Kris, thank you so much for this amazing video! You showed several excellent configurations and managed to cover both worlds of the pedal: the subtle and the eccentric! Very cool!
Hey Kris, if you are interested in other Brazilian pedal brands you should definitely check Deep Trip and Utopia FX, they make killer world class stuff. Take a look!
@@KrisBarocsi yeah like you said it all sounded great, usually I have that "it sounds okay, but I don't really want to use it issue with these type of effects" but this didn't sound kinda close it sounded like the real deal to me, hopefully it'll sound great for me too! Since I have your attention I want to say I love your stuff, I've been following you for a while, from tone cap upgrades to random guitar mods, the be your own tech stuff, you always put out interesting, quality content and I appreciate it, keep up the good work!
I felt like I was listening to myself when you discussed modulation pedals in general. I used to be addicted to chorus in particular, until I got my great sounding pedals, a few excellent guitars and tube amp setups. Once I was getting those kind of great tones, mod pedals went right out the door, and I was finding it hard to even listen to mod pedals, almost always something about them that sounded weak , artificial or grating sounding, But this pedal really bucked that trend for me, and for exactly the way you characterized it as being "musical" sounding. Great demo, excellent sounding pedal.
Fantastic review! I'm brazilian and proud to see our work getting global! If you want to search a little more, there are other great pedal makers round here: Rad Custom Shop, Winter Labs, Tone Inc, VTR Effects, Darta Effects, Kappa Effects... They all do an amazing job!
Hi Kris, Great channel! I've watched a number of your videos and find them really useful. I just comparison-watched your review of the Walrus Polychrome side-by-side with the Krozz Airborne. I don't know whether your other pedals or signal chain might be affecting the tone, but the Polychrome sounded a lot more harsh and strident, whereas the Airborne sounded sweeter, more 'euphonic'. What is your impression?
Thanks a lot! Yeah the Airborne is super sweet and has a different sound compared to the Polychrome. It’s a matter of taste of course but I understand why you like this one. I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of it. The signal chain and my recording process is pretty similar btw, I didn’t change a lot over the years of making videos. Cheers!
I am a flanger fan and am incredibly picky about what connects to me. I don't want thick, I don't want "basically chorus" (chorus is lame imo), but I do want subtle, simple, cutting. So despite having found & using my preferred flanger already it says a lot that I've pulled up their website to look into this pedal more.
