Around '95 I remember a Musician's Friend catalog had Dimebag Washburn B-Stock listed as "These guitars may have some dings and scratches but Dimebag don't care"
@@recipoldinasty i assume its because ola can vouch for its authenticity supposedly. Ola did meet and form relationships with dimes surviving family and visited the house and all that. So. Its possible. Theoretically. Lol
That Monopoly guitar is a mixture of excellent attention to detail and absolutely atrociously sloppy jank. Trains as tuner buttons, top hat strap buttons, and the other pieces as fretboard inlays ... Monopoly man inlaid onto the headstock. All very nice. Then you look at that shaky binding, the weird blocky neck pocket transition and worst of all- looking at it from the back, there's a full two millimeter gap between the neck heel and the body on the bass side.
Man.... Listing 3. I have a messy workshop, and I sell lots of stuff. For taking photos I always put the items on a cleared & vacuumed area of the floor... so it looks presentable. Sheesh.
Most of Reverb could be listed on one of these episodes. I'm gonna guess the van that bass was in also had some missing children hidden behind the loveseat.
The pics of the Ibanez bass look like the poor thing is being held hostage - and the seller is making a ransom demand! "Gimmie $800 or you'll never see your bass alive ever again!" LOL!!!
I love how the Hendrix guitar had a carving of Jimi playing his right-handed strat carved into a left-handed strat. It's all about appearances, not substance.
Probably your best episode of tis yet. GREAT selections!!! The van down by the river..... my favorite part. Whenever I sell my next guitar.... I'm finding the worse place ever to take pictures. Thanks for doing these videos, I truly enjoy them.
Just noticed...is the gun in the van door opening the one they are going to rob you with when you show up to buy that filthy bass? Asking for a friend....
That Monopoly guitar is kind of dope. It's not exactly how I would have done this theme but if it was hanging around my house, it would get played. Oh, and the ML star shape didn't really get any love until Dime passed away. It's a ridiculous size and shape to live with.
Love this series. Would be am amazing for you to do these live on twitch or something to have chat interact. Although I get it if that's not your thing.
It took me a second to say "Thats a van window" I'm dying LOCAL PICK UP ONLY ??? Walmart parking lot...But the grocery list WINS !!!Maybe they can meet up at walmart
So weird. I grew up thinking Dime guitars were joke guitars due to their headstock and wild paint jobs. Just cheap over the top guitars every store had for those of us who couldn’t afford a “good” guitar. I never even looked at one until later in life and was surprised by the price.
I think the Hendrix guitar maker and the Ibanez van owner are the same dude. 😂 his other hand probably has another list for “rope, rubber tubing and gag ball”
well... the ibanez (5 string lol) bass in the van is like the most appropriate listing ever!!!! also those spots on the dime guitar are probably from when someone was smoking meth and little molten bits of it fell on the guitar.
I’m the guy that posts items overpriced but asking for trades.. people love me.. and it works well.. when I have nothing good I trade multiple items for one good one..
We call the brighter more flashy guitars stage props.. and for a good reason.. setting the stage sets the mood and sets the show up for success.. you could call it set decoration..
That looks like a storage space. The Ibanez deserved more respect. But: bass players. Playing bass as about my fourth instrument, I can attest that my respect for all finer points of life, health and hygiene decrease in proportion to the amount of time dorking around in the F-cleff.
Custom has to be the most misused word in these ads . Translates to " I had a go myself with some tools, it went wrong, its a one off please give me a lot of money" 🤑🤑
those people over the pond are crazy. and not only that they i think have more of the dime washburns thaany one in thre states. its crazy i got a wasshburn 95 black jack first run inport the previus owne4r stripped it so i got it 175.00 bucks had to reradus trhe fret boartd put frets on it and all tyha pludss i did a custom paint job red burst in the middle faded into black with dionand plate airbrushed on it, look pretty killer i sold it to friend in tuscan for 800.00 and he gave me a v332 amnd a fubky monkey snow camo someone stripped the camo off plus cash. the prices are crazy.
My favourite number I use when selling my guitars is £10.000.000 10.000 1000. 100. 10. I don't sell many guitars for some peculiar, and unknown reason. 🤔
You’re right. There were two silverburst Gibson Explorers that came out around the same time. The Thunderhorse was a normal spec outside the signature appointments, but Gibson also made a baritone silverburst Explorer in 2011.
