Come on guys! 12 days of Christmas Star Wars Vader gift parody song chain!
@Miguel Mauro He was actually _such_ a bastard by Sith standards that Plagueis's master, Darth Tenebrous, could only see Palpatine as a smear of pure darkness in a vision he had of the future
Palatine: Happy Birthday my apprentice, I baked you this cake. Vader: ... Palatine: Something wrong? Vader: Why is there an arm in it? Palatine: Ah, that's the very same arm that Tyranus cut off on Geonosis all those years ago. *Vader cries*
Palpatine: “Merry Christmas Vader, here’s a helmet of an evil ass dude from thousands of years ago” Vader: “Thanks grandpa, that’s what I wanted all year!”
Palpatine: Okay, okay, fair enough. But how about a throne made from sandstone? It's like sand, but hardened into stone! Vader: ... Remind me to drop you into the Death Star reactor core.
Makes the relationship between Palpy and Vader/Anikan be evermore like that of an abusive one where the asshole brings said gifts to the victim in order to dupe them into “forgiving” them before the cycle of violence and/or treachery starts all over again.
Whether it was the painful design of Vader’s suit or the sinister gifts that constantly reminded his apprentice about loss and suffering...Palpatine, following the dogma of the Sith, relentlessly pushed Vader to have a stronger connection to the force much like a drill sergeant pushes his platoon in training. To Palpatine, these gifts weren’t mean or cruel, they were probably the most sincere thing he ever did considering the Sith and rule of two was his life so training his successor properly would be top priority.
When a Sith Lord gives his apprentice something as a gift it usually holds a purpose or intent. In most instances, most mentioned here, it was for Vader to deal with his past. Eliminate, destroy, what remained of Anakin Skywalker.
The emperor is such a prankster. "Oh no, Palpatine, I'm not falling for those laxative jellybeans again, I had to hose down my Mustafar bathroom last time!"
When I read the title all I could imagine was Palpatine being like "Oh I hope he likes the new gift I got him" then puts a bow on it with a card that says "from Papa Palps to little Lord Vader"
In the Vader comic, they mention that Momin had his consciousness preserved in his mask. What if Kylo Ren in TFA was speaking to Vader’s mask because it retained the evil consciousness and emotion during his time as a Sith; thus making the mask not only a relic but also as a tool to foster the power of the Dark Side🤔 Or maybe, just maybe, Palpatine might come back somehow through Vader’s mask like what Momin did. Look, this is just my insane theory and idea that doesn’t make sense, so don’t take it too seriously😅
Not so crazy. He told Vader that he and Momin shared the trait of creating things. Probably was able to foresee his own death at the hands of Vader and designed the helmet to contain his force essence. Perhaps that flash of energy as he fell down the death star shaft was him transferring consciousness.
Last vid I mentioned how j was nervous about driving, I really appreciated the support and also the people defending me from an asshole who was making fun of me being nervous
Palpatine just wanted to make sure Anakin knew what he was, a new person and a dark lord of the Sith, not the Jedi knight he used to be or else he would have to get a new apprentice which would be a pain because he invested so much into Anakin
Vader: man I really miss Padmé, I could have saved her from dying Palpy: ay bro I got you a present! Vader: is it the way of preventing death? Palpy: nah it’s a handkerchief, for your Padmé tears. Get over her.
In Greek myth, Medea gave Jason's new wife a gift..was a dress soaked in potion that melted her flesh when she wore it.. there's a tradition of harm hidden under innocent presents.. and Sidious was by nature hiding things in plain sight so gifts like his are truest extension of his inner nature..😂
Was it really deception when Palpatine told Vader he killed Padme? He was unaware she died in childbirth I believe and even if he was aware it's still a logical guess to assume the damage Vader did by force choking her is what lead to complications that lead to her death in child birth. Seems like he was just giving an honest assessment really.
Palpatine: "Lord Vader I gift you the Mask of Darth Nihilus" Vader: "Thank you my master" Stormtrooper: "Nice Mask, let me take a selfi with it on" Darth Nihilus:" FINALLY IVE RETURNED" Palpatine: "We are so screwed!"
Can you do the Gray Paladins from coruscant nights? They're a Jedi faction that used blasters and other weapons one was so good that she was able to send one of her own bolts straight up an enemy's blaster barrel. They also believed in using the force as little as possible so they focused on other skills like martial arts and military tactics like guerrilla warfare, urban tactics, espionage, and infiltration.
You should do a video on the Gray Paladins and see if you can get the lore master, stupendous wave, or Star Wars theory to link to it in one of their videos. It could be a good way to propel yourself within the Star Wars fan base so that you could have a successful channel as well. I’d be willing to subscribe if you did. I like seeing other people’s perspectives on the Star Wars universe.
The funniest part of this comic is that Momin had to try multiple designs before the structure worked as intended. And for each of these failures Vader would kill the mask's host before going out to grab the first person (or creature) he could find to slap the mask on. One of these hosts was just the mounts ridden by members of the native population.
I wonder, would Palpatine treat Vader any different if he wasn’t defeated, burned, and weakened from Mustafar, treat him as his prized pupil? But then again, Palpatine may be evil and abusive but to train him to become a better Sith Lord, keeping him close with the Dark Side. Betrayal is always expected within the Sith, it’s a matter if they ready for it.
Safe to say that Palpatine also gifted Vader, a cape, and a sweet voice box and flashing lights, built-in helicopter blades, and remote-controlled flying fists.
Should have given him a giant hourglass to put inside his recovery chamber. No computerised timer, no alarmclock. Force him to watch the sand fall down.
