Lchaim. I was born March 11th in Bethlehem. I'll teach you some Aramaic. It's the slang of Hebrew. Schlama means peace. Malkuth means heaven. Hubba means love. Hubba to you all.
@@SaintFranssoix still kind of funny to imagine how they read those comments and dry their tears with one layer tissues, cause thats all they can afford
I had the pleasure of seeing one of these recordings in person last week while visiting Seattle and I couldn't agree more. It sounded even better than the album. I don't know if they do further mixing and cleanup before posting the recording, but even the live version in the room was incredible. Top of their game for sure.
I put that in the top 100 rock (all varieties / sub-genres) performances of all time. Cut that stuff into a gold disc and fire it into the extra-stellar void so someday “someone” can get a taste of what humans could do when at our best and working together.
The worst thing is you can't find the KEXP versions on spotify which is a crime since they I prefer many of their songs the way they perform them live than studio like someone mentioned Blood and Sand is phenomenal in vocals but also the feeling overall I just couldn't dig the studio version at all as I was introduced for that song from KEXP's live version and thinking now I'm sure I wouldn't like the studio version had it been my first time listening to it either way, it just doesn't do it for me.
I just love the fact that KEXP love these guys as much as I do. One of my best discoveries in the past 5 years, already up there with some of my favorite bands ever.
Im just a listener but i belive he is one of the greatest guitar players at this moment. This band is awesome and im greatful to be able to enjoy them.
Ben McLeod should be on the front cover of every single guitar magazine. And I am glad their original keyboard player is back. They weren’t the same without him.
@@chainframe I think they definitely are but what do you call over 600,000 followers on just Spotify and I’m sure that number is low. That doesn’t feel underground but they have that feel forever
It’s time for this mythic band to release the complete KEXP Sessions as an album. The sound engineering is excellent in all aspects; as always from KEXP. The energy captured is unrivaled in all sets. Badass improvisation as well. Greetings from Mexico!
This band really understands the idea behind letting their songs and their instruments breathe. No one tries to outshine any body or do anything extra. Only what is necessary for the track. That probably comes with their chemistry and experience.
Lemme tell you people somethin' ...I'm a half-ass musician up in my 60's always lookin' for new music. It's always a treat to find someone like this who has their own "original sound"! These guys are really good...I live for this kinda stuff!! 💥😎💥
Allan provides a whole new dimension to everything off of Nothing as the Ideal (recorded in his absence) - it is such a treat to hear the live recordings with his stellar additions. I can't wait for their Denver residency🤘🏼
@@hrk262The Austin residency was so good. Only caught one day but wish I could have been there everyday. Sleeping Through the War live in it's entirety was fantastic.
The previous KEXP sessions brought me through the lockdowns. This band is just on another level, its unreal. Stellar performance by the sound team aswell. Thanks for having ATW again.
Check out Nick McCabe from The Verve (of Bittersweet Symphony fame), the band as a whole and their guitarist seem to take a ton of inspiration from their early records. Toooooons of psychedelic, ambient, heavy tasteful playing.
I don't mean to understate my opinion, this is the best rock band I've had the joy to experience in my 75 years. I have been blessed got to see Jimi live in Berlin but a drunk agent threw a stun grenade on stage and killed his hearing in his left ear. It was all down Hill after that , police dogs and cops with automatic weapons, such was 1969 Berlin Germany. Then 15-20 years later SRV appeared, again fate intervened had great seats and Stevie was on fire. I have to see ATW live, I need a good recharge!!!
I just saw these guys kill it three nights in a row at the Troubadour! If you can see them live do it, they're easily one of the tightest bands I've ever seen!
Yoo! Believe me.. as soon as i get wind that they are touring in germany or in uk.. or anywhere near these places, ill be on my witches broom zoomin! :D
Coming from someone raised in Led Zep, Sabbath, Floyd, Allman Brothers Band and many more; I can say that Ben is what Rock guitar is really about. Holy f*ck. They're tiiiiight ❤
And there's a band from the '70, named WIRE, same atmosphere album 154, listen please to track i should have known better. Incredibly far inhead in time❣️👌
King Buffalo Psychedelic Porn Crumpets Frankie and the Witch Fingers Yuri Gagarin Dream Wife (euro punk chicks) This Is The Kit (kinda folk rock) Wo Fat Have fun...
Agree. That new space that Ben found was created by Allan. I think that Robbie is also using that space as is Parks. Liked the 3 piece, but something more magical exists with all 4 Witches.
Myself and two of my best friends got to attend the filming of this at KEXP and watched from the glass behind Parks. Such an amazing experience! Thanks to ATW and KEXP for doing these!
@@alimfar6206 It was announced a few days before the recording date. The first 60 in line at KEXP 2 hours before the show received an entry pass. Me and my two best friends drove up from Portland OR at 5am to ensure we were able to snag one, and sure enough, we did! Once and a lifetime experience for an ATW fan!
And just like that.. rock found its voice again. It always does…😎.. music will always win. Gratitude to all the musicians, producers, engineers.. keep on rocking in the free world!
Perfectly and stunning performance . Ben is the new David Gilmour of our time. I love the chemestry of this band so much....pure magic. And thank you KEXP for the awesome sound quality once again.
This live performance of See You Next Fall is the most amazing, hypnotic, and drift-away piece of music I've never heard in many years. Sonic perfection. Can't get enough of it. By the way, I'm 66 years old.
I may be an old guy now,@@MrGordy41 - but it gives me great pleasure to see that amazing music is not dead after all. I grew up on The Who, The Stones, Zeppelin, and all of the other legends. This band cancels out the crap music of the late 90s and early 2000s, and restores my faith. This track ( "See You Next Fall " ) in particular, just takes me away to another space. I just drift. I just love to float away on those guitar and key sounds. To me, it's an 11 minute long escape from pretty much everything.
LOL,,I know, Im 61 and grew up on the same music, I still consider us young. I def agree, rock is not dead with bands like ATW, King Buffalo, and such.@@spudbusted
Thanks so much for replying@@MrGordy41 . Seems we share the same visions that way , to some extent at least. You would probably hate me for my selling off all of my vinyl album collection from the 70s and 80s a few years ago, but I did hold onto my cassette collection, so I might be forgiven to some extent. : )
I like this version of "See You Next Fall" better than the album version. They're both awesome, but this one is on a different level for me. Thank you, algorithm, for introducing me to a new (to me) band.
Same feeling I got! This is my first introduction to ATW, and at times I felt like I could close my eyes and hear Duane Allman…not so much the selection of notes as the technique and the sound of the flying V. These guys are definitely the real deal! Love all of them!
Wow, this is my new band. The fuzz from which evades a melody is real! I love it. Tranquility an strenght in the voice and full fuzz chaos in the notes. Guitar is masterful and violin a big plus. BRAVO. Thanks.
Howard shore recorded some of the lord of the rings soundtrack at abbey road . ATW did their last record there. I think that’s cooler than the Beatles and Clapton
such an interesting sound - loud but quiet....build ups with no explosions...laid back rock...not sure if I've heard anyone like this before....kinda like it :)
Got super lucky to be in the space that morning to witness this performance and then see the Dying Surfer set that night. Incredible live band, one of the best currently doing it.
I'm glad Allan's back but I don't think they were lacking in any department without him. These guys are the tightest band around and so incredible live.
this band is just incredible,The talent that each member has is very unique. The sound they produce is mesmorizing. I have been lucky to see them live in person. Looking forward to seeing this band grow bigger and bigger.
My favorite rock band on my favorite RU-vid radio show. These dudes are awesome. This band just keeps on getting better and better, it is a fk'n trip to behold and I'm old. These dudes are lyricists, these dudes are musicians. They have actual talent. It's a rare thing.
Got to eat my breakfast and listen to these guys this morning. Bliss. They sound so tight. Kind of like they’re releasing all the energy built up during that time off.
In all the genres these guys spanning over, they must be one of the best bands emerging...insane quality and they keeep getting better. Also great Alan's back, gives ATW that lovely bluesy gentleness. I got so much love for this band and might not be the only one....
Tight, tight, tight. A whole lot of very famous bands in the 70's just dreamed of being so good and precise. All of these guys display the results of what must have been a sick amount of practice. One last thing, a completely better band with the keyboard player, adds another dimension.
they're just sooooo incre-fuckin-dible!! and rob is really one of the best drummers out there, his playing not only supports, but highlights everything going on, makes every second better, gorgeous playing!! 👏👏
I don't know how I managed to miss this for 2 months, but incredibly stoked I stumbled upon it...I've listened to these guys more than I can count over the past year.
Man, thank you so much for having them again! I just can not get enough of All Them Witches. Every KEXP live session with them is such a blast. Please invite them in again when their next album dropped.
History is going to prove that NPR "tiny desk" was there, but KEXP is the place where incredible sounding concerts happened. The sound man on KEXP is a PRO... Nothing on the net= the internet soujnds as good as the SQ of the KEXP shows. I dont think these artists who play these shows realized that they will never sound better.. Not on Records, not in live concerts.. But Here on KEXP, the quality of these recorded shows is just the very best. If you've not heard the KEXP shows on good headphones, then you ain't living right.
