This is probably the best video on the bajillion trims Toyota offers for the RAV4. Thanks for explaining all the packages in an organized and intuitive way. Appreciate it!
@@toptrims Which model has the moonroof, awd and is NOT a hybrid? I also like light interiors and would prefer blue or green on the outside. Also, these don't have those kill switch things they were talking about on the news do they? Thanks for the help!
Very complete breakdown. This is one I'm going to be viewing multiple times to get it all straight but still a lot easier than trying to perform the same exercise on the Toyota website. Thank you!
I just got hired at a toyota dealership and im using this video to study… crazy how they wont teach you a thing and you have to learn all on your own. Anyways, good video.
Please make a video on the Rav 4 Prime. I am very interested. North east is not ready for all electric car. Infrastructure not there yet. I need to know more about how Toyota is making them for the ISA public and Specs
2024 is expected to be the one of the last years, if not the last year for this generation of RAV4, so there should be very minimal changes as far as the major features and design go. I wasn’t able to find the full specs for the 2023 model on Toyota’s website but looking at the key features they look identical. Was there any feature in particular you were looking for?
You should do the same breakdown(simplest ever) on other vehicles. Love it. Not long but enough essential info and none personal additives. Wish dealer would give e this types of info instead of asking how much can you afford monthly,😅? At least I found a dealer where I just picked up woodland Sienna at sticker price. 😆
Yes, the higher trims are listed as having an anti-theft system with alarm and engine immobilizer but all trims have the anti-theft system and immobilizer
Wow great video much appreciated. Now I can head over to the Toyota dealer and point out to the sales guy which one I want 🤔with confidence , if you’re not getting paid by Toyota you should get a referral amount? I believe you’ll make some cash, anyways thanks
That was the best trim package breakdown. My cousin back east bought a 2024 Rav4 Hybrid and he called it the ultimate trim package. I think he may have the limited. We just bought a 2024 Hybrid premium a week ago and love it.
Very good, concise video. Great! Thank you. Please make a video on the Rav 4 Prime. I've been on wait list for almost 2 years and starting to get "cold feet". My trade-in just keeps getting older.
I was able to snag a Unicorn - Army Green TRD that is being built and shipped to a local dealership. I get it in a couple of weeks. This video was well done !
Best to do your homework before going down there because they will jump on you and pressure you to buy what they have in the showroom. Also, beware they may sneak in a $1,700 markup for debatable accessories not on the window sticker.
XLE hybrid - it's the cheapest one that has the non-panoramic opening roof. Otherwise i would choosing a Venza or a Prius (unless it has no spare tire)
The type of traction battery also depends on trim: NiMH or LiIon. We need a similar comparison for Europe, where specifications are poorly written and options are very limited. For example, the only colours available for the Adventure are dark. And I live in a region where 7 months of the year is sunny. I am forced to choose between the dark grey Adventure with dark rims and a trim that has light colours but no vectoring.
Thanks for the comment! I’m not sure if it’s different in Europe, but for the US, all Hybrid RAV4 models have NiMH and just the RAV4 Prime model (PHV/PHEV) is Li-ion. Interesting they wouldn’t give more color options, although a lot of the more novelty color options change by model year here. Best of luck!
I like the adventure trim because it is more truck like. Price is right for my budget and the army green is cool. I would like to know the ground clearance on this trim. I was really been waiting for the Tacoma but the mpg on this truck was very disappointing.
Thanks to your video I used it as a guide when buying my RAV4. I got the Hybrid XLE premium with the all weather and tech packages added. Technically I didn’t need those but that was the only hybrid they had and already came with them. Also got it in blue print which again no other options lol since I needed a car right away. Turned out I like the color a lot more in person. The soft Tex seats are a little meh, not sure why TOYOTA’s seatings are so much worse than Lexus given that they’re pretty much same company. Overall I love the car. Just hope I did ok with negotiating the price lol. Sell price with all packages added was about 40k. In the end I got it for a little under 42k plus all the taxes and fees. I felt like I just went to war dealing with the dealership. They’re vicious. The initial pricing was almost 50k before taxes and titling! Crazy! I’m so glad I did my research. Thank you again for the great video.
Congrats on the new ride and hopefully you have many years ahead enjoying so you won’t have to go through that again soon. Thank you so much for the thoughtful comment and so glad this video helped!
XSE requires option package to add some features that come standard on the Limited. Things like the fully digital gauge cluster and JBL premium audio for example. Limited also has front ventilated seats and option to add heated rear seats, so basically more “luxury” interior features. XSE can still come pretty loaded though and agreed that the styling is a bit more appealing
@@toptrims The LX CRV for $30k is the same deal. I just got 24' CX-50 S preferred edition for $32k OTD. Much better interior quality than the competition.
I think Toyota should evolve the Adventure/TRD Off Road trims into its own model for 2026 redesign. Drop the Rav4 name and make it ICE only. The Rav4 goes hybrid/plug in only as the soccer mom suburban CUV. Kind of like how Subaru has the Outback and Forester models. They have all the niches filled.
Thank you for this breakdown, the Toyota website is so NOT helpful in breaking down the differences in the trims. So remote start is not a feature on any of the trims?
Thank You SO VERY MUCH,😊❤ I Am Going To Buy a New 2024 RAV4 XLE FWD Blue w/Black interior. Options: Cold Weather Pkg and CAT Shield Pkg.. A pair of Snow Tires.😎💙💙😎 Boston MA..
Got the 2023 hybrid LE, because it was most barebone. Plus didn't want the key-less ignition. Toyota's safety sense and blind spot is a guaranteed option they added for hybrid le. Didn't see a single one at base price without safety sense included when I was shopping in the PNW. The option is a gimmick it is a standard (with the up-charge). but yes I find it very useful and should be a standard.
My neighbor got a great deal on a 2023 limited and he put the Iron Man's suspension on it what's 17 inch KMC Wheels 2 45 65 17 is in maxxis razor AT 11's that thing looks great! The funny thing is the wheel and tire combo for each wheel weighs the same as the factory wheel and tire so he didn't gain any weight.
RAV4 doesn't use a CTV, it uses an eCVT. Though they both have CVT in the name, their technical implementations are worlds apart. An eCVT doesn't use a belt/chain, instead it uses electronic motors to control gear production. I believe the Honda CR-V also uses a eCVT.
That’s a great question. Automakers position certain vehicles differently in different markets for many factors including regulations, sales volume, demographics, supply chain, etc. Not sure about that one specifically, my guess would be they don’t sell many of the hybrid limited in certain configurations of option packages and/or the profit margins are better. Thanks for the comment!
I need flashcards of this! Normally I notice things like music and backgrounds big time. I did not notice them at all just saw people in the comments... I was so into the content so you know this content is excellent. Thank you so much.
Fantastic breakdown of the different trims. I only wish you included the difference in tow ratings between the different trims too. Thank you for this comprehensive and thorough segment.
TRD Off Road is a unicorn. I’ve been scanning 5 Toyota dealerships in my area, I’ve yet to see one listed (and they even list vehicles that are in transit, and still in production).
brother.. there was a time when they were trying to simplify and streamline all these versions, but now it seems to be going in the other direction, back to chaos. It's lazy, almost like they gave up on figuring this out.
What the heck... this video is unwatchable because of the background shit. Sorry for language but it is very annoying. Gonna watch another RAV4 vid then. Is this supposed to get more viewers in? For me it is not working... I'm actually so annoyed... I had to make a comment about it. I'm sure the video is amazing... but it is unwatchable for me... I'm so sorry. Wish you all the best and good views... but please change strategie... or something...
