That is also how it worked in BT3, however I don't believe it actually consumed the Blast Stock/Skill Count but you definitely could not enter sparking when at 0 blast stock
From my understanding, if you dont want to spin the anologue stick just set your controlls to standard and then change your button inputs to match the classic style.
I'm playing standard controls because my classic controls are the wii mote and nunchuck😂 btw it was fun as hell playing bt3 on the wii there's just something charming about hold the Kamehameha pose to charge it and then doing the motion to boost it, it was an awesome experience ❤ but like I'm still super excited to get to play this when it drops lol
Facts bro, the fun factor for the wii version is so underrated just due to being able to mimic the attacks like that. Felt so good as a kid to get the supers to come out with the actual motions from the show. Ngl, I hated playing Tien though. I could never consistently get neo tri-beam to work using the nunchuck lol.
That's such a cool experience!!! I haven't heard much about that type of experience that's soo cool! I hope ebfb sparking zero comes out it has its own unique charm yeah
This is why I was so surprised when I learned there were quite a decent amount of people who liked Tenkaichi 2 more than 3. I only played both versions on the Wii 😅
Really appreciate you on this, I have to re-learn everything before the game comes out. I haven't played a dragon ball game since BT3 and now I'm ready to get back into it.
@@itstoasty7089 Having knowledge as a baseline will be good to start off with. I'm big into ranked games so this is gonna satisfy the itch. I'm insanely competitive. In this game, the only thing that's separating me and the other person is skill and time invested, not my teammates haha
I’ve never played a game in the Tenkaichi series but I’m really excited to play Sparking Zero. This video will be rlly useful when I get into the game. Thank you for this thorough tutorial!
I appreciate this video man. Keep up this type of effort with your videos and you will for sure blow up off this game. I can't wait to see the progress man. Ill see you in game for sure.!
This may have been mentioned already before, but it's confirmed you can remap controls on either Standard or Classic. So you can pick Standard for the clashes then remap the buttons in game to mirror Classic controls.
Yup someone told me in the comments before. I'll be doing a full game review when I get my hands on the game. I hope this is true becuase they cooking if so
Hey man just stumbled across your channel and this video seems very useful, and just judging of how well youre explaining things so far, and your voice, i was wondering if you have ever considered do what ifs about dragon ball?
Awesome video! I can't wait for the scenarios where one player is on 1 hp and a beam struggle is triggered, and both players boost as much as they can. One boosting for survival and the other boosting for the W... or even both for survival/W. This would be epic!😅
Subbed, as someone who hasn't played Tenkaichi since the 2nd game, I'm looking forward to playing this one, have played Kakarot, DBFZ, Xenoverse 1&2, looking forward to enjoying beginning to super, finally, straight through, and get to battle in the works tournament, oh how fun it's going to be, thank u for breaking downthe basics and what I need to know, I've never been particularly good at fighting games, but I enjoy playing through the story mode, so this should be a blast! 😃💯
Theres actually gonna be custom controls for specific things too. So there's a possibility you can play on classic controls but you could possibly mash the button instead in clashes. Source: Globku's recent videos of the final build. He didn't show the whole button list but there was more options based off the scroll bar in that part of the video.
On a side note, you can always assign the buttons however you want, even when the game has no custom controls option. You just need to go into your playstation setting and then you can do it under the „barrier“ option (not sure what its called in english).
Raging Blast 1 was my last investment into a DB game so I’m definitely glad the standard controls are a 1 to 1 those games….never really liked pressing circle to block in the Tenkaichi’s either
While the “mashing” input is tied to classic and modern controls, i think u can change each individual input. So u could pick modern, and then change every button to match classic, then u can have the mashing input u like
I have a dual sense edge, and already had to replace my left stick once after waiting for them to be back in stock...guess im stuck on the new controls.
11:34 Is this special animation triggered specifically for UI Goku vs Black Goku, or could there be a default one or a special one for all characters? And to trigger it, do I need to counter a 'revenge counter'? Are there any other videos or gameplay that show it? That's because, at 11:54, Gohan takes the stance but no special animation is triggered...
No. It is NOT specifically only ui goku vs goku black. There is other footage that has come up recently, it seems to be a default one. This animation as said, is trigger when opponent 1 does a revenge counter, then opponent 2 does perception and counters opponent 1s RC. The reason why it didn't trigger for gohan is becuase piccolo is attacking normally. Piccolo did not do a revenge counter.
The beam struggles objectively are bad. I have multiple reasons 1. obviously the environment disappears. Can’t wait to see Kid Goku and Yamcha break dimensions smh. 2. The beam clash has no actual struggle. You don’t know if you’re actually winning until it’s over. No back and forth struggles to hype the beam clash 3. The beam clash sets both players to a neutral standpoint towards each other. So no “I’m going to destroy the entire planet” beam clashes. I know people will want to roleplay trying to destroy the arena. But with this beam clash system we can’t do that.
Sparking Zero is my childhood dream, been playing BT3 since I was 10 this game is gonna be pure fire, that being said, I wish we get to see Cell get like a golden form in Sparking Zero (not going to happen), nice video man, we really need to get Cell back in DB, I just made a cover of the Cell theme in my channel, check it out if you like metal!!
Standard controls are very close to RB controls. But ive heard you are able to customise every button to your liking on your controller. i will cover that when i get my hands on the game
Hi, great video 👍 That’s surprisingly quite rare to find people who actually know exactly how combos worked in Tenkaichi Also I have a question, and maybe you answered it in the video, and if so I’m sorry I missed it, but do you know if special smashs work the same way as in Tenkaichi, or is it like Raging Blast? In Raging Blast, every character had the same special smash at the same place, meaning that for instance if you do light attack x2 then triangle, it will do a sonic blast with every character Whereas in Tenkaichi, the Sonic blast (or any other special smash) will be different for every character, meaning for some characters it will be triangle after 3 light attacks, for some other it will be 4, for others it will be just 1, etc Not sure if I make much sens, but hopefully I do ^^
Yes. You're referring to rush techniques. Raging blast is very different to Tenkaichi 3 even with ut being a soul successor. To answer your question in tenkaichi the specia smash, sonic blast your referring to is just another name for rush technique. I believe vegeta has it in tenkaichi. Simply in raging blast everything is more simple when it comes to characters but it has its own depth. I suggest using any other tenkaichi game to practice SZ. As raging blast is only good if you know you'll be playing on standard controls.
@@SonDripku Hi, thank your for your answer but that wasn’t exactly my question And sorry for my English, it’s not my 1st language, and I am not familiar with the US terms for Tenkaichi 👍 So my question is actually simple: Are the combos in Sparking Zero like the combos in Raging Blast, where every character has the same inputs when it comes to rush attacks, or is it like Tenkaichi, where the input for rush attacks are different for every character?
@@Ed_Crane ohhhhh. I see now. Don't worry, your English is actually good hey nice work. To answer, it will be like Tenkaichi. we've seen some gameplay of it where know that's the case. And SZ is also a direct continuation of Tenkaichi 3. Hopefully this one helps lol
Nah definitely not imo. Tekken is awesome I still play it everyday but tenkaichi is legendary and it has soo much depth in its own right. You should give the combo system a fair shot and keep an open mind!!🗣
Now don't be mad if our battles now become those funny amv memes of "I trained my homie and now out battles are like this" they show an intense stick fight on dbz levels of awesome
13:40 What I have heard is that you can customize the layout of the modern control scheme to be like the classic games, essentially letting you have the best of all worlds Classic control layout with the modern QTEs
I've also heard about this too. I definitely will cover it in a future video when I get my hands on the game. But if it true... THEY COOKING AND WE EATING
