

My highschool best friend died 10 years ago at the end of this month. One memory I have is us jamming on stage during a lip sync performance for school. I played the drums, and he was apart of the mosh pit. I remember during the solo, I jumped up and we started slamming into each other, laughing our asses off. Afterwards, I jumped back to my “drums” and continued to play. It’s one of many amazing memories I have with him. But this song… well this song helps me feel close to him again. Thank you all for this. ❤

More I listen to this song, the more I feel like it may just be one of the best rock/metal songs of all time. Such a well written song…

Saw them perform at a metal festival, Avenged Sevenfold was headlining. Honestly these guys killed their whole set, but when they played this song the energy in the crowd was out of this world.

I remember the first time I listened to this song on the radio back in 2008. I was with some friends playing Left 4 Dead and out of nowhere this song came out on the radio. Thanks to this song I found ALL THAT REMAINS

I woke up with this song in my head

I'd like to start by saying that I have never researched/looked into the reason that you guys wrote this song; I am a firm believer in the idea that all music exists to evoke a unique response in the listener that is individual to them. That said, I'd like to share a part of its unique message to me if you will allow. One of the closest people in the world to me decided to commit suicide several years ago. This song, to me, is the story of what i wish i could have told him beforehand. I don't imagine that many people see it the same way, but for me, this is a very powerful song. I thank you guys for what you do; never forget how you can effect people in ways that you may have never imagined that you could.

One of the first bands that got me into metal when I was a teenager. This song was one of my faves, and finally over 10 years later I saw them perform this live. Front row, arms on the stage, with Phil screaming in my face. One of the best nights/moments of my life.

Came here from TimcastIRL You guys ROCK! I'm old school from back in the 80's so I know my rock. I'm pleasantly surprised.

Damn this song brings memory. As a Puerto Rican that went to an all black and Hispanic school community, it was hard to follow different music other than rap hip hop and reggeaton. So few that listened to this music ima glad I was one of them.

Only the gods know how much I've listened to this when I was 14, how was I able to forget it...

Back in my 20s yall played in gainesville florida with maylene and the sons of disaster, to this day one of the best concerts and mosh pits this town has seen!

First song by All That Remains I heard was This Calling just about a year ago. Still find myself going back to that song, for not only a smooth and calming solo in an otherwise hardcore song, but also the song overall. When I finally get back to an actual video by the band I find out the guitarist has passed away. I'm sorry for your loss All That Remains, and I would love to pass this love to his family as well if I could. His metal lives forever. Thanks to you, he's immortalized on sites such as RU-vid.

Ten years ago I saw this video for the first time! This song is the reason why I became such a huge ATR fan! Because of Phil's vocals and Oli's amazing guitar riffs!! Rest in peace Oli! We will never forget you!!

I looked up to Oli when I was 16 and just started guitar and I learned a lot from watching his play. Rip man. You influenced many and won’t be forgotten.

Who knew a song years ago in high school that I'd play to rock out and lift weights to would years later take on a whole other meaning as I've taken on responsibility of a wife and family, bringing tears to my eyes in the process.

I'm grateful for seeing this band perform this song back in 2018 in Pittsburgh. Hopefully one day they come to LA.
