I am reading Seven Days in June right now and am on the wait list at my library for her new book A Love Song for Ricki Wilde. I have Black Girls Must Die Exhausted on my TBR. As an adult I sometimes read YA books to escape from adult books for a while. The Secret Life of Bees was a joy to read. I am going to have to add The Opposite of Always to my TBR. I am so glad I discovered your vlog it is refreshing to see a mother and daughter share a common love of books together. Subscribe button hit.
I'm curious to hear about The Red Pencil. I'm always curious about book-length poetry projects (as opposed to books of poetry composed of separate poems). Sometime it works and sometimes it doesn't but I always have to applaud the author/poet for their ambition.
So happy that the algorithm recommended your channel! I love this mom-daughter book tube duo! Sara, you have some good books on your TBR! I’ve read three of them: Before I Let Go, Seven Days in June, and An American Marriage. An American Marriage was my favorite because the characters will make you angry. I love when books conjure different emotions in me or illicit an emotional response. Can’t wait to watch the Feb Wrap Up to hear your review of these three. Oh, and Char, check out Tiffany’s D. Jackson’s YA books. I love her storylines and writing. MY FEBRUARY TBR 1. The Woman in Me by Britney Spears (audiobook) 2. Grown by Tiffany Jackson 3. Take My Hand by Dolen Perkins-Valdez 4. All About Love by Bell Hooks
I too love when a book can evoke different emotions. Thanks so much for all the book suggestions and for sharing your February TBR. I'll be checking out all the books that you're reading, they sound so interesting. ❤️😊
