I recently saw 'Clock' (2023) and it was very interesting. There were some 'Altered States' (1980) vibes in there and the topic was seriously on point. 'Missing' was a worthy follow-up to 'Searching'. I was so immersed in the investigation and needed to know what the heck was going on. Thank you for your reviews!
@@mandysmorgueofhorror I think you'll like it. Definitely in the psychological horror terrain. It has excellent discussion points for women...AND men, on how important it is to have agency over our bodies and our decisions. Societal pressure to conform to what is "normal" can cause so much harm and heartache.
@@mandysmorgueofhorror never imagined there were so many of them. All have been heavily influenced by Universal's Golden Age Gothics. Their other horrors are interesting too.
Some more great recommends. I checked out a bunch from some of your previous videos. Ones not mentioned I enjoyed was finally watching the Ouija and Ouija: Origins of Evil. Surprisingly both good as well as Doctor Sleep. Also I totally need to have you on my horror podcast sometime.
@@mandysmorgueofhorror it was so good! I still need to read the book (which I was going to do before watching but got too eager to watch). I need to watch the remake of “Pet Semetary” (currently loving the audio book for that). Michael C Hall (aka Dexter star) reads it super well.
I recently saw Tin & Tina, a Spanish psychological horror/thriller, interesting watch ! Yesterday I saw 65, a more raw dino movie from the makers of Haunt. Seeing/hearing Adam Driver hand whistling is strangely calming. Have you seen And Soon the Darkness from the 70's ? It's another vacation gone wrong type of movie.
Never heard of Gags the clown... I watched something I had never heard of too this week My little eye, have you watched it? Early 2000s, not bad. The babadook is so good I agree. I didn't know Missing followed Searching. I'd have to watch it. I see you is sooo entertaining in my opinion; really surprised me the first time. And how did I not see The vanishing??!! both
Omg I love My Little Eye - it doesn’t get talked about enough. I have it on DVD and don’t think it’s streaming anywhere, which is why more people haven’t seen it. I love Kris Lemche!
@@mandysmorgueofhorror Yes! I don't know why I had never heard about it. Very underrated. Love some early 2000s. It's nice to still find some I haven't watched.
