Cyndi lauper was the very first cassette I ever bought . as a teenager I just thought she was the most amazing sing around the planet she was into wrestling, I love her cute quirky voice, she's saying amazingly. And I loved her redish orange hair.

Cyndi...the weirdest of them all (and we love her for that). This was 1983 and she was really enjoying the new wave sound and combine it with some other different genres - the album has some ska, new wave, ode to rockabilly, pop rock and of course the ballads. Cyndi wanted to make sure there was a collection of sounds coming together and her vocal would deliver. I recommend her 90's output so you can hear the collective sounds: That's What I Think, Who Let in the Rain, Sisters of Avalon, Balld of Cleo and Joe.
