I hope some day we who grow and process the cocoa in the equatorial regions get the recognition that Belgium does. Until all members along the processing chain share fairly and equitably in the profit, the colonial mindset prevails in chocolate.
In Belgium, if you would just add up the Mignonettes we eat (small pieces of chocolate you get with a coffee), you can cover 85% of our territory in chocolate each year.
Chocolate hands of Antwerpen, city who's name ressembles the Flemish words "hand werpen" which means "throw the hand", the hand of the mythical giant Druon Antigoon who was slain by Brabo, a roman soldier that thus saved the city from the malevoant giant and trew his hand in the river Schelde (Scheldt in English) Both Antigoon and Brabo have their statues in the city. Get your facts right.
