All of our content from Holts July '23 Auction put together intoo one film with a couple of exclusive bits thrown in that didn't make it onto TGS Outdoors!
About that "keeping a gun for a while then selling" thing. I've picked up 9 guns from Holts so far, with the intention of selling four. So far, only one has left (and that one as a loss). Easy to buy, hard to sell.
Hey, TGS, the Ithica Model 37 in 16 guage is a great gun. It also has no disconnector, so after the first shot, you hold the trigger down, and it will keep firing follow-up shots when bird hunting. You Brits should investigate American pump action shotguns. They make great bird hunting guns. I own one!!
I have to ask how long does a auction last with sooo many firearms in the auction. Does it last days...? Do they hold up every one and bid on it. Sorry I have to ask a stupid question.
I would spec a 30", 12 bore, SxS round action sidelock ejector, hammergun, double trigger. Straight hand stock, HP steel proofed, fixed choke 1/4 and 1/4, game rib. You wouldn't see many of them about.
If i was going to walk in and order a custom shotgun gun: • 20 guage • Damascus steel barrels • titanium sleeved • colorcase hardened • Black walnut stock, very high grade • Mammoth tusk sight bead • black cherry wood crescent moon on the forend • interchangeable barrels 45-70 government
Thank you so much for showing the in-depth coverage on Simon's Pigeon gun. That kind of thing is absolutely a dream gun for me, and I really hope to find one myself.
