The thing with thermo generators is they look bad when you just look at the stats that it shows on mouse over. But they are upgradeable by placing a blaze crystal block under them. Think it was 280% with that so 2.8 times what is shown. And in ATM9 they made soul lava as something you can put below them with crazy efficiency. Think it was like 2000% or something like that so 20 times what is shown. So with blaze crystal block and later soul lava a couple of those can carry you well into mid game without thinking about any kind of power production that needs resources.
Soul lavaa is actually 900% in atm9, so 9x the listed value. It's definitely the way to go in atm9 Powah, but even a thermo with a blaze mesh would be better than wind generators.
@@Pilpoh wind generators are definitely cheaper, that's why I'd consider them starter power. Made a mistake in saying 9000%, it's 900%, but even a hardened thermo over soul lava should produce its base 800 FE/t times 9 = 7200 FE/t. And you've already automated stuff up to spirited. I've seen people run a bank of thermos (like 10-20) over using even Powah reactors b/c all they consume is water. Also not playing atm10 yet, so who knows if The Other (where soul lava is found) is even in yet, but if it is, all you need to do is find the Basalt Deltas in The Other for it.
modern industrialization's steam and electric quarry can be cool for ores generation. It generates ores at the cost of energy/steam and a chance of consuming the drill head.
I keep switching between resource generation methods. I have redstone and lapis bees. and easy villagers give me iron for nothing. but then I finally bit the bullet on occultism, so now i'm 6x ore from raw, so the digital miner is back on the table for general ores. you will really want occultism and MI for aluminium too. really liking the way this pack is coming together.
@@Pilpoh i'm using justdirethings advanced dropper and just dropping one item every 65ticks and then collecting it with an item collector. 4 crushing spirits is super overkill for 1 digital miner and a few bees
Also loving just dire things more and more each day. If you ever want to move stuff around look at the swapper thing. The advanced can move a whole area somewhere else with everything inside, even across dimensions. So filled chests, pattern providers and so on without having to take everything out and back in again. Kind of like the cut paste tool but as a block. Hope they don't nerf that :D
Now that you are pretty well setup, i would reccomend the digital miner so that you will never run out of ores! Also, throwing the catcher from dire things can help capture mobs if u need them, including bees.
You can see how much power the gas burning generator makes if you hover over the small square on the bottom left in the interface where it says FE. And keep in mind it generates more if it has more gas inside, so maybe it is worth to have less genertors.
I got a backlog now that my batteries have filled up 🤔 I'll take a look in one of the episodes to find out how much each produces. As far as I can tell though it's a decent amount! 😁
I have been keeping an eye on Integrated Tunnels and related mods which thankfully have been updated recently to 1.20.4 and the 1.21 updates are in progress.
I disagree. Ender gates have transfer limits, so they're no good for when you need to put millions of power into something like an SPS - that's where you need flux points.
@@nemesissombria even nitro ender gates have a transfer limit unfit for transferring power. When talking about transfer limits, all you're doing by throttling power transfer is timegating things like sparking the SPS. You just have to sit around waiting. There's no point other than that.
They both have there uses in my opinion 🤔 in tts I used powah for most stuff because the gates are small and look nice. I used flux points for massive powah draw like the sps 😉
