Me and my grandma used to have a corgi named Groovy. He died of old age. He entered my grandma’s bedroom, slept on her foot side of the bed and never woke up. Over 20 years later, my grandma was very ill from her bone cancer. Two nights before she died, I still vividly remember what my grandma said to me at that night while I was keeping her company. She said she can hear Groovy’s barking. That was when I knew my grandma will be leaving us very soon.
Deevo037 I saw a picture where everyone else in the background was shocked, all mouths open for flies, but the queen was grinning, anyone mind telling me the story?
Well, that explains that scene in the movie, "Johnny English," when The Queen was being forced to sign her rights away to the throne, and the rights of her family; she wouldn't do it, so the bad guy grabs one of her Corgis and puts the gun to the dog's head, and she signs the papers immediately.
she hasn't added any new corgis for several years due to her advancing age. at one point Prince Philip asked why she had so many corgis, she replied because they were so collectable. her remaining dog is a "dorgie". a cross between a daschund and a corgi.
True story, I was working at spruce meadows cooking sausages and schnitzle. The queen came through on the last day of the horse show and brought 6 of these little doggies with her. One of em picks up the sent of my sausage hut, and makes a bee line right for the door, then just sits and stares at me. So i cut off a little piece of sausage and threw it over to the dog, and he eats it up and trots on his merry way. Not 10 seconds later, a big burly bodyguard comes into the hut, walks right up to me and screams "DONT FEED THE FUCKING DOGS MATE!!!" and slams the door. About an hour later, the RCMP "detained" me and asked why I fed the dog. I told them i had no idea who's dogs they were and they believed me. I guess in retrospect they were probably worried I would have poisoned one or something. Moral of the story, don't feed the fucking corgis.
A friend of mine had a corgi and he had the run of the neighborhood we lived in. Everyone knew him and he would wander into people's homes looking for something to eat. He would actually go into my bedroom through my open window where I slept as a child (I lived in a basement suite at the time) and I would wake up to this ball of fur sleeping next to me. Such a character, if he was a human, he would be the "Kramer" of our town.
It´s amazing, in such a formal environment, the way the corgis make the queen smile. It´s a blessing to have them around, even if they sometimes misbehave
Those dogs are blessings. I always thought my Corgi was a blessing and she was. My British grandpa spent time with her when we took her to his house. First time he knew we had a Corgi.
Corgis are the smallest of the herding breed. As a herding dog they are by nature highly intelligent and energetic. Too often people acquire pet breeds based on their "cuteness" or in this case, their celebrity status. We owe it to the corgi to make sure that he or she has a job to do and plenty of room in which to do it. They are not for crating and being abandoned throughout the day while their owner is at the office. They are companionable dogs and must be treated as such. They are pound for pound the hardest working dogs in the canine business!
All dogs can be crated. It's a safe space for them and their bed, and so they know their boundaries which also then stimulates their mind by telling the dog when you want her in there and when you don't.
I've had my corgi almost 4 1/2 years and she has been almost a perfect dog; so smart, great with all people especially kids, and just wants to have fun and please. When it comes to other dogs, however, she's a complete brat. It can be quite frustrating.
+Enrique Godinez I had two, one died recently. One of them was very friendly and very well-behaved. It was in his genes to behave as he was from a show kennel. The other one is very friendly, but he's extremely active and doesn't really care what you tell him to do unless he knows he's in serious trouble lol. I love those two so much. Great dogs.
So that's why there is a Corgi Pokemon, Yamper, on Sword and Shield, since Galar is based on Britian places like London, Just like Kalos has a Poodle Pokemon named Frufrou since the region is based on France.
Wait..that hissing can...Cesar Millan makes that exact same sound to control all dogs he ever deals with! So are dogs just extra-sensitive to that sound? It seems to snap them out of bad behaviors instantly (combined with a touch).
To every youngling saying they want a corgi - put your hearts to it, and the corgi will come! Work diligently, save penny by penny, study dog ownership, care and training, research local corgi kennels and corgi societies, test for allergies and if positive, treatments for them, and one day you'll find one at your doorstep. Brought in by your own hand.
Corgis are the best, I have 2, Sugar who is 7 1/2 y/o and Ruby Ann 18 months, they are the light of my life and 2 of my kitties think they are corgis, because Sugar raised one of them. I don't think it will be long before the youngest one thinks she is a corgi too.
It's completely different from Tsunayoshi Tokugawa's "Decree of Mercy for Living Things" of the Tokugawa Shogunate in Japan. The tail of Corgi is not cut and remains bushy like a foxremain. Britain has produced various breeds of dogs,The crown is the royal family.
