Yeah I personally think ash would’ve been cooked had Paul used Torterra, ursaring, and magmortar instead of froslass, ninjask, and gastrodon. And that strategy of sacking his first two Pokémon to see ash’s team made literally no sense.

While Ash Grove did pretty well against Palmer Rhyperior it still lost. Also another impressive feat was when it battled Roark ramparts as Turtwig, used razor leaf to spun or burn a flamethrower and blend in, then spun and landed critical razor leaf on the opponent. Moreover, Torracat's ability to absorb fire was crucial to that battle, and while that's a solid ability and absorbing Incineroar's blast burn is still indicative of Torracat's capabilities, it's a niche ability. That's why Lycanroc is stronger.

Moreover, Braviary has moves that are super effective on Lycanroc while Incineroar doesn't. Not only that, but consider this: both Kukui and Ash want Torracat and Incineroar to settle their rivalry. They are both aiming to have that fight happen. So the fact that Kukui was originally fine with keeping Incineroar out in the field, but then recalled after Lycanroc started winning means that Lycanroc would be able to AT LEAST do enough damage to where Torracat and Incineroar's battle wouldn't be one where they can say they settled their rivalry. That means Lycanroc can AT LEAST do enough damage to where Incineroar would be crippled for the rest of the fight. Considering how Lycanroc dominated Incineroar in their short battle, I'm inclined to say he'd win. Braviary had advantages over Lycanroc that Incineroar didn't. Namely flight and super effective moves. A>B and B>C so A beats C logic doesn't work in powerscaling.

@@thatboyminusyeah it was a big plot armor moment. Haxorus was also shown to have gotten way stronger by the Masters 8. It held its own against mega garchomp and even learned how to use outrage to counter Draco meteor (which it couldn’t do against Dragonite). Meanwhile, Dragonite had too many anti-feats by then like losing to raihans Flygon and Paul’s garchomp. Dragonites best feat is easily the Dragapult one, even tho dragapult was weakened by lucario and dracovish.

Sirfetch'd and vish are kinda hard to compare tbh They both performed really well in their respective battles (cynthia,leon) I'd argue sirfetch'd is still on top though, It did a LOT in cynthia fight and in the leon fight actually did decent damage to rillaboom allowing draco to finish it off, tho they're still kinda equal

Sirfetch’d had the edge initially, but that power boost for dracovish allowed it to do serious damage to Dragapult (Leon’s 3nd strongest Pokémon) and then annihilate Rillaboom (Leon’s 2nd strongest Pokémon). Dracovish performed better against Leon than any of ashs pokemon (aside from pikachu) and only lost to cinderace because it was worn out and cinderace was too fast for dracovish to land a move

While Torkoal did perform great, you are leaving out a few things. During that battle, Brandon didn't use much strategy, while Ash was pulling out a LOT of them. And while Torkoal had type advantage over Registeel, Charizard didn't actually have type advantage against Articuno because Articuno had water pulse. Torkoal wouldn't have done that good if Brandon used more strategy that battle, or if Ash used less. Doesn't change that Torkoal is better than people think though.

Marnie's Grimmsnarl is nothing compared to a Pokemon that is as strong as a champion's ace.

@@gohanssj2beast4439 Hello again. You underestimate Ash's Lycanroc too much considering Gladion is a very good trainer himself. Not to mention Gladion's Lycanroc had the advantage that whole battle. As we saw in the battle with Kiawe, Gladion likes making use of swords dance. Ash saw the battle too ofc, so he has to prevent Gladion from using it. In other words, so long as Ash fails to break through Lycanroc's defenses, he has to keep charging and attacking to not give Gladion breathing room. Gladion takes advantage of this with stone edge + counter to zone Ash's Lycanroc. So long as Ash is failing to break through, he is under no obligation to go aggressive. So the first opportunity he gets, he goes for swords dance and then Outrage, because Ash is finding ways to break through and get hits in. Considering the highly advantageous position Gladion's Lycanroc had, that's very impressive for Ash's Lycanroc. And then I'd still argue Lycanroc would have beaten Kukui's Incineroar. Both Ash and Kukui want to see Torracat and Incineroar settle their rivalry. The fact that Kukui recalled Incineroar means that he believes that in an extended fight, Lycanroc can AT LEAST do enough damage to where there wouldn't be much of a fight between Torracat and Incineroar or that Lycanroc may even win. I lean towards the latter due to how much Lycanroc dominated during their short fight. It also helps that he is easily the tankiest of Ash's Alola Pokemon by feats. Melmetal's feat is good but it's not better than beating Gladion's Lycanroc while at a disadvantage or being capable of beating Inconeroar. I said it before and I'll say it again, Lycanroc is Ash's Alola ace and he deserves that respect. I place Naganadel higher solely because of the battle with Tapu Koko, if that wasn't there Lycanroc would go above it.

Before Ash's Torracat absorbed the Blast burn, he stopped Incinaroar's most powerful move with it's Bare PAWS.

Lycanroc at that time didn't have stone edge, didn't have counter AND it went into a rage every time it got dirty, something which happened during that fight, he didn't have control of it's red eye power boost at that time. Lycanroc got significantly stronger after the training with Tapu Bulu and the Nanu fight. Melmetal and Ash had a lot of advantages. Namely, Ash knows what Gladion and Silvally are capable of. Gladion and Silvally do NOT know what Melmetal is capable of. They still won despite that. And Torracat wouldn't be stopping it for long without the ability to absorb the blast burn. We see this many times in the anime pretty sure. A Pokemon holding back a strong attack for a bit only to fail. Not to mention, resisting the move helps. And Lycanroc facetanked Inferno Overdrive from Kiawe's Charizard. He does resist it, but as mentioned, Torracat resists blast burn too. I mean let's just look at it this way: As mentioned in my comment, both Kukui and Ash want Torracat and Incineroar to settle their rivalry and that Kukui recalls Incineroar for the aforementioned reason, which is that Lycanroc would be able to at LEAST damage Incineroar to the point where he would be crippled for the rest of the fight and Torracat and Incineroar can't say they've settled their rivalry in that case. That is the absolute bare minimum in regards to Lycanroc vs Incineroar evaluation, while the max is that Lycanroc would win a good, close fight. Torracat won, yes, but in a fight that was as close as it gets. Torracat outright wouldn't have won without the damage Lycanroc did. Moreover, Torracat was unable to do anything to Incineroar before absorbing blast burn. And while that's a strong ability, it's niche. It's only helpful if the opponent has fire type moves. Even type wise, Torracat has a bigger advantage than Lycanroc against Incineroar. They both resist the same, one move: blast burn. They both have super effective damage too. Lycanroc with it's rock type moves and counter and Torracat with Revenge. But Lycanroc can do 2x damage with any of those, but after getting hit, Revenge would do 4x damage against Incineroar. And I already mentioned that the fire absorption was crucial to Torracat's victory. So Torracat had assistance and a bigger advantage than Lycanroc against Incineroar and it was still a very very close fight. On the other hand Lycanroc, in their short battle, dominated. Torracat was unevolved during all this, yes, but we never saw it battle as Incineroar. I think Lycanroc is stronger ofc and I can only give so much benefit of doubt to a Pokemon that we never saw battle after fully evolving. I can still give some though and that's the reason for there being a >= between Lycanroc and Incineroar. One can say Lycanroc was dominated by Braviary, but he wasn't really overwhelmed. Moreover, Braviary has 2 big advantages Incineroar doesn't against Lycanroc: Braviary can fly and he has super effective moves against Lycanroc. A>B and B>C so A>C logic doesn't apply here. And finally, going off feats, Lycanroc is Ash's tankiest Alola mon, which helps in where I place him. He is like Swellow when it comes to tankiness, stubbornness and tenacity. All that is why I think Lycanroc is stronger than Ash's Incineroar.

Melmetal on the other hand was not even trained after it evolved and still put in the work. Regarding the red eyes, stone edge etc. I knew you were you going to say that, Type Null was not even fully evolved so just like Lycanroc, it was not at it's full potential. So both opponents had the same advantage. Gladion uses the memory disc or whatever its called to change Silvally's typing (which by the way is BS and illegally but cool) just to beat Melmetal. Torracat stopped Blast Burn with One Bare Paw, I know it resists but it's still Incinaroar most powerful attack and besides Lycanroc resists Sky Drop but he was barely standing up after the attack. Like I said before Torracat needed to stop the Blast Brun before he could absorb it and even while he was just stopping it, he did not even look fazed by the move. Also you should not take type advantage consistently from the anime to argue your point. Since type advantage is extremely inconsistent.

He didn't beat Charizard. He fought him. In the episode it is said Infernape trained with all of the other fire mons. Never is it stated in the episode that he defeated Charizard. Rewatch the episode dude.
