They make super strat copies that are just like everyone else's. They're absolutely nothing special. This one might as well be a jackson, cort or fender. Probably the most uninteresting guitar brand out there.

If only this was a hardtail like his original Charvel customs. But he’s covering a lot of Nick Hipa’s solos now in As I Lay Dying so it makes sense that he would need a Floyd.

My first electric was Charvel. And still got it. A '86 HH white with some metal flake and a black pickguard with LT500s, a Kahler and the awesome black pointy headstock in 89. I believe this one was only made for 1 or 2 yrs. My non musical parents did good. Next I wanted an actual strat. And they got me a 83 2 knob that was super cheap. Still got it too.

This guitar is definitely a ripper and bang for your buck ( now most people that keep comparing things to "back in the day" will disagree) this guitar is specd out for the money and to play live, it chugs and im not much of a strat guy or trem guy but it just wants to be played and you don't think about those things when playing it. Obviously would be a bigger plus with a hardtail version but this works definitely recommend

i have no experience with charvel guitars but the price is quite high for a brand and a musician that are not that well known imo, but it will have its fans for sure. joe duplantier is also sponsored by charvel and has some really nice much more affordable signature guitars and pickups that are really worth checking out especially for lower budget guys like me. 🎸🎸

Phil picking the old school Charvel font is the cherry on top. I absolutely hate the more modern logo they use. I guess maybe the cursive one is too close to Jackson? But I also love Jackson so...

I was eyeing this when it came out. I went with the an HT Charvel with the Sassafras body instead. Not that this guitar isn’t great I just wanted something else. I would get one if it were a bit cheaper.

It seems great but $1,600 for a Mexican-made guitar with the cheap Floyd is a bit pricey. It doesn't even come with a gig bag. Fender is just giving us the middle finger at this point. Great review, Fluff. Cheers.

It's not the cheap Floyd. The $2900 PRS Dustie Waring has the same Floyd. The cheap one is the Floyd rose special

My EVH stealth is made in the same wearhouse I defy someone’ to say that amp isn’t a steal for its price point. My Sean long charvel same place $1,200 new one of the my most favorite guitars I own. I’ll put its build quillty above my banshee Mach 7 which is $1,600 bucks. Fender Mexico manufacturing warehouse has stepped its game up immensely when it comes to its other brands like charvel and EVH. As for fender, it’s no diff than Gibson just with better qc but in the end no matter where it’s made or how much you pay , you’r paying for that name on the headstock.
