I love that you're covering all three Wonka films. "Pure Imagination", particularly the Wilder rendition. It instantly lets you know that you're in for a huge treat for both the eyes and ears, as you view the chocolate room for the first time.
There isn’t a single bad song in Wonka they’re all memorable and catchy and fun to listen to. I’ve listened to the soundtrack non stop it’s that addicting. If I had choose a favorite it’d be Wonka and Noodle’s duet “For A Moment” it’s sweet and highlights Wonka’s friendship with Noodle
My fave from the 3 movies. 1. Oompa loopa violet version 2. Garbage chute/ verruca salt 3. Sweet tooth Bonus: Charlie and the chocolate factory musical. Must believed to be seen
Pure Imagination number 1, why am not surprised? Cheer Up Charlie is truly a touching song, it makes me imagine my mom singing a lullaby like this to me as a baby.
Seriously Deep Roy doesn't get enough credit for his work on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Every time you see an Oompa Loompa on screen, is a singular shot of Roy, aka hundreds of takes. On top of that, he had to learn to sing, dance and play dozens of instruments and skills. He literally did the work of dozens of people and you can't even really tell in the film by how flawlessly everything comes together. Bravo Deep Roy!
My List of how it was suppose to be 1. Pure Imagination (Willy) 2. World of Your Own (Wonka) 3. All the Oompa Loompa Songs (Willy/Wonka) 4. For a Moment (Wonka) 5. The Candy Man (Willy) 6. I've Got a Golden Ticket (Willy) 7. You Never Had Chocolate Like This (Wonka) 8. Scrub Scrub (Wonka) (such an earworm, and can't stop laughing everytime) 9. Cheer Up Charlie (Willy) 10. I Want It Now (Willy) Honorable Mentions: Sweet Tooth, Hatful of Dreams, Violet's Song (Charlie) Sorry that there's no Charlie Songs on this list. Its cause that after Decades has past, and also cause of songs from Wonka came along shortly afterwards, its kind of easy to see what it has become. (Wonka's 2023 choices are very catchy/comforting/and fun all at the same time. Tim Burton's Version is still good, but comparing to all 3 Wonka Films 1. Willy 1971 2. Wonka 2023, 3. Charlie 2005 And Honestly, 6-10 can be mixed up anytime. The same way goes for 1-5, besides Pure Imagination, and World of your own. Timothee is such an Amazing/Astonishing Singer to listen to everytime.
The songs from the new Wonka movie have found a permanent place in my heart. I adore these songs, all of them including the ones adapted from the 1971 version. Beautiful, everyone of them.
Damn, you did Wonka's Welcome dirty. I'd consider it one of the best, considering it tells you so much about Wonka before you even meet him. Also it really banged.
Meh, I think the lighter tone they went with in the original fits with it more. That’s exemplified in wonkas welcome song compared to the fake out backflip in the original
I think I liked the newer Wonka movie better than the last two, especially because of the actor who played the role of Willy Wonka, he's so adorable and his singing is unmatched!
I love all of the songs in all 3 movies!! My favorites though are Pure Imagination (both versions), For A Moment, A Hatful of Dreams, and You’ve Never Had Chocolate Like This (Hoverchocs & the longer version)!
“I Want It Now” being filmed on Julie’s birthday is extremely fitting for the song I vaguely remember her mentioning in the dvd commentary how the retakes were because of the boxes she kicks not falling over like they wanted. I think. It was something to do with the boxes. Edit a couple days later because I rewatched the movie with commentary: what she said about the boxes is that they had to be re-stacked the same way for every re-take to maintain continuity.
I maybe the minority but I couldn't get into the gene wilder version of wonka growing up watching it on dvd. It was just to slow for my taste as a kid. But i did highly enjoyed the johny deep version and the 2023 version one. to me were both masterpieces. Loved how the 2023 version was a homage to both films the gene wilder and deep versions throughout including in the songs, as well. I also loved how the 2023 version take was the people behind Paddington crew who did it phonamilly and take of it being kid wonka as a prequel take on the story. makes me want the team to do with a sequel with the same cast with new characters for 2025.
Love this!!! Willy Wonka (1970) has been an all time FAVORITE film of mine for YEARS and no better pick for #1 then Pure Imagination it captures Wonka’s essence PERFECTLY!! If I were making a list of songs from the Wonka franchise it would be my #1 too it’s my absolute FAVORITE and Gene singing it is MAGICAL
SAME JEAN WILDER CAPTURES HIM SO WELL then Johnny deep is just like a socially awkward and funny one and then Timothy chalamet did much better than I expected lol
My favorite songs from willy wonka movies are Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory 1971 1.Candy man 2.Cheer up Charlie 3.I've Got a Golden Ticket 4.Pure imagination(1971 version) I little bit like the want song and oompa loompa songs too Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate 2005 Little bit like willy wonka theme song and oomp loompa songs too(but the loompa songs were catchie) Wonka 2023 I like all the songs. The lyrics of the songs were so written and amazing. But keep a little sercet. my top favorite songs were a world of our own and pure imagination(2023 version)(and the 2023 version of the 2 oompa loompa songs)
I just love the world of Charlie and the choc factory sm 😭😭 wonka is one of the best films I’ve ever seen and, as a Brit, I love sweet tooth SO MUCH bc of fickelgruber / mathew baynton
honestly for me Wonkas welcome song is ranked way higher. its just going inside the brain i love it 😂 so iconic! also its the moment we first see willy wonka in this movie
One of my favorite books as a child, and when i saw an old video of the first movie, its been with me ever since. Loved this. Of course that is number 1.
Definitely the Violet Beauregarde song, it has a catchy tune and beat. Have a happy wednesday afternoon, Emely, take care and God bless you, greetings from Colombia to you as well.
I too preferred the newer version of Pure Imagination. It's likely a hot take, but I enjoy its more upbeat tone, and Timothee Chalamet is definitely more of a singer, though I still like Gene Wilder's version as well.
Honestly, the Willy Wonka song in the Johnny Depp version is kinda traumatizing. Whereas the the Gene Wilder is heartwarming and dark which is always a good combo.
From The 2023 Movie: 1. A World Of Our Own 2. Pure Imagination 3. Hat Full Of Dreams From The 2005 Movie: 1. Mike Teavee 2. Main Titles 3. Augustus Gloop From The 1971 Movie: 1. Pure Imagination 2. Candyman 3. I've Got A Golden Ticket
Lots of mentions of the one actor who played all of the Oompa Loomas, but not one shout out for the one who sang all the songs? Danny Elfman not only wrote all the music and lyrics, but he also sang every part in all of the new songs!
The 2005 version is actually the better movie and adaptation than the original version since it is more faithful to the book and Tim Burton was the perfect director. The 2005 version deserves more love and recognition since a lot of care was put into this adaptation.
My Wonka ranking 1 Tie between Charlie 2005 and Wonka 2023 2 Charlie Musical 3 Fry and the Slurm Factory (futurama) 4 MeatCanyon Vid 5 Tom & Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory 6 A dead rat 7 Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
@@kdkgamerman5296 nope Willy wonka and the chocolate factory is not even close to the book go watch why is Charlie and the chocolate factory better than willy wonka and the chocolate factory
Here's my personal top 10 1. Pure Imagination 2. Candyman 3. Oompa Loompa Dompety Doo 4. Golden Ticket 5. A World of Our Own 6. Agustus Gloop 7. A Hatful of dreams 8. For a Moment 9. You've Never Had Chocolate Like This 10. Scrub Scrub
There should have been a bonus like other videos. And the bonus should of been the version of Veruca's song from Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory when Charlie, Tom and Jerry run into Slugworth. It's cool sounding and amazing looking
I've never had chocolate like this in my life! (I'm eating chocolate right now.) Oh, how deliciously, miraculously good chocolate candies I'm consuming!
I would say all Wonka (2023) songs are good, better than the 2005 movie....of course the best one is Pure Imagination that can be heard since the beginning of the Wonka movie
I've seen both of the older movies, far preferring Gene Wilder's version, despite being a fan of Johnny Depp. I have not seen Wonka yet, but I will....and I'm not worried about spoilers.
How could it be anything *but* Pure Imagination? And the original gave so much more emotional strength to the reprise in Wonka. I was in tears when he started singing that!
If I had a Golden Ticked my favorite song would be A Hatful of Dreams from the 2023 movie Wonka, I went to see the movie with my dad is Saturday and it was really funny.
I like the rowing song because it shows how wonka is a little crazy after being holed up for like 7 years or something but still keeping the light tone
Did anyone else realise Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory was more about Charlie? Then Charlie and The Chocolate Factory was more about Willy Wonka
