Expecting a new pokemon search or ball card to be printed in sv5. That being said Charizard looks like its gonna be REALLY strong after rotation. Moon might get a bump up as well.
I really hope Moon gets buffs next year, it will be interesting to see if it does get any since I am going to try and run that deck. I will miss VIP pass, so I am going to have to think about the next set and what will change with said deck next year.
Path to the peak is the reason why the stage 1 ex’s have no chance or consideration over vstars. It only helps aggressive basic decks and disables interesting setup decks. We don’t need a broken blanket instant play stadium in the format. That’s something recent in the tcg’s history that we never had until the downfall eras like swsh and late sm. You can have abillity lock without an easy to play stadium that takes no bench space and board commitment unlike situational abillity like garbodor, muk, alolan muk, cessation crystal, and silent lab.
More Pokémon search, escape rope or something very much close to it will be back soon, and some kind of ability negation should be coming to the format within a year.
Agreed. Rope has been in our format for so long. I feel like it'll def get reprinted. Ball search, I agree as well. Just curious what kind we will get.
Love the video, helps put stuff into perspective. Already realized though when discussing rotation that Lugia loses virtually nothing. Just Burnette. Itll adapt. I feel like Lugia will definitely rise to Tier 1. Of course it depends on the cards we get til then, but banking on it now. For me, I'm a diehard Gardevoir player. Holding on that we get the stadium from Japan and other stuff to support the deck. I want it to still be good.

So it seems like Chien-Pao/baxcalibur will firmly be S tier come April. Doesn't lose much other than VIP Pass (which all decks lose) and maybe escape rope. Importantly, Pass to the Peak is rotating too.
With battle vip pass going away with rotation what are your thoughts of running something like 4 ditto (151) then swapping into a one of bombirder ex (if going first), or a call for family Pokémon like pidgey, hisuain basculin or phione?
@@RahulReddy Do you have a good program for that? I would think its a minimum of 6 cards, 4 dittos, 1 BombirderEX (going first) and 1 Call for Family pokemon (going second). You do 'waste' your first attack so Going first would actually be more benificial with Bombirder getting 3 on turn one and having a decent hp pool. But for the rest of the game it's a Squawkabilly scenario.
Hey so Perth regionals is on April 13-14 and I’m worried some cards in my deck won’t be valid then due to rotation happening before then. Should I prepare a new deck in case rotation does happen before then or do you think I should be safe? (Note, I play miraidon)
Rotation will almost certainly occur the week before Perth regionals in terms of time frame so you should be mentally prepared to not be playing with the E Block

i REALLY hope Path to the Peak will have a replacement for Set H. it's such a great card that keeps a healthy check on all the powerful ex's and i'd be really sad to see it go.
There would be a disruptive stadium from one of the main sets in regulation mark H Sun and Moon got Power plant regulation mark C to shut down Pokémon GX and old EX Sword and Shield expansion got path to the peak, which shut down all rule box Pokémon ability
